Plum shadow (try Urban Decay's Last Call, $17; urbandecay.com) is a gorgeous contrast with Wilde's blue-green orbs.

 

SMOKY BLUE

 

For smoky eyes with a striking twist, Pecheux suggests sweeping on your usual black or gray shadow, then erasing a thin line above the lashes using a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover.  Fill in the space with a bright blue or teal eyeliner, blending it outward ever so slightly.
