Best so far While this product isn't perfect, it is definitely the leader for me in anything I've used to control oil. It DOES work. Apparently there are three main ways to use this: - On bare skin, no makeup - As a primer (between moisturizer and makeup) - On top of makeup (either at the start of the day or throughout) I can't comment on the first one, as I have not tried it on a bare face, but I can on the second two. As a primer, I did not necessarily feel it worked for me. I still had oil issues and ended up having to wear it on top anyway. I went back to using a makeup primer instead, and using this as a finisher. Saves you some product anyway :) Which leads me to the last way, which is to wear it on top the makeup. I apply it once in the mornings over my makeup (I wear a mineral foundation, very light, and beneath that I use both a moisturizer and a makeup primer). I find almost instantly it "sets" my makeup, and then the amount of oiliness I experience throughout the day is far less. I still sometimes need to blot, and will reapply this once in the afternoon, but it is much better than my old routine of having to reapply my powders 4-5 times per day...which as we all know doesn't actually control the oil anyway :P The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars: It's pretty good at oil control but I wouldn't say its perfect yet. I've seen other reviewers say it works better paired with the spray, but given the cost of this one, pairing them together is pretty much cost prohibitive....which is the second reason I didn't give it 5 stars. I tend to spend a lot of money on cosmetics, but this in particular seemed pretty expensive to me. In sum though, if you are looking for something to control oil, there is no magic wand- but this is close, and I DO recommend it. March 5, 2012
Sold!!!!! I think I'm in love. Okay so my forehead is oily, no very oily. Whenever I put makeup on in an hour I look like an oil slick. Forget those blotting wipes, I could use up a pack so quick probably. So I began a search to help end this problem. I read all the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. I am completely sold! 5 hours after my makeup has been on when I go out my face still looks like I just applied it & my forehead just looks a little dewie....no where near the shiny slickness of before. Around 8 hours I would say I start to look oily, but that's a heck of an improvement! I want to try this product with the spray and see how they work together. I have also just used it on its own. In everyday I don't wear make up, just eyeliner and mascara but adding this keeps me from washing my forehead multiple times throughout the day. Thanks UD, love it! September 19, 2012

I Don't Leave Home Without It This product only ever leaves my purse when it's being taken out to apply it to my face! I have a very oily forehead and chin, and looking shiny drives me nuts. Finding this product changed my life. If I start feeling a little "slick," I put it over whatever foundation I'm already using. Amazing on two counts!! So not only do I have an oily t-zone, but I have a hard to match skin tone as well. This powder takes care of both those issues while giving a really nice finish which lasts! I'm totally in love with it, have no plans to look any further for another powder. Say good bye to BP oil slicks! This product had been recommended to me, but the gel seemed to heavy for me. I tried this power and I'm so upset for not trying it sooner! In New York, the humidity is SO high, and it gets even worse in the subway. I have to make a lot of trips on the train for work, so by the end of the day, my face feels worse then crisco. I use this to set my foundation :-) My T-zone gets very shiny through out the day, and this powder keeps me looking fresh and matte all day long! It is a very light lavender color in the compact, but once you apply it to your face it becomes a translucent powder. What I love the most about this product, is I don't need to cake it on. A very light coat is all it takes, so I'm sure this will be lasting me me a while. The compact itself is so cute and convenient. I keep it in my purse in case I need to touch up through the day. My secret weapon From someone who personally gets that oh so unattractive oily skin, BUY THIS..... I hate when I do my makeup so amazing and then a couple hours later I have oil spots.... It makes me self conscious, but this is my secret weapon. It's translucent so it doesn't make your makeup look chalky or weight and it's extremely light. Broke too easily I keep this in a clutch, inside my purse, so it really doesn't get much agitation from a dropped purse, etc. This being said the powder has started to crack. It has not fallen out completely so it is still usable, but I'm just upset that it's almost inevitable. Quality of the actual purpose of the product is good though. It does mattify my face temporarily, however about an hour later it will be back to oily. It is a good temporary fix, just watch if you are traveling with it (which I assume is the purpose of this product) January 31, 2012
Worth every penny ! Usually i get super oily after an hour and i tested it out yesterday and my makeup looked fresh like i just put it on. I was out at 9am til 9pm. very happy!!! Wow! So, I decided to try this product after I read the other reviews. I have oily skin & using The Naked foundation, my foundation seemed to end up everywhere!! I was getting tired of seeing my make up on my phone, on my fingertips, & anything that I touched! Ordered this product & tried it on!! I have to say, as soon as I put it on, I could tell! I still shined a little but maybe I needed to add a bit more. My makeup lasted all day & it didn't seem to end up all over my phone today!! So far, I'm liking this product!! March 6, 2013
De-Slick Powder This worked very well as a quick fix throughout my school day for my oily skin. The sponge that comes with it is very soft, and pops right out for fast use. However, within a week mine broke to pieces. I tried to continue using it, but eventually found it a lost cause and had to toss $32 bucks in the trash. November 6, 2011
Works great! This mattifying powder is wonderful! It's so fast to use, too! The only con is it takes off some of my make up during application, and the little puff/sponge applicator thing it comes with needs to be replaced before the powder runs out, and replacement applicators don't work very well with this. I love this stuff! I used to use The All Nighter Spray, but I found that it tended to turn my face into an oil slick, so this time I opted for a setting powder. I'm so glad I went with this. I've tried on a lot of other white mattifying powders and they don't quite live up to their name. What bugs me most is when they include shimmer. I like my makeup to be dry and set, and I like to feel clean. When I use this powder over my makeup, I don't get oily even after I sweat from dancing all night! This is definitely my HG! No more shiny face! I have always had a problem with my face getting really oily and shiny and I could not find anything to stop it. Then, a friend told me about this product and I just had to go out and buy it immediately. And let me tell you, it is a life saver! This is the best product ever invented. All I do is use the puff applicator or a brush and apply it on top of my foundation and no more shiny face. And its perfect for on the go. If i feel a little oil coming on, I just pull it out, dab it on and problem solved. Plus, it is perfect for setting your foundation. This product is worth the money and is something that I can never live without. I never have to worry about being self conscious about my oily face again. And even on days when I do not wear any makeup, I can use this and it gives me that nice matte look. It is transparent so you cannot see it and it does not make your face look powdery. Perfect finish oil control! I'm 38, live in a humid area, and I have always had oily skin. I feel like I've tried every oil control powder there is! This one is the best. I love that it is colorless because I don't get that build up of makeup when I reapply during the day. I use it in conjunction with De Slick oil control spray and they work flawlessly together! keeps me matte all day I have major problems with my oily skin, Its ALWAYS oily. I wash it cleanse it and then put on my makeup. No matter how hard i tried i would always end up getting the dreaded cake-face look at the end of the day. A friend recommended to me this product and i absolutely loved it. Amazing! This is my first rice powder type product. I am very happy with the results. I just ordered the book of shadows after buying the tinted moisturizer in the stores. I am waiting for the shadows to be delivered so I figured I would pick up this product so that my face does not get oily and distracts from my eye make up. I tried it today while just doing household chores before the holiday. I found that without makeup the product worked amazing. Usually along the T-zone and in the crease of my chin gets most oily. This product helped to keep my face dry. I would suggest to try the product first without make up to see how much you need to apply. If you do too much it comes across as being a white spot on your face, but you only really need a little :) I can't wait to build the rest of my collection! December 22, 2011
OMG! My skin's not oily! I have debated with myself whether to get De-slick Mattifying powder or the De-slick in a Tube and end up getting both. This product works wonder when combined with the De-slick in a tube. I can safely say that I won't need to powder up for at least 5 hours. And when I do, I just need to pat on the oily parts of my face, usually the T-zone. I also love the packaging. So girly yet so mysterious. My only rant is that it's a bit pricey. I wanted to like it, but not for me. I got this product b/c I have super oily skin and everything i tried from UD (de-slick setting spray, eye primers, 24/7 eyeliners and lip liners, and eye shadows) and loved every item. When i tried this product over my Naked foundation, it put a white film over my face. I tried on bare skin, still had a white film. I used the powder puff that came in the compact and patted on my face and wiped it on my face. I also used the a powder brush. I wanted to love it, but it didn't work for me. March 12, 2013

Powder? What Powder??? I have used other "transluscent" powders....and found that there was some type of shade involved whereas transluscent usually means "clear", i.e., no shade....also it clearly looked like I had just used powder on my face. While I want to be shine-free, I do not want to look like I poofed myself with powder. But this De-Slick...is very slick as it does not have any shade whatsoever.....and you can't tell I used anything. The oil is gone....and all you can see is face....Beautiful!!! March 5, 2013

Holy grail product! I get really oily throughout the day and need to powder often. Iv used tons of colored powders only to find they cake around my nose and on my cheeks. This is so different! I can apply it as much as I want and it never cakes. There's no white cast, my friends with olive and colored skin have borrowed it with no problem. I don't think I'll ever carry another powder, I never get oily if I touch up with this about once a day, twice at most if it's hot outside :) February 1, 2012
Permanent Resident in My Purse I have tried a LOT of powder compacts, and De-Slick beats them all, hands down. When you have a little bit of shine you only need to use a tiny amount of this powder so you never get that powder build up, cakey look. I can use this over makeup or on bare skin and the effect lasts for hours. I have had this for almost a year and I've barely put a dent in it, so you get your money's worth. No more shine! Okay so, I have an EXTREMELY oily face. I always have and probably always will (hopefully not). I have tried almost everything to get rid of oil for just a few more hours and such. Then I read about this and had to try it. I must say it does help my oil. But after like five or so hours my face starts getting oily again. I can apply it as much as I want and it never cakes. There's no white cast, my friends with olive and colored skin have borrowed it with no problem. I don't think I'll ever carry another powder, I never get oily if I touch up with this about once a day, twice at most if it's hot outside :) February 1, 2012
Permanent Resident in My Purse I have tried a LOT of powder compacts, and De-Slick beats them all, hands down. When you have a little bit of shine you only need to use a tiny amount of this powder so you never get that powder build up, cakey look. I can use this over makeup or on bare skin and the effect lasts for hours. I have had this for almost a year and I've barely put a dent in it, so you get your money's worth. No more shine! Okay so, I have an EXTREMELY oily face. I always have and probably always will (hopefully not). I have tried almost everything to get rid of oil for just a few more hours and such. Then I read about this and had to try it. I must say it does help my oil. But after like five or so hours my face starts getting oily again. My cousin uses this and it helps her more than it does for me. I've been using it for about six months and I don't plan on stopping! January 31, 2012
