Lip Gloss lasts longer
I'd complained to a co-worker about my lip glosses and lip sticks not lasting long and she recommended the UD primer. I'd never used a primer for my lips before, but now I'll never stop.
This one is as easy to apply as chap stick and goes on smooth and feels moisturizing. It is clear on my lips, so I do not have any knowledge of the grey residue mentioned by another reviewer. The lip gloss definitely lasts longer - and I'm very hard on my lips, drinking coffee and wiping my face with a paper towel. I've also used regular glosses, lip sticks, and plumping glosses - all with good results.

Dries Out
I bought this because I own a lot of reds and dark colors that definitely need a primer to stay on. This primer, however, dries my lips out. I still use it because once you get it smoothed on and ready, the lipstick looks spectacular and also because I paid 18 or so bucks for it. Overall, that will probably be the last time I by this particular product because of the chalkiness, the drying out of my lips, and overall difficulty smoothing it. Obviously, this could just be a reaction to my own lips but I rarely have chapped lips, I use moisturizer everyday, and I drink tons of water so I am not entirely sure why I have this reaction.

Smoother application but a bit pricey
After using my regular lip balm to smooth out my lips before applying gloss or lipstick, my lips always seemed too slippery and the color wouldn't last too long. This makes my lips smooth without the slippery effect of lip balm, and helps with applying lip color to my lips, which get really flaky during the colder months. This helps smooth out the imperfections. It doesn't really help my lip products stay on longer, however, but maybe that's just my lips.
I don't love the price, and not sure if I would buy it again, as there's not as much product in the tube as I was expecting. But I don't want to go back to regular lip balms, so maybe this is the way to go!

Not too shabby..
I received this lip primer in my Box of Potions set, and while I'm not a HUGE lip product fan, this primer changed my thinking. I never wear lipstick but occasionally I will wear a lip stain or some gloss..the one thing I hate is having to reapply lip products over and over again, but this primer really helps to keep them in place. Unfortunately, it doesn't make applying the lip product any easier but it definitely brings out the pigment of the gloss and made my lips soft and smooth. I don't think I would purchase this by itself in the future but seeing as I hardly wear lip products, I'll have this primer for a long time.

Endless Red Lips!!!
I have very full, dry lips and have always shied away from bold lips because of the constant maintenance. This has made wearing the bold colors I love so much easier. Now I'm doing reds, brights and the sexiest dark rich colors regularly. I hardly wear gloss now so i'm feeling more sophisticated LOL! When I wear it alone it dries my lips more and if I apply lip balm 1st directly from the tube I do get some build up so I wish the formula was more moisturizing alone. I always exfoliate my lips and if I apply the lip balm with a brush the primer and and a lip liner my lipstick stays put for hours even through eating and drinking!

definitely helpful and great but maybe not a necessity
i like that these help my lipstick and/or lipgloss stay much longer. like all of the UD primers, this really works to increase staying power and really bring out the pigment of lip products you put on top. if you have a lip product in a shade you like but for some reason it just doesn't appear the same on your lips, get this because it will serve as a neutral base on your lips for the color's true pigment to show. for a while i've used a nude lipstick to make my lips a blank slate for a special color to be used on top, but it just doesn't hold. combine this with other UD lip products and it will last at least twice as long.

Excellent product!!
I hate wearing stuff on my lips... it's just uncomfortable... this pet peeve it along the lines of wearing a turtle neck.
Anyways... I love wearing balms and clear balmy type products so my lis don't get dry. My biggest problem is that to keep something on my lips for a long time, I had to use a goopy thick product... until now.
I do not wear this as a primer, I apply my balm and them dab this on over top of it,. It gives my lips a fresh dewey nude look and locks in moisture. I love that I can eat and drink through it and my lips still look dewey and pretty. Thanks for such a great product!!!!!

New favorite and a must have!
I have never used lip primer before, but I recently bought a lip color that tended to go on "feathery." I also have dry lips during the colder months, so it makes it harder to wear any type of lip color. I bought this to try, and I love it. It goes on super smooth, and it definitely makes my lips feel smoother and moisturized. The lip color goes on very smooth; the color looks amazing; and it has great staying power. It even was still on after I washed my face. I definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a good lip primer. It's well worth the price.
