Good but.. Well to start, when I first tried this in the Urban Bride set, i opened it up and although it said it was in the closed position, it immediately puffed out quite a bit of powder in my face, and it smells pretty bad.. haha The applicator seems a bit unsanitary, I have acne-prone skin and the last this I need is ADDED bacteria to my face, but I actually like how it applies with the sponge. It's really convenient and quick but I can't get over how unsanitary it seems. It does make my skin look pretty good after foundation though. it's a great finishing powder. I would buy the full-sized product if the sponge were removable, and I could just have it there when I'm on the go. All-in-all- It's a great powder, makes my skin look great, I can ignore the smell, but the applicator is an unsanitary turn-off. January 31, 2012
Great for quick touch ups! Just push the spong against your skin so powder comes out and buff away! It is so much easier than using a brush and much less messy! Helps control shine and gives an airbrush effect. March 1, 2012

Ok powder I like the design of this powder since it keeps the mess to a minmum. As far as it's performance it's only OK. After I've been wearing it for a while it seems to settle into lines I don't have when I'm going sans-makeup. This can be fixed by smuding away the excess with a sponge during touch ups. Instead of this product I usually reach for my regular old pressed powder when I'm getting ready because it doesn't give me the same problem. Still not a bad powder overall. January 31, 2012
Not for everyone Although this has received some great reviews, I did not have a good experience. I don't like lots of powder in general, so that may have impacted my opinion of it. However, I found it impossible to apply without looking cakey. It appeared as though I had dust on my face - even when applying just a small amount - and it rubbed/fell off onto everything. Even if I didn't notice the poor application at first, I could always see the powder in good light. February 1, 2012
Good product, bad packaging I absolutely LOVE this product, but the packaging kinda of sucks. The sponge just kinda sucks up most of the product, so i ripped it out and just use a big fluffy face brush to apply. You don't need a lot of this for it to work, and it makes you look flawless! Since I ripped the sponge out, I can't take it in my makeup bag because the product will end up in the cap, but it's worth it! UD just needs to fix the packaging and this will be perfect! I'm impressed by this powder! So I got this in the Urban Bride kit, and I didn't really plan on using it, because powders usually make my face look kind of weird...like they never quite sit well. But I went ahead and tried it anyway, and I am SO GLAD that I did! I put this on over my foundation and right away my face felt incredibly soft. I was slightly confused about how to make the product come out, but after turning it to "open" and hitting it against the side of my hand a few times, the powder started to come through the puff. So I patted it onto my face and then took a brush to gently brush it out evenly. Like I said, my face felt very soft and I was really impressed. It didn't give me a chalky or powdery feeling at all. So I put this on before work at about 8 a.m. and all day I kept checking my face in the mirror and it looked perfect all day! The powder didn't crease up (even from laughing, smiling, and raising my eyebrows), my skin didn't look shiny at all (and I do have really oily skin), and my face stayed soft! Even when I touched my face, I didn't get any kind of gross residue on my fingers, like the kind of residue from oils coming through my skin or whatever. I got off of work at 4 p.m and my face still looked great. I didn't need any touch-ups or anything throughout the whole work day! I definitely plan on buying a full-size of this when my little size runs out. I love this powder! February 1, 2012
Awesome powder; makes my skin glow like an angel. Why are people complaining about the sponge applicator? Its efficient and quick to use! I love it... I have fair skin and i have darkness under my eyes which bugs me so anyways I apply my concealer (under my eyes)first then top it off with this finishing powder and makes me glow like an angel/doll... I notice the difference right away. I recommend this to anyone who hass unnecessary darkness and wants a nice angel like glow to them ;) February 1, 2012
It's good, but.. I love a lot of UD products, so when I say one is "good", I mean it. This powder is just that, good, but that's about it. The powder is very fine so it goes on without looking cakey and it has a great smell to it when applying. After a while though the applicator tends to get a little gross and the product gets hard to use. You can take the top off and use your own brush if you want, which personally I think that's the way to go. March 6, 2013
NO SHINE!!! Love love love this powder. Normal powders, even some of my high end ones, eventually let shine leak through. But, with one application of the Razor Sharp powder, I'm shine free for at least 8 hours!!! No need of reapplication. I don't like the powder puff on top. I have a difficult time getting the powder out that way unless I smack it on my cheek. So, I removed the powder puff and use my kabuki brush to apply. So much easier. March 5, 2013
Hate the application This would have gotten all 5 stars from me if it weren't for the package design. Blot it on with the sponge thing attached to the container?? Or if you open it and try to apply with a brush, you run the risk of spilling it or you waste so much from trying to tap excess off the brush. It is a great powder. WONDERFUL This product creates a nice, flawless looking complexion. I like it and it’s become a daily use for me. Makes me look perfectly flawless and picture ready 24/7. It's silky and lightweight. This powder is what I've come to expect from "high definition" powders. It takes the edge off the shine of my moisturizer and leaves my skin feeling silky. ARE YOU KIDDING ME . . . plain FABULOUS!! I didn't have much hope when I purchased this finishing powder because my face is so horribly scarred & has been totally broken out (seriously aggravated with deeply penetrating, painful blemishes) for two years now, but the mineral powder I have been using felt too thick & heavy - also, after a few hours of wear, it always felt like it was "cracking". When I opened the "Razor Sharp" finishing powder yesterday I wasn't sure how to use the sponge applicator so, seeing as I was in such a hurry, I screwed off the lid & intended to use my "Flawless Finish" powder makeup brush to apply. Once the lid was off, I was astounded to see that the powder was so fine that when the container was jiggled a bit, the powder actually looked liquid. When I applied it with my makeup brush I couldn't believe my eyes!!! Not only did the powder feel remarkable on my skin (maybe because of its micro-fine texture), it gave me such a radiant glow (no sparkle) I felt like my skin was lit from within. My unreal success with this powder could be because I used my regular full-coverage mineral makeup (which combined with my old "Mineral Veil" finishing powder felt sooo cakey & thick & never looked as good as the "Razor Sharp" results) underneath the "Razor Sharp". Whatever the reason, I am 'over the moon' happy with this product!! Seriously, after I first put it on, I blinked a couple of times & had to move closer to the mirror because I thought I wasn't seeing correctly. It is simply a phenomenal powder!! September 28, 2012
Powdery, Bad Packaging I got this product in the Travel Size in the Wedding Kit. It took me forever to figure out how to get the product out. Then when I finally got that figured out the thing wouldn't stay closed. The Product itself was really powdery feeling. I would not recommend this product to anyone. November 6, 2011
Best I have used! I was using a different finishing powder and decided to change. It is silky smooth and the powder is soo fine that u can see it swirl in the air. It truly gives you a air brush finish. I will use it even if i don't have any make up on or on other parts like my neck or chest. The only con i have is the applicator. I like to used my brush directly with the powder. but again its about the product and it dose its job! ;) February 29, 2012
Pretty good I received this in the urban bride kit. I, like many others kinda hated the packaging and tore the little sponge thing off. I use my kabuki brush to apply the powder. This works just fine for me although it can be pretty messy if the container tips over, obviously. The powder itself though is wonderful! It makes my face super smooth looking. My new best friend How did I survive before I found Razr Sharp? I used to be oily 2 hours after I put my makeup on, and now it will last over 12 when I use this amazing powder. It goes on so easily (with a brush, not the applicator) and gives a beautiful soft effect to your skin without adding any heaviness. My only (small) gripe is that if you have very dry skin, this powder will make it show up more than you might like. March 5, 2013
Recommend, but switch the packaging container I love UD, I have only recently discovered the brand, as they are hard to find in Ireland. Love everything I have bought from UD. Razorsharp Powder came with the gift set. When I finally run out of my previous mineral powder, I decided to give it try. I hated the sponge applicator straight away. But I loved overall design and little mirror on top. To my surprise, I couldn't even start using the sponge, somehow the powder was not coming through. I went to check this website on any tips about this product, and read that people suggested switching the container. Luckily, I never threw away the container from my previous powder from Avon. Now I use Razor Sharp with kabuki brush and it is an excellent product. I don't use any other type of foundation, only powder, and I am very satisfied this this one. But the packaging unfortunately was useless, which is a shame, I love UD eloquent designs. September 30, 2011
The powder is world class but the packing needs some training I have to say that the product works like magic. But like magic in a bad lamp that continues to spill it every there in your purse! To begin with; It should come with good instructions how to open the thing without spilling everything on the floor. You shall not take the top off (that was the first thing that happened to me when I twisted to “open” the first time) as with a normal mineral pot. What you shall do is to just twist it to open (carefully!) and then just pad the powder over your face with the attached puff. To me it was not very clear on how I should open the pot so I had to use Google to find a blogger that explained how you shall open it in a good way. I don’t really like the open and pad style because the pot is very random with how much your get out of it. Sometimes I end up shaking for over a minute for some powder other times it just explodes the moment I open the puff cover. And I have to use a napkin to clean the box up after using and putting the top back. But I’m still afraid that come of the powder will sneak out and cover all of my things in my purse if I don’t keep it concealed in a plastic makeup bag (plastic because it is easier to clean out the stray power which always seems to spill out how good I clean of the pot after use). I also noticed that I need a mirror to apply it since the powder sometimes sticks to my rather dark eyebrows. But good one thing I have to say about the packing, it is kind off good to have everything collected in one thing. But I rather use my old mineral power brush to apply the powder than having powder all over my clothes as I often get when I open the puff cover. But regardless how much I find the packing annoying I do love the product and I will keep on buying it. I hope my next pot lasts longer because the entire spill everywhere thing it didn’t last longer than 1½ month. But UD really should come with a paper instruction with clear guide rules on what to do and not to do. Then beginners with the box won’t be so angry the first time they try to open it! March 7, 2012
Love it! This powder is the perfect finishing tool. It makes pores less visible and gives a great matte finish which I prefer. The only thing I don't like about it is the container. I prefer using my own brush... this seems hard to clean. I also prefer using a brush over a sponge. I use this when I have a bit more time to spend on my makeup, whereas when I'm in a hurry I use MUFE HD Powder. March 6, 2013
LOVE this translucent finishing powder. I am in LOVE with this powder. For the first half of makeup regimen I put on in this order: face primer, foundation, undereye concealer, eye shadow primer, blush, eyeshadow and then this powder. It makes your complexion appear soft and really ties everything together nicely. I really like the applicator sponge although a simple instruction card/illustration would be beneficial. Really does its job! I haven't quite incorporated the finishing powder into my every day makeup routine, but for those Nights Out, this product is a must. A few pats with the applicator on the face and blended in with a finishing brush and you're ready and set to go! It really helps to matt-ify the make-up and leave your skin looking radiant. The product is excellent but the packaging is in need of a little revamping. I think it would be easier to separate the puff from the product. When I received the product in the mail I opened it up and just about tore the puff off without knowing it was attached. Since I've found the best method of application is to follow up with a different brush, I think the product has the possibility to just contain the product, and have the puff be more of a separate accessory. Overall, this is still a GREAT purchase and once again, Urban Decay lives up to its reputation of producing really amazing products. August 11, 2011
best finishing powder i've ever used! i'll wear this over moisturizer and skip the foundation it's that great! i personally HATE the sponge that is on there so i'll use a brush, but minus the brush this is one awesome product, just wish the container was more brush friendly (maybe version 2??) other than that it does exactly what it claims to, it's silky, goes on smooth and leaves you looking flawless! But regardless how much I find the packing annoying I do love the product and I will keep on buying it. I hope my next pot lasts longer because the entire spill everywhere thing it didn’t last longer than 1½ month. Love it! This powder is the perfect finishing tool. It makes pores less visible and gives a great matte finish which I prefer. The only thing I don't like about it is the container. I prefer using my own brush... this seems hard to clean. I also prefer using a brush over a sponge. I use this when I have a bit more time to spend on my makeup, whereas when I'm in a hurry I use MUFE HD Powder. March 6, 2013
LOVE this translucent finishing powder. I am in LOVE with this powder. For the first half of makeup regimen I put on in this order: face primer, foundation, undereye concealer, eye shadow primer, blush, eyeshadow and then this powder. It makes your complexion appear soft and really ties everything together nicely. I really like the applicator sponge although a simple instruction card/illustration would be beneficial. Really does its job! I haven't quite incorporated the finishing powder into my every day makeup routine, but for those Nights Out, this product is a must. A few pats with the applicator on the face and blended in with a finishing brush and you're ready and set to go! It really helps to matt-ify the make-up and leave your skin looking radiant. The product is excellent but the packaging is in need of a little revamping. I think it would be easier to separate the puff from the product. When I received the product in the mail I opened it up and just about tore the puff off without knowing it was attached. Since I've found the best method of application is to follow up with a different brush, I think the product has the possibility to just contain the product, and have the puff be more of a separate accessory. Overall, this is still a GREAT purchase and once again, Urban Decay lives up to its reputation of producing really amazing products. August 11, 2011
best finishing powder i've ever used! i'll wear this over moisturizer and skip the foundation it's that great! i personally HATE the sponge that is on there so i'll use a brush, but minus the brush this is one awesome product, just wish the container was more brush friendly (maybe version 2??) other than that it does exactly what it claims to, it's silky, goes on smooth and leaves you looking flawless!
