A great beginner palette!
This was the first Urban Decay palette I purchased, and I used it nonstop once I bought it. The main draw was the colors; everything is bright and wonderful and you can tell the people who put the palette together really thought about what colors looked good together. The glitter fallout isn't really a problem for me, since I like how that looks, but it's easily fixable once you're doing the finishing touches on your makeup. I think anyone who purchases this will get what they paid for and more. Especially if it's your first palette ever. They lay the colors out by what looks good together, and once you're use to that, you can experiment all you want!

My absolute favorite product from Urban Decay!
This palette was the first piece of high end make up that I ever owned. I wanted eye shadow for everyday use, the Marine Ball, and raves, but UD was too expensive to buy all that. I found this palette and thought it was perfect. All my friends tried to talk me out of it, because of how expensive it was at the time, but I bought it anyways. I do not regret it! I've had it for over a year and I still have most of all the colors. And, I use them all on a regular basis. They are all perfect shades and go on beautifully. They even stay on my eyes, which is saying something since most shadow doesn't, even with primer. Love this and highly recommend it!

Great colour selection, amazing shadows.
First of all, the colour selection on this palette is amazing. You have a few neutrals, and lots of bright colours, so this is the perfect palette if you're just starting out. the neutrals are amazing and use them almost every day, however the bright colours can be kind of hard to get high pigmentation out of, and i don't really enjoy them as much. I do think that this is a great palette for the money though. Another thing i don't like is that a lot of the colours have CHUNKY, and i mean chunky glitter in them. it's a little hard to work with and it sometimes gets in your eyes, but perfect if glitter is what you're looking for.

Great palette for bold or neutral looks
This is the palette that made me fall in love with Urban Decay products. The color selection is great for when I want to do a bold, bright makeup look. "Last Call" and "Maui Wowie" are my two favorites in this palette, and they were the first 2 to disappear. On the days I want a more neutral day look, "Sin" is my go to color. The pigments in these shadows are fantastic. I'm definitely a happy Urban Decay customer, not only when it comes to the products, but also the websites customer service. This is the palette that got me hooked. I highly recommend it.

My First
The Ammo Shadow Box was my very first palette (I bought it last year when I decided to start wearing make-up) AND I DO NOT REGRET BUYING THIS!!!!!!! The colors are beautiful and last all day when used with Urban Decay's Eyeshadow primer potion. This palette is for great for beginners and for those who have more experience with make-up, GO NUTS WITH BLENDING! There are so many different night and day looks you can create with this palette that it's impossible to get bored. All in all, good job Urban Decay, because of this palette, the ONLY make up I buy is from Urban Decay. Rest assured that I will be buying more in the future.

Lovely!
This was my first UD palette, bought many years ago. I have to say, I still have some of this palette left and I don't use it as much BUT it's because makeup is my vice. I have so much, I really don't use this anymore. One thing I really hated was the cheapo applicator - get a good brush to replace it an you'll be fine.
It was great back when, and the colors are great and apply/blend great. My favorite colors out of the palette are polyester bride, chopper and mildew. They look GREAT together. Maybe someday I will use the last of the palette and purchase another? Probably not, though.

Great value super cute packaging
What a cute and super fun palette, i love the colors especially last call and mildew ( a super diferent and cute green), oil slick is the blackest black i have ever seen, and smog is such a pretty color, i have to say i love this color combination

I am in love.
This is the best palette I own. It's so pigmented and the colors are beautiful! If you love sparkles and shimmer, this is for you. The colors are super intense, perfect for a night out! Some of my favorite colors are, 'Shattered', 'Sin', and 'Grifter'
I would say that this palette is worth the price...you pay for good quality! Everyone should have this! It has a wonderful color range: Neutrals, and brights! Plus, the colors are super long lasting! Love this palette, and always will!

Eyeshadow essential
I received this as a christmas gift and i have to admit it was probably one of my most favorite items i got. I'm a nursing student so our makeup has to be applied lightly and i love this pallet because it has everything i could ask for. it has the light colors to go great with my uniform requirements and has the fun colors for when i'm going out. plus its small and fits great in my bag or in my car compartments. the only problem i have is that sometimes the powder from some of the colors fly into the other colors but it isnt anything i cant handle you learn to work with it and sometimes it makes a neat combination!

My first Urban Decay product and experience
The ammo shadow box was my first purchase. I love the colors and how easy it was to apply!! I really like how you can mix and match the different colors! The eye shadows have just the right amount of glitter in them and I love the fact they last all day or all evening! There is no need to touch it up! All of my friends love it and have giving me so many compliments!! Even
strangers ask me that my eye shadow i can't help myself i not only brag and tell them about it i take them to the Urban Decay website right then and there! This is truly how mich i love Urban Decay!!!

Good First Palette
Aww, this was my first UD purchase back in Summer of 2008! I had to have it because my BFF was wearing Last Call and Mildew from it and it looked awesome on her! Then my first college roommate also had it- so I had to try it out, too. I wasn't disappointed at all- my favorite shades were Maui Wowie and Last Call. I didn't care much for the really gliterry shades (Oil Slick, Asphyxia, Polyester Bride.. with the exception of Maui Wowie) but it's still a really interesting palette. You can surprsingly do a lot with this palette alone- it was always my go-to palette for most things. Good memories with this product :)

little palette with high-pigmented POW!
I ADORE this palette! The colors are absolute perfection and super-pigmented! I can go from a simple a daytime look to a dramatic nighttime look in an instant. It is small enough to fit into your purse (if you carry a medium to large-sized bag). If you are a UD fanatic, this is a must-have! Especially when you are on-the-go and can't bring your whole stash with you!
I also highly recommend this if you're looking for a gift for a make up lover! The value is amazing!
Keep this tucked in your make up bag with some travel-sized primer potion, travel-sized super curling mascara, a couple of travel-sized 24-7 eyeliners and a travel-sized all-nighter for non-stop eye epicness!

Some nice colors, but too many glitter-bombs
I received the Ammo palette as a birthday gift a few years ago. It was the first high quality makeup I had ever owned, and I immediately began experimenting with it. I came to adore some of these shadows, but quickly noticed that four of them are so packed with glitter that they are really difficult to use. I'll break this down by color to try to keep things organized.
Smog: I LOVE this dark bronze shadow. It's a great crease color that goes nicely with all the other neutrals I've used it with. I think it looks good blended out as a single-shade smoky eye that isn't too dark and overwhelming.
Maui Wowie: The first problem shadow of the bunch. The color is a very pretty gold, but the silver glitter in the mix often falls onto my cheeks. If I very carefully apply it with a stiff, flat brush and a tissue held under my eye, fallout is minimal, if any, so it is redeemable.
Mildew: Light mossy green with a sort of golden tinge to it. I like the color in the pan but haven't quite worked out how to make it look good on me.
Shattered: Bright blue-green that really enhances my eye color. I don't use it too often just because of how bright and attention grabbing it is, but the shift looks awesome in the sun.
Oil Slick: Another shadow with the problem glitter in it. I once tried to blend this shade out for a black smoky eye and not only did it look disastrous on the eye, I had glitter on my cheeks that took ages to remove. I use a small amount to occasionally darken up the crease, but my favorite use for this is as a liner applied with a push brush. I think the glitter actually makes this look ever better on the lashline than a totally flat black, and when applied this way fallout is not an issue.
Polyester Bride: The absolute worst shade in the palette - completely unusable. No matter how carefully I tried to apply this or what method I used, I got glitter EVERYWHERE.
Last Call: A really shimmery plummy color that looks terrible on me. The few friends I have used it on adored the shade and looked fantastic. I am jealous of them.
Grifter: The last glitter-bomb. This shade is very strange...it's a very sheer pink-purple with tons of silver glitter. Even if the fallout issue weren't so bad, I'm not sure how I would use this one.
Chopper: Coppery color with small silver glitter. Fallout is usually not an issue with this one after I tap off the brush. The shade itself is so nice, I think the glitter sort of messes with it.
Sin: Beautiful, universally flattering champagne. Everyone should have this color.
The color selection is great and the pigmentation is fantastic. Unfortunately, this doesn't completely make up for the unruly glitter. I'm fine with a little glitter, but not when it gets everywhere even after you go to great lengths to be cautious.

The Palette to End All Palettes
Purchased a couple of years back on a whim, with no prior knowledge of Urban Decay as a company and little interest in makeup to begin with, this palette paved the way for my interest in good eye makeup.
Strong colours, whether dusky or vibrant, which I fail to smudge despite my best efforts; an accidental brush of my hand against my eyes won't ruin my look, but that won't stop you from blending it with as little as a finger if you want to. My go-to shade is Smog, a killer brown, but my favourite overall is probably Shattered just because of how jeweled it looks.
I've used the dickens of out this palette and haven't run out of any colours; the best palette I've ever owned.

Got me hooked on UD
The Ammo Palette was one of my very first ever big makeup purchases, and it's one that I'm very glad I made. To this day, the palette has been my go-to for both neutral and colorful looks. My everyday eyelook consists of sin and smog, both of which are in this palette, and then at night time I add a touch of oil slick to the outer corners and sometimes along the eyeliner. So gorgeous, so sultry, so easy to get a bangin' hot look.
The only thing I wish is that shadows like Polyester Bride and Maui Wowie didn't have those huge glitter chunks in them. That's my only gripe about all UD shadows that have this. The glitters always fall out throughout the day, so get all over my face and sometimes even my boyfriend's face (I don't think many guys enjoy having glitter on their faces...).
This palette was the affordable way for me to try out shadows and find ones that I easily fell in love with, that I probably will (if I haven't already) repurchase in full-size.

Super fun colours!
My first ever Urban Decay palette! It was pretty much love at first sight, the colours are so bright and fun, and apply so nicely. Polyester Bride is such an amazing inner corner colour, it will brighten even the lightest of eye shadow looks, and make your eyes pop. Sin is one of my all time favourite Urban Decay shadows and looks fantastic as an all-over lid colour on absolutely anyone. Maui Wowie and Shattered are a lot of fun to play with! The colours are gorgeous and go together very nicely. Mildew is another favourite of mine because it is such a rich colour and has excellent payoff. I didn't care for Last Call though. It's a pretty colour, but I don't like it on myself.

Awesome stuff
Everyone praises the 24/7 Eye Pencils, but these Lip Pencils are just as amazing! The are super duper smooth and glide on easily without tugging at the lips or drying them out, they last forever, and they really help prolong the wear of lip stick and gloss. These pencils also help prevent feathering/bleeding of lip products.
My favorite is Wallflower because it is neutral and I can wear it with almost any shade of lipstick. Often times, I wear just these pencils on my lips as lip color, with just a gloss on top, because these pencils are pigmented, smooth, long-lasting, and non-drying.
The only con is that there need to be more shades, but what they have really is pretty good.

Too Much Glitter Fallout
I got this product after reading reviews that said it was great for beginners. The color selection is great, and the bright colors aren't too intense. It has been really nice to experiment with. However, the colors with glitter give me trouble. Whenever I use one of them, I get glitter flecks all over my face which is annoying- they don't come off without makeup remover. Also, even with primer the colors are not as pigmented as I expected and was told they would be. Overall, it was worth it since I got it during a sale- however, I would not be inclined to buy any sparkly eyeshadows from Urban Decay again.

all-around great product for any collection
I picked this palette out for my birthday the first time i'd walked into my makeup store several years ago, and i haven't traveled without it since. This palette is small enough that it doesn't take much room in your bag, but the colors are diverse enough to offer you an incredibly wide variety of looks for just about any occasion. The colors are fun and easy to pair which makes it an ideal pick for someone who is just starting out, as i was, and the quality is such that even with using it several times a week i'm still using the exact same palette i bought years ago, which makes it an awesome buy. I would definitely recommend this palette to anyone looking to expand their collection.

Love it!
This was my first UD eyeshadow purchase, and I chose this palette for its color selection. The colors are pretty universally flattering, imo, with a good range of both cool and warm tones that could work for day or evening. The quality of the shadows is pretty phenomenal. My only complaint might be all of the glitter "fallout," but I was kind of expecting that from what I'd heard of the brand and it doesn't bother me that much. I also agree with other reviewers that a proper brush applicator would have been preferable. Overall, I love this palette and now consider it a great staple in my collection!

Why it's not out of stock yet?
I got this when it's on sale and I can't believe it hasn't been sold out yet. This platte offers you great color (I mean it can easily go with your other eye shadows). But be aware that out of 10 colors, the OIL STICK, CHOPPER, MAUI WOWIE, POLYESTER, GRIFTER all have "shinny particles" (sorry I don't know how this is called in eyeshadow). Although those color are great for going out, I would not wear them in work. Also I suggest you buy the other eye platte is on sale now( the MARIPOSA), which is most earth tone color. Together they cost 30+, but they can complete a variety of day to night looks!

First Urban Decay
This is my first Urban Decay eyeshadow palette and I am officially in love with it. I was between selecting the Naked palette (because everyone loves it so much), this palette, and the "build your own" palette. I selected this one for three reasons; 1. the colors in this one had great variety which made it better for travel, 2. Ten amazing shades for $38 was a complete steal, and 3. I selected Mildew, Shattered, and Maui Wowie for my custom palette (I have a chance to try them out with Ammo). The shadow formula is wonderful, very buttery and soft. Overall, this palette is amazing and I will be repurchasing everyone of these shadows when I run out. I am now addicted to Urban Decay eyeshadows!

Good Introductory Palette
This palette has a good variety of shades and is excellent for someone on a budget or for someone who is just starting to foray into the world of non-drugstore makeup. I mean, it's probably not for your grandma because some of the shades have glitter, but otherwise just about everyone could find something to love about Ammo. You can do a ton of different looks from classic smokey to neutral. My favorite shades in this palette are Sin, Shattered and Last Call, but they're all really nice. I am laughing at the "Would you recommend this to a friend?" because I have and I will continue to do so.

Good quality pallette
This is a nice palette, although I don't personally have uses for every single colour. I found that the green shade was the only one that doesn't blend well. As for the wrest of the palette, it's fantastic and the shades are pretty pigmented. Sin is a beautiful colour on every skin tone.
p.s. I LOVE when small palettes like this come with a mirror because they're great to travel with. Con: The double sided foam brush is unimpressive. A more useful brush would be a short version of the one that comes in the Naked2 palette.
April 21, 2013
Excellent for a retro smokey eye..
I enjoy this palette immensely, and find it my absolute "go to" palette when i want to do a retro glam look with a bold lip look. Chopper, Sin, Polyester Bride and Smog bend beautifully to create the understated elegance of the retro eye, while Shattered, Mildew, Last Call and Grifter give you what you need to change it up to a modern look. Colors are well pigmented, except for minor fallout issues with Oil Slick. The palette is long lasting, richly pigmented, and offer a great variety if you only have room in your case to take ONE palette to work or while traveling. Definitely recommended!

Blasts Ammo full of Color Coordination
The packaging of this palette is compact and sleek, and it delivers the Urban Decay approach: Black, purple, and urban. It has a useful mirror inside for on the go application. There are ten shadows that are beautifully pigmented and shimmery. You get a black and white, four neutrals, and four colors. Any combination of these eye shadows go perfectly together. So well in fact, that you could use this palette as a metaphor if you were comparing something else going together perfectly.
If I could improve this product, I would put a miniature shadow brush where the sponge tip applicator is.

Was my first palette
After buying this palette, I became addicted to Urban Decay! These shades are all incredible! My absolute favorite shade is Chopper. That one was emptied pretty quick, that I had to buy it in a single. I used just about every color. I love the size of this, it fits in any purse I use. I also LOVE the size of the mirror. Even tho the edges of this palette are worn out (after 3 years of usage) it has not torn or ripped. This is really a great buy for all the shades you get. Well worth it. Once I completely finish my first one, I definitely would purchase this again. Classic. My first love.

Great for starting out on your UD collection
I got this palette when I was starting out on makeup. I just love the colors that this palette had. It was very easy to form looks based on the colors they give you.
The eyeshadows have great pigmentation. None of the colors are matte, but they have a great shimmer that's not overkill. It also applies evenly and easily blenadble.
The one downside is, it can provide fallout, but that can be fixed with a sweep of a fanbrush.
So, if you're thinking about starting a collection of UD or just want some UD products in your makeup bag, this palette is great. Very compact and easy to travel.

A must have for all!
I first heard about this palette from youtube makeup guru Promise Phan. She showcased the colors in a lot of her looks. After weeks of lulling it over, I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. It was my first UD purchase, and I couldn't be any happier.
The colors are bright, bold, and glittery. The pigmentation is astounding - far superior to some of the same shades I've seen at MAC. Let's not forget the packaging...how sick! I can't even count the number of UD products I have purchased just based on packaging alone. I have a problem.
Simply put. A must have for all make up fans.

More than I expected
I use the Ammo Shadow Box everyday, no joke. My boyfriend got it as a gift for me on the random knowing I am a UD freak and it was WAAAY more than I expected..10 pigments with varying contrast, all very shimmery. My personal favorite pigments are Mildew, Shattered, Sin & Polyester Bride, especially against my blue eyes. All the swatches are totally blendable; I use at least 3 or 4 when applying. It is also very small and thin - perfect for travel. This palette is essential for all UDers and is fun to play with! No complaints, except that I would say I don't ever use the applicator.
