My FAV UD Palette!
I am new to using Urban Decay products. I bought my first palette (The Black Palette) approximately two weeks ago and I fell in love with the texture, ease of application, and blendability of this brand of shadows. Since then, I have absolutely indulged myself in the purchase of all things UD! I now own the Smoked Palette, the Black Palette, Eyeshadow Ammo Palette, Deluxe Shadow Box, the Build Your Own Palette, and I just ordered the Feminine Palette!
On top of this, I have also purchased several single shadows including, Woodstock, Haight, S&M, Kush, Radium, and Baked! As you can see, I have spent a lot of time and money on UD recently! I am obsessed! I have not had any issues with fallout, they have amazing color payoff, and an extremely great wear time. Although I still have a variety of other brands (Makeup Junkie!!), I don't think I will be spending my money with them anymore (at least not for shadows!), especially if UD has a dupe or comparable color. Thanks UD and I look forward to collecting more and more!
Of ALL of the palettes I own, this is the absolute best! The colors are gorgeous and vibrant. I also like that UD included neutral tones that would compliment the bright and bold ones. I love every color in this palette, but I must say that I am partial to Fishnet, Ransom, Graffiti, and Peace because I love colors in the purple and green spectrum. This is an excellent value. You get 9 excellent eye shadows and a travel sized primer! What more could you ask for?

This one's a keeper!
I live in the UK and Urban Decay is so hard to get hold of here (boohoo!). My dad got me this when he went to the US two years ago. Even though I didn't know about the brand back then, I was mindblown by the quality of this palette! The shadows are so pigmented, glide on smoothly and the colours are beautiful! I've done some great neutral yet eye-catching looks with the bottom row. Scratch is my favourite colour from this palette because I just throw it on in the morning, put on some eyeliner and it makes a great everyday look perfect for college. I get so many compliments just from that! I am also in LOVE with, Peace, Fishnet and Graffiti, these colours are so much fun! Peace is such a gorgeous, highly pigmented electric blue, I've worn it so many times and it looks great- you can play it up or tone it down depending on what you like. I love that there's a black colour in this palette, it just completes it.
Overall, I can't imagine not having the Deluxe shadow box, I've had it for a couple of years now and I still use it all the time. It came with a travel-sized Primer Potion and the foam applicators were actually of good quality, not like the flimsy ones you get with other brands. The outside of the palette is so pretty, I love the purple and silver combination.
I would definitely recommend this palette for the pigmentation of the shadows, the colour selection and versatility, and for the fact that the shadows actually last a really long time even with constant use (you just don't need that much because of the awesome colour payoff). Well done UD!

Why I fell in love with UD in the first place.
This may sound odd or forced, but in all honesty this palette has a sentimental place in my heart. I didn't get into makeup until I was in my early 20s and was incredibly shy about using it, especially eyeshadow. I remember going into Ulta several times, getting overwhelmed and leaving, only to come back again to search. I definitely recall Urban Decay standing out to me the most. I loved their unique flair and bright colors. The Deluxe Palette I was drawn to a lot because of the amazingly bright colors and "odd" combinations. I also noticed that the individual colors that came in the palette too were more expensive if purchased separately, so this seemed like a good deal. After about the third or fourth time admiring this palette and swatching it, I caved and bought it. Very glad I did! I took it home, ripped it open and started swiping it all over the place. I was a mess but in love with the shadows. I was amazed by the quality of them off the bat. They were soft, smooth, bright and pretty. I even bought one for my sister for Christmas that year (she was also starting to get into makeup) and she loved it too.
I got better at using this palette with practice and nearly hit pan on my original not too long ago. That's how much I love it! Seeing it on sale for so low (at the time $19, but still a steal) I just had to get a new one in case UD decided to discontinue. I can't say enough how great and vibrant the colors are. I have a feeling UD is going to discontinue this one, which in truth makes me sad even though I understand. I mean, sure, it doesn't have the newer formula (which is amazing) and they're older colors, but I think older to even brand new UD fans would agree that this is still a good to great palette. It definitely made me a UD fan for life! I think it's worth picking up, especially at only $16. Old definitely doesn't equate to bad. I don't think you'd regret adding this one to your collection.
