I currently don't own much of the stardust eyeshadow,but I recently bought some in the shade Atmosphere. Which I own a HUGE variety of makeup from many different brands,but I would have to say this is one of my favorite blues that I have EVER used! It goes on so smooth and is ultra bright. Plus one of my all time favorite things is glitter and anything that sparkles and shines and this stuff is extremely sparkly! I absolutely LOVE this eyeshadow and would recommend it to anyone. I definitely plan on buying more of the stardust collection in the near future. Definitely too sparkly for every day use, but perfect for a special occasion. "Sophisticated" glitter is definitely the best way to describe how fine the sparkles are. It is true that application with your fingers seems to be the best way to get an even coverage, and makes it the most blendable. I've gotten the gray, white, and brown colors, and while the color payoff isn't huge, I like the dusky look I get from the brown and gray, and the pixie effect of the white! No matter how careful you apply, or do make-up techniques to avoid fall out glitter, you still get glitter all over your face. Not cute at all, unless you don't mind looking like a tween. The color instantly caught my eye and I decided, why not, and purchased it. This was a long time ago and I had no idea who or what Urban Decay was, I thought it was some cheap drug store brand. Not until recently have i figured out what this place is and I have to say, thanks to this fantastic shadow, I am HOOKED. I'm already waiting for 4 palettes in the mail! ah! As a lover of shimmery and sparkly eye shadows, this has to be my all-time favorite. I purchased bobby dazzle and use it as my highlighter. I will probably be stocking up on a couple of other shades now that they are being discontinued. I love that I don't have glitter all over my face, although at the end of the day I do have some shimmer below my eyes and across my cheekbones - most likely due to the fact that I'm always in a rush in the mornings and skip the primer. I wish they were just a little more pigmented like their regular shadows however the bits of micro glitter also don't irritate my eyes as the shadows with bigger glitter bits do. I mostly use these shadows on top of other shadows instead of just wearing them on their own to add sparkle and make up for less pigment. March 6, 2013LOTS OF GLITTER!! I was doubtful about purchasing this product at first because of the price, but I am SO glad that I did. I wanted plain glitter to layer over my eyeshadow to create sparkly glam looks for parties or formal events. This product far surpasses cheap chunky glitter. It is a shadow that contains fine glitter that does not fail. I bought the Moon Spoon silver color, and it's very light which is good for layering, but I can make it darker looking too if I want. I don't own the primer potion, but I put this over the MAC paint pot I own and it basically sticks. There's some glitter fallout at first, but most stays on for a few hours and then falls out. I know I will receive numerous compliments and look forward to wearing it out with my friends! My only criticism is the price for one- UD should make a palette of these please!!! These are very pretty sparkly shadows. the color themselves are a bit sheer, but if applied wet they go on opaque. I have it in space cowboy and absolutely adore it. It goes on evenly and stays all day. If I want a lighter sparkle for day wear, then I put it on straight. If I want it to look a little heavier, then I add a layer of eyeshadow primer before applying it. Both stay all day and the glitter doesn't travel on my face. The base of space cowboy is light and really compliments my brown eyes. It's a great touch to any outfit! February 14, 2012Love the Glitter, Need More Color.... I have this in Retrograde, and while I love the color in the pan, I just want it to transfer to my eyes like that a little easier. To me, it was a very pale wash with tons of glitter. I'm not objectionable to glitter, but I was hoping to get that beautiful purple I saw. I haven't tried using it wet, just with a dry brush, so maybe that's a secret to it? However, it is amazing to just add sparkle over another darker shadow of the same shade. September 1, 2011love I love this shadow! I have it in Bobby Dazzle and covered my entire lid, lash to brow before applying a few other colors. The sparkle shined through the three other colors I placed on top and lasted from my application in the morning until I washed it off at bedtime. It still looked like I had just applied. I also use shadow primer underneath. I did have the tiniest bit of sparkle that fell onto my cheeks, but I liked the way it looked. March 8, 2013Eyelids sparkle, cheeks do not! I was almost certain that this product would have massive fallout from the glitter. To my surprise, it stayed in place remarkably well. I saw maybe one tiny sparkle out of place, versus the near-handfull I would get from other brands. The colors are vibrant; what you see in the pan is what you get on your eyelid. I wish there were many more colors available. This eyeshadow is perfect for anyone who loves to be noticed. Layering cream shadows underneath it works fantastic and you can use different color combos when you use it that way too, it's like having approx 20 shadows in 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great quality, very long lasting. Super easy to use, blends with other colors easily. Very fine glitter, not chunky, hence the name, starDUST. Loves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! February 16, 2012So sparkly, you can't look away When I first swatched a bit on my hand, the sparkliness was so hypnotizing. The microglitter made my hand look like it belonged on Edward from Twilight. The glitter isn't overpowering but it is very noticeable. There is a bit of fallout in the beginning but it doesn't happen past the first half hour. These are so great for those special occasions where you bust out all your fancy makeup and totally rock your look. I had to practically dig into the eyeshadow to get any color off on my brush. When i actually put it on, the color hardly showed up which is saying something since i'm about as pale as they come. It may just be that i should have picked a different color though, because urban decay products usually work amazingly for me. March 5, 2013Sparkles All Over This has to be the hardest eye shadow to use. When you pick it up it is chunky. The sparkles get all over the place and it is hard to clean off your eyes.
