As a mom on the go I often find myself getting ready last minute in the car (as a passenger safety first!) and if I throw one of these in my makeup bag I can be sure my shadows will stay all day. These really bring out the colors in shadows and help they stay where you put them. The only downside is the packaging, as you can loose some of the product to the sides of the container. I choose to break it open when it is done to get the rest of it on the sides. March 6, 2013Really great...sometimes... I heard so many amazing things about this product that I had to pick it up. The first few times I used it, it was exactly as I excepted, creamy, easy to use, and kept my shadow in place. Then, after about two weeks of using it, my shadows started to crease. I have oily lids so I'm assuming that's the problem. I find that the primer works best under a cream shadow with a powder shadow over it. Urban Decay Primer potion is by far the best primer I have ever used. My skin is very oily and my eyelids get very oily too. Primer potion helps eyeshadow apply easily and smoothly and stays looking fresh all day long! Even if I choose not to use eyeshadow, I apply primer potion to keep eyeliner from smearing and smudging. I also use daily if I wear no make up to keep my eyelids from looking shiny. Regardless of the whether or season, I can rely on my Urban Decay to keep my eyeshadow great and fresh! March 5, 2013Good for the young, not for mature skin If you're into heavy/dark eyeshadow, this primer is great. The eyeshadow will cover the texture it leaves on your lids. Otherwise, it really shows if your eyeshadow is light, especially on the inner part of the lid where you don't put a lot of eyeshadow. It dries fast, doesn't blend well on skin and leaves a slightly rough texture. You may have to rub it well just to get it blended and if you have mature skin, you really don't want to do that. So, I bought a cheap 120 color eyeshadow palette from eBay right? I pub my finger into the shadow, good color pay off, I put it on my eyelid, all the color pay off is horrible. Each eyeshadow was about 25 cents each. I was upset I wasted money on this, but then I paired it up with this primer and my god, the color shows up so amazingly and lasts all day without creasing. I can actually blend color too now. I seriously recommend buying this. In fact, go buy the full size, you'll never have to buy expensive eye shadows again! Plus a little bit of this stuff goes a LONG way. c: QUICK TIP! If you buy this bottle, and you aren't getting primer on your brush anymore, cut open the bottle. Trust me, A LOT gets stuck on the sides, just put the left over primer in a left over empty eyeshadow pot WITH A LID. Don't go by what they give you in the card samples because it is not what you get from the actual product. For some reason, whenever I got the sample cards for these the potion always came out really thick and goopy. It didn't spread well and didn't work well. I don't know why that is, but the actual product isn't like that at all. It goes on soft and smooth and even looks good on its own. August 24, 2011Meh I use this primer (the original) with the Naked Palette and ... it just doesn't measure up. I find the formula is a little oily so I will wait a few minutes after I put it on before I start applying eyeshadow. I do not find that it helps the eye colour stand out, or even stay on longer. In fact, I find my shadow half off by the end of the night it's a big disappointment. I would like to try other shades, like Eden or Greed and see how they work compared with the Original. I have this in original, which is a flesh tone color. It goes on my lids smoothly and I can even rub it into my lashes without it gunking up! I used the UD Shadow Pencil over it and it hasn't moved AT ALL. From 5:45 in the morning til 8 at night, there has been NO CREASING, no sliding around at all - my makeup still looks flawless, as if I'd just put it on. Just a small dab of this primer will work wonders! This was my first time using it so I bought the travel size instead of the full but now I wish I had caved and bought the full potion. The primer really does fade completely and it keeps my eyeshadow from fading during the day. Because I prefer neutral colors, if I don't use the primer all of my color seems to be gone by the end of the workday. With it, my makeup lasts until I get home late at night. I am so use to using so much shadow that on my first application I used my regular amount of shadow on my brush and the primer grabbed so much of the shadow I had to start over.
