Don't understand the hype I purchased this product because it had gone on sale and was now significantly cheaper than my normal go-to makeup that I purchase at a retailer in a department store. I had heard many people rant and rave about this eyeshadow, and since they were finally affordable, I caved to see what the big deal was. Even though I was able to nab this product FOR A STEAL it was still a huge waste of money.... I purchased colors: - Half Baked: A mediocre brown. Wasn't over glittery like many other colors, but wasn't better than my usual makeup, either. - Kiddie Pool: An okay teal. Again, wasn't over glittery like many other colors, but wasn't better than my usual makeup, either. - Mary Jane: This was my favorite color of the bunch. Was shimmery but not glittery and went on very smooth. A pretty silvery blue. - Midnight Cowboy: This is supposedly their most popular color, and I do not understand how. This color is horrendous and is practically SOLID glitter. I ended up with so much glitter ALL over my face. Epic fail. - Midnight Cowboy Rides Again: Another disaster. Overly glitter and just an overall hot mess. - Midnight Cowgirl: I liked this color. It's a bit into the yellow tones for my liking as a go-to neutral color, but it highlights the eye area nicely. However, it is very glittery and difficult to apply because of the fallout. - YDK: An okay brown. Not atrocious like some of the others, but I'm still not going to pick it over my usual brand of makeup. - Strip: This is a nice velvety and shimmery vibrant gray. I liked this color. It was easy to apply and didn't contain chunks of glitter. - Purple Haze: Horrendous. Doesn't blend at all. Impossible to apply and spread evenly onto eyelid. This seems to be a problem with their purple tones... - Psychadellic Sister: Blech. Does not spread onto eyelid evenly, there are always bald spots, and I use a professional and expensive eyelid primer. Again, this is a purple color, and their purples, for whatever reason, are garbagey and do not spread. - Ecstasy: Another purple. Slightly better than the other purples but needs multiple, multiple applications to sort of be applied evenly. Texture is just funny, I don't know what is wrong with their purple dyes... So, out of 11 products, I have 3 that I actually like and use (Mary Jane, Midnight Cowgirl, and Strip), 3 that are mediocre but not stellar enough to make it into regular rotation (Half Baked, Kiddie Pool, and YDK), and 5 that are trash-tastic and will be given to my 10-year old cousin for dress-up play-time (Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, Purple Haze, Psychadellic Sister, and Ecstasy).
