March 5, 2013Ease of use, great texture and coverage I love this product for my face, it feels so light and your skin looks so polished without looking made up. A few years ago when this came out, I got Mirage and it was always dark and I didn't think to try a lighter shade because I saw the shades in the pan and didn't bother trying the lighter shade. Well now I recently tried Hallucination for my nc42/43 skin and its perfect! Its so easy to use, I just use the sephora airbrush foundation brush and just blend. What I love the most is that my skin doesn't look or feel suffocated after layering this product like it does with liquid or stick makeup. Only thing I think is a con is the amount of product you get, this is a great foundation for daily use and as such, it runs out rather quickly. I hope they never discontinue this product - its such a market differentiator because there are not a lot of cream 2 powder foundations and that's what makes it unique! April 9, 2012Like except for brush I have had this product for a little over a month now. I do not use it 7 days a week as I don't wear make up everyday. I really like the product and bought it because of the brush that came with it to smooth in the foundation on my face. Unfortunately, the brush cracked and now is losing parts of the hair on the brush. I am disappointed the brush did not hold up well. February 28, 2012Best foundation on the planet First off, I would just like to say that the packaging is beautiful and of high quality. It is a thick purple plastic compact with a mirror and brush applicator for on the go. This product is fantastic. I have very sensitive skin, and EVERY other foundation has made me break out (I have tried: BareMinerals, Benefit, MAC, Clinique, Mary Kay, you name it). This foundation has not made me break out once, and I have been using it for two years now. I use the shade, "Dream", and I have a fairly normal, semi-reddish complexion. It goes on smoothly and my skin looks flawless (I have had random people ask what foundation I use). It lasts all day. I usually use a stippling brush for even (and not too thick) application. I would recommend this to anyone. MY ONLY complaint is that it only lasts around four months, and for the price, that isn't very long. It is just such a great product that I find I don't care how long it lasts :) November 14, 2012PERFECT PRODUCT, MINUS THE PACKAGING AND AMOUNT I absolutely love this product. THIS is my Holy Grail foundation. I have tried NARS, MAC, CLINIQUE, TARTE, even the new NAKED SKIN. This product is my perfect match. No matter what I try, I always come back to this and I compare everything else to this. I hope they never stop making it. The ONLY drawback is that price and amount of product. I don't use TOO much when I apply, but even then, one compact only lasts me a month. The product is worth every penny, but what keeps me from repurchasing it on a regular basis is the price. It became too expensive to repurchase every month, so I am really glad the new NAKED SKIN foundation came out. Of course, it's not as convenient as a compact, but it is a close 2nd. I only buy this product now when there is a sale, and that is a shame, because I wish for the regular price, the packaging was less bulky and or it contained more product. Other than that, this is the PERFECT foundation. October 10, 2012a HUGE disappointment, but in UD's defense... i should have known better. ANYtime one of their products says it minimizes the appearance of pores, i should run the other way. i took a chance with Dream and was sorely disappointed. the color was almost an exact match (i tan twice a week, but never my face, so Dream was several shades darker than my face, but just about the right color to blend in with my neck), and it glided on satin smooth. the coverage was AWESOME - it covered up every bit of my pesky pink undertones, even better than the Naked foundation, and lasted all day; it even held fast to my oily skin. but, it literally magnified my pores. usually i have to be right up on a mirror with my nose touching it to see the pores around my T-zone, but with this stuff on i could see them from a good five feet away. so, if you're one of those lucky girls whose pores are invisible to begin with, this product will be amazing. for those other girls like me, well...not so much. It has great coverage, and it was very easy to find the perfect shade for my fair skin. I'd definitely recommend, the only down side I can think of is the brush it comes with is leaves stroke marks (it's so cute though!). A regular make-up sponge works best, I find. The design on it is so cool! February 16, 2012Great for oily skin This was the first foundation product I’ve tried that wasn’t 100 percent powder and I’m pleased with it. It’s great for oily skin because it stays on your skin throughout the night no matter what kind of mood your skin is in. I love that it doesn’t run and if you use UD’s all nighter spray, this will stay in place for hours and hours. I will say that the Surreal Skin is not for you if you have dry skin because it will amplify all the dry areas of your face. Here are some tips I’ve found from using it: -If your skin is only a little bit dry, use a good moisturizer. -Also, it can be easy to go overboard, leading you into pancake face territory. Be sure to blend well and go beyond your jawline to prevent this. -Add bronzer and blush on top to give a more glowing and fresh look (it works well with the cheek tint!), but be sure to wait a few minutes before putting anything on top of Surreal Skin. -Great for small cover up jobs (post-acne dark spots, scars, etc). The smooth and creaminess of this product makes you look flawless. It covers every little unwanted detail without over doing it. It has a very raw and natural finish and easily applied. However, I don't recommend using the applicant brush provided, use a sponge instesad for a more even application. I didn't want to give up on it so I put a moisturizing primer underneath and presto it looks amazing on gives a medium coverage and has a nice finish. I applied with my fingers instead of the brush, and got great smooth, even coverage, and even though it was full, it didn't feel heavy or pore-clogging.
