Lives up to the claims
I've tried a lot of products that claimed to be mattifying and trust me when I say that De-Slick is a makeup bag must have for anyone with oily skin. I go to a lot of concerts, and in the summer I go to a lot of out-door events, and this is the only product I've tired that actually keeps me matte for a long time. Now, it doesn't quite last all day (especially during really hot days) but even so, I usually only have to touch up once or twice (at most) later on in the day. That definitely makes it worth it to me, as just about everything else leaves me constantly blotting and touching up my T-zone all day. This also helps keep sweat at bay, which is a huge plus during the sweltering days of summer.
This might seem a little pricey, but a little goes a long way so you'll definitely get your money's worth. Also, too much product will cause caking, so even if you're super oily you won't need a lot. The only issue I have with this is that it tends to set fast, so you have to blend it out quickly or else it will start caking up. It's not that big of a deal, but it's worth noting.

Works really well
I really like this product. It keeps my skin from getting as oily than it usually would. Even days I don't wear makeup this just keeps my face from being shiny. Doesn't take much product to get the job done!

Good product....it does what it says!
This is a great product, I put this on after my face moisturizer and it looks like I put some sort of powder on my face. My only issue is that it doesn't last all day....I guess that's what reapplication is for. I would recommend this product and I would def. be buying another bottle...maybe more if it goes on sale :-D

Maybe with a different foundation
I absolutely loved the de-slick spray. Used it every single day, until the last drop. Went to stock up, and a clerk at the store suggested I try the one in a tube. As far as de-mattifying, it works great- my face is extremely oily and this keeps it from looking shiny. However, my foundation does not get along with this product. I have tried letting it dry, then applying my foundation. When I do this, my foundation doesn't blend right and leaves lines all over my face because it doesn't blend. I've tried mixing it with my foundation, and it still doesn't blend properly. It also makes it look heavier- none of which I experienced with the spray deslick. Maybe it would work better with a powder? Or maybe I need to switch to UD BB cream.

Did nothing for my oily skin
Maybe my skin more oily than the people that use this product because I've read so many rave reviews on UD's De-slick...but it didn't help me at all. Even after I reapplied onto oily spots. It didn't matte my face or get rid of oil. If anything it made it worse because I was just packing more product on top of the oil. I'm sure it works great for people with normally oily skin, but for the price, it just wasn't worth the ineffectiveness to my skin. Glad it's done wonders for other people though!

Keeps Me Dry and Looking Fly
This stuff really works. I have oily skin, but thanks to De-Slick in a Tube, you'd never know it! The mattifying effects are so intense that I am even able to wear it with a tinted moisturizer, on days that I am wanting less coverage--something that I couldn't previously do without looking greasy or losing half of it by the end of the day. I don't know how I ever lived without it!

Little Goes A Long Way!!
I absolutely love this! I use it for my nose and t-zone and it really mattifies the area and keeps it that way for at least eight hours. I use it under my foundation and over my usual primer. I was reluctant to buy it at first because of the price and how little product there is but after using it I would definitely buy it again seeing as a little goes a long way!

So-so
I wouldn't recommend using this product if you're anything like me: cursed with ridiculously greasy skin. It's great quality and makes my skin really matte and awesome for maybe 2 hours or so, but then pockets of oil begin to pool on my t-zone, my make-up disperses and it's all very gross. However, I would recommend this for anyone with moderately oily skin, as is evident in the various reviews here already.

Good if you don't have an oil slick on your face.
I first got this product through a sample at sephora and fell in LOVE. So, I purchased the full size soon after I ran out of the sample. I have really oily skin and it worked really great the first couple weeks of using it, but after that it seemed like my skin 'got used' to the product being on my skin and wasn't as effective as it used to be when I first purchased the product. It still works great, but it doesn't keep me matte all day. Instead, at 4 or so I have to reapply over my makeup. It's not such a big deal because being a high school student it lasts all through the school day which is nice.
All in all, this is a really fantastic product and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good mattifying gel.

No more grease!
I love this product! I have a pretty oily T-zone and this really helps stop my skin from getting greasy. It's perfect for that night out, photo shoots, weddings or other events that you want to look your absolute best. This tube might seem small but a little goes a long way.

A littl goes a long way.
I use it on especially hot muggy days and only on my t-zone. Make sure you blend it well because if you don't, it is very noticeable. It does help control my oily skin and I do touch up less. I wear it under matte mineral foundation and they compliment each other.

My skin is too oily for De-Slick
I usually love every product UD comes out with but De-Slick sadly disappoints a little. I use it under my tinted moisturizer and in 3-4 hours my skin appears oily again (vs. 1-2 hours when I don't use De-Slick). I also suspect that it clogs my pores because I started to notice more blackheads on my nose. I've since stopped using it but I'll save De-Slick for special occasion use. In the mean time, I'll just stock up on the oil-blotting papers.

My one MUST HAVE item
I tried this on a whim and have found that I can't live without it! I'm on my 3rd tube after about 1 and a half years of every day use - not bad bang for your buck. I have extremely oily skin and I take very good care of my skin and have tried many products to help keep oil at bay under my makeup. This is the only one up to the job. One thing to mention is that this isn't a stand-alone primer, I find I have to use primer on top of it because the finish isn't very smooth. Another thing is I don't know how people use it on top of their makeup because it just smears my makeup if I try to use it that way. Also if you don't rub it in well enough you can end up with cake-y streaks of it visible on your face. Just a tiny dab on clean and moisturized skin in the oily areas before primer is the best way I've found to use it. Fantastic product, will always use this!

Makes my makeup last!
I am acne prone and so was very nervous to spend the money on something that might potentially break me out but I was looking for something to make my makeup last (I workout a lot and am a personal trainer)
This stuff is the bomb! I can't wait to try the powder version as well. I actually apply this over all of my makeup (blush bronzer foundation,etc) as I find that it what works for me. I don't run it over my face,I just lightly pat it over everything. Oh and this doesnt make me breakout. I may clog up a bit in the cheek area but thats it.

My Holy Grail Product!
I decided to try this product after reading very positive reviews about it. I have extremely oily skin and normally, wearing foundation is such a chore because I have to re-apply it constantly throughout the day. With this product, though, I go through a full 12-hour day with minimal oil on my face.
This is my miracle product. I absolutely love everything about it! It's very easy to apply and a little goes a long way, so one tube could last you a quite some time. I am definitely going to be purchasing this again and I highly recommend it!

Love to be De-Slicked!
I love this stuff! I had always thought that I had normal to dry skin, until I started looking at photos of myself! Yuck! In most of them I looked as if I had rubbed a stick of butter on my face! (Giving new meaning to the term "butterface." ) I put this on over my foundation and never need to reapply. It's that good.

WORKS WONDERS!!
I have tried everything under the moon to combat my oily T-zone. I have also used the powder and both are fantastic.. but this, I apply this under my makeup and I don't get greasy/shiny skin at all!!! I LOVE this product andI never be without it!!! BIGTIME staple in my traincase now!!! :-)

No more oil spill
This stuff is wonderful. I have a very oily forehead by the end of the day, especially when I wear makeup. I put just a tiny lil bit on my forehead, after I've put my moisturizer on, and voila...no more oil spill on my forehead! You really do need just a tiny bit.

Awful application, good result
This is less a "gel" and more of a thick paste. Application is extremely difficult, because it really doesn't like to spread and pills up like crazy. That said, it DOES mattify better than any other product I've tried. I'm just not sure it's worth the annoyance.

Shine? Begone!
This is an excellent powder-creme to use on those problem areas of the face. It keeps oil from disturbing your makeup and causing an icky shine.
Be warned--using too much of it makes it cake white on your face, so use sparingly.

Great!
This zaps oil. a little goes a long way. I put it on my trouble zones and it sucks the oil up. I also use the powder as well. With both of them. My oily skin feels fresh. I live in a hot humid area and it works great.

Perfect for touching up shiny areas
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing.. It falls right next to the face complexion primer and I love love love it. I'm always touching up my makeup because I tend to get oily throughout the day and just the tiniest dab of this on my t-zone, and the shine is GONE! And it lasts a long time, too!
The only thing I would recommend is not using this before liquid foundation. My foundation didn't mix well with this sitting on top of my skin, so I would only use it for touch ups. I love love love this thing!

Not a Big Fan!
I have super oily skin. I've tried many products to help my skin and it just seems to make it worse. Including this one. It works great for a bit and then my skin will go back to oily.

A Must Have Product for Humid Climates
I have oily skin, and living in the hot, humid Mississippi climate does not help at all!!! I use this product in the moring and again for touch ups in the afternoon. It is fantastic!!!

Mattifying and Long-Lasting!
My t-zone is fairly oily, and this has been on my "to buy" list for a while now. I finally picked up a tube a couple of weeks ago, and it's amazing the change I see in how long my makeup lasts and how long my face stays matte. I love that this is a gel. It doesn't feel greasy, it's lightweight, and it's mattifying effect lasts me at least 6 hours before I feel like I need to touch up. I love it because at the end of the day, my face doesn't feel nasty! I highly recommend this product!

I love this!
i've always loved the deslick powder, so i was super excited to try the sample of this that i received with my last order. I went and purchased the full size right away, this stuff is amazing!
i dont have super oily skin, but certain areas tend to get really shiny throughout the day. i apply this under my foundation in the morning, just where i need it (t-zone, nose) and it keeps me looking matte all day long !
its also great for touchups throughout the day, and won't mess up your makeup when applied over foundation and powder.
this doesn't make my makeup look thick or cakey, as long as you don't use too much product it applies and blends wonderfully.
i guess this seems a little expensive, but a little goes a very long way, and since i dont use it all over my face i think this will last a very long time.

HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT!
I recieved a sample of this with a palette I ordered. I have NEVER been so impressed with a makeup product in my life! No matter what I do, my forehead is oily an hour after applying my makeup (I always powder my t-zone). In using the tiniest bit of this gel after applying foundation and powder, my forehead stays matte all day long. I couldn't believe it the first time I used it. It was seriously, AMAZING. This is something I will repurchas as long as UD makes it :-)

A must have for oily skin
I adore this product! I have super oily skin, to the point that I would have to wash my face in the middle of the day just to control the oil. And when I want a matte face I love to use this product. This product controls my oily skin for quite a while. The downside is the amount of product. I try not to use this product so much, but it didn't take much for me to almost run out. I would defiantly recommend this to try for people with oily skin though.
