This is the product we were born to make – our best-seller! Professionals, celebrities, and makeup junkies swoon for our wide array of shades. Each one is pigment-rich: we load the shadow with color, and add very few binders (the stuff that holds shadow together), resulting in beautiful color that blends easily and lasts. Lots of finishes to suit your mood: sparkle, shimmer, duotone or un-sparkly satin.

Our subway token compact comes complete with a window (see your shade without opening), and snaps shut with one hand – no more lost lids.

Best eyeshadow I've tried! I love UD shadows! Originally, I balked a little at the price but if you use a primer, they last long enough to make the higher price worth it. I've recently had to get supermarket brands to get by as I wait for the "good stuff" to get here and man am I spoiled! The pigmentation can't be beat, especially with Urban Decay! There's something for everyone and I really like that. If you like lots of intense color, these fit the bill. If you like neutrals, they have a wonderful selection with so many options everyone walks away happy. The constant complaint that comes up is the fallout from glitter. Yes, there can be lots of glitter in some of these shadows but I've been able to manage well enough to love these too. First of all, you have to use a primer and ideally, the glitter shadow would be the first layer touching the primer. I use Midnight Cowboy or Cowgirl and these are pretty sparkly but I've also done it with darker shades and blended later with lighter shades...kinda backwards I guess? Also, I use a sponge applicator and it seems to keep the little sparklies on my eyes and less on my cheeks. This is just what has worked for me, everyone probably has a different strategy. I also suggest getting these in a set, way more fun that way and then you can order separates when you know which shades you love. This is how I found out that I LOVE black eyeshadow...who knew? Quality, variety, and staying power. Roach is perfect for hazel-eyed gals! I first tried this eyeshadow back in 2006 in 'Purple Haze'. I LOVED it. The color is so deep and vivid and I always get compliments on it when I wear it. My daily 'go-to' color however is 'Roach'. It is the absolute perfect blend of mauve/brown with a slight gold metallic sheen for those of us with hazel eyes. While I'm sure the color would look absolutely great on most anyone, this particular color is THE most flattering color I have ever tried for my eyes. So many cosmetics companies overlook us hazel gals and throw us the usual greens, browns, and the occassional bland looking purple to make our eyes 'pop', but I always found them lacking. They always just make my eyes look 'muddy'. UD on the other hand, made me a fan for life with this one! 'MaryJane' is a lustrous silver-blue metallic color that seems to change in different light. Very futuristic, and I love it too. I save 'Lounge' for special occassions. It's a brown/blue shifting color that never fails to draw attention. I would say it has the same beautiful iridescent color shift that you see in natural peacock feathers...very unique! ...and also another great color for hazel eyes! All of the UD eyeshadow colors I've tried have not disappointed! The pan seems to last forever #even for a daily user like me# and only increase in their vividness on lids when combined with the equally fabulous Shadow Primer. There are colors for all occassions that go on smoothly every time. Every time I stray and try a different brand, it doesn't take me long to come back to these UD beauties! March 15, 2012
Buttery-smooth, Highly Pigmented, Stays On All Day I adore UD shadows! I've used them over different primers, on bare skin, with different brushes, with my fingers, layered, and single, and they've looked stunning every single time. Virgin (a pale, slightly shimmery pink) makes a great highlight/inner corner colour. Sin (a slightly darker, metallic rose) is a great natural color to use on your lids for soft looks. Naked (a matte, pale beige) is the exact colour of my lids and is good for no-makeup looks. Sidecar (a glittery taupe) is quite beautiful, but the amount of glitter fallout puts me off of using it much. If it didn't have the glitter, it would be my favourite colour. Buck (a matte nutty brown) is the crease complement for Naked, and is a good brow colour for most. Half Baked (a bright, metallic gold) is absolutely lovely on the lid, and can be used for both daytime and nighttime looks. Smog (a gorgeous burnt, shimmery, deep gold) is my absolute favorite colour in this palette. I use it on the lid almost daily, alone. Darkhorse (a dark greenish-brown with gold flecks) is a lovely crease colour. Toasted (a dark, metallic purplish pink) is a great sultry lid colour to use in both light and dark looks. Hustle (a dark shimmery reddish-purple) is a wonderful crease colour and works very well with every colour in the palette. Very user-friendly. Creep (a glittery black) is a great black to have, although I could do without the glitter in this one. It's not as bad as Sidecar though, the glitter stays on your lids. Gunmetal (a metallic silver) is an absolute must-have when creating smokey eyes, a true shadow gem! January 31, 2012
