When I was about 12 and first starting to get into make-up, my best friend gave me her extra travel size and told me to use it before I put on eye shadow. So I kept it untill I started wearing make-up and did what she told me. I have oily skin, like in between normal and really oily, and with out the primer potion, my shadows were creased and gone within 3-4 hours. Once I ran out, I decided to try other brands because I didn't have a Sephora near me. I tried Clinique, Mary Kay, and Too Faced, none of them made the slightest difference. Thats when I knew that I had to get another primer potion. I have had my current tube for a year now and have about 1/3 left. With out my primer, the eye shadows don't glide onto the lid either. The are all patchy and it takes me forever to make them look decent. With the primer, I just take one sweep and it looks perfet. I also use it on my brows. I just take a bit and rub in over my eye brows and then fill them in. Works like a charm! Any way, this truly is an amazing product and is the only one that works on my skin. I use the De Slick oil control make-up setting spray for my face and that is great as well. I can't wait to try all the other primers UD offers. October 7, 2012MY FAVORITE UD PRODUCT EVER!!! Oh my god I pray that UD never stops selling this product because it is just a beauty miracle! My introduction to these products came when my mother sent me a surprise UD kit that came with a mini (3.7 ml) Primer Potion in their basic original shade. It immediately became my most coveted beauty product. It really makes your eyeshadow POP in the most flattering way so you really get every ounce of pigmentation out of your makeup, and of course it helps your eyeshadow stay on forever. I have a habit of rubbing at my eyes, and without the primer I end up looking like a sad raccoon. With it though my makeup stays flawless regardless of how tired I am (hence the eye rubbing). I now am the proud owner of the 10 ml in Sin and Greed. I was hesitant at both because of the colors; I thought sin might be too pink (which just doesn't work with my skin unfortunately) and that greed would be a garish gold. Of course, I trust UD to have the highest quality products, and boy did they deliver with these! You can wear them as a primer beneath eyeshadow or alone and it looks fantastic! Sin is a gorgeous champagne; subtle but even my boyfriend noticed. Greed is actually my favorite. I love how the color complements my eyes and whatever color eyeshadow I pair with it. I know there are a lot of reviews for this product that will tell you the exact same thing, but holy cow this stuff is insanely great! I got a travel sized version of this when i got my Naked palette, and right away i noticed the difference between eyeshadow with and without using primer. Using this primer, my eyeshadow does not budge at ALL throughout the day. This is so important for me because i don't have time to reapply my shadows throughout my school day. The colors are also more pigmented when using this primer, which is great because it means I do not have to use as much makeup. The product is a bit costly at $20, but this primer really is one of the best out there. I would say that its worth it, and although it may look like there isn't a lot of primer in one tube, it goes a LONG way. i've had the same tube for months. Be sure to not use too much though because you really don't need that much to do the job. Applying this is simple, and it feels really smooth and light on my lids. Be sure to use your ring finger to put the primer on because its the weakest finger and won't damage the sensitive skin on your eyes. Seriously, if you are not sure whether to get this just ask yourself: Do I want more pigmented shadows? Do I want my eyeshadow to look great all day/ night long? Buy it. July 13, 2012Never Knew I Needed This... Until I Bought One! Ok, so I really don't have oily eyelids or anything, and I didn't think I needed a primer. I did not really have much issue with any creasing or whatnot. I got this primer kind of to see if it really did anything. When I use this I noticed that my eyeshadow looked EXACTLY the way i applied it many hours earlier, even after 6 hours at the airport and on a plane during that day. That is absolute torture for your skin and makeup, but 12 hours after I applied my makeup, my crease color was still in the crease, my highlight was exactly how I applied it, as was the inner corner, the lash lines, and the lid color, all perfectly placed, and the color was 100% true to the way it had looked earlier. What this told me is that without this product, my eyeshadow faded during the day, and shifted, and some of it disappeared. I had never really paid attention to this but when I saw myself in the mirror that day I kind of jumped backwards because I was so shocked to see my eye makeup was basically frozen in time! I really have no idea how this product works, and I'm pretty good with ingredients, so I will just assume it is MAGIC and leave it at that. I waited like 10 years to try this because I didn't feel like buying into the hype, but with the great squeeze tube you really don't have any excuse to miss out. February 11, 2012A Must Have! This product is amazing! Before I discovered primer, my eyeshadow would always crease or fade throughout the day. I have oily lids so eyeshadow can be a pain to apply and never lasts all day. However, with this product my eyeshadow applies smoothly and stays all day...no creasing! I love using this product because the primer really brings out the color in your eyeshadow. A lot of my lower end and even some of my high end eyeshadow can end up looking patchy without primer. My husband and I enjoy being outdoors and we love to hike, cycle, and swim. Last summer I used this primer with my eyeshadow before going out (because what girl doesn't want to look glamorous while hiking? lol) and after a good sweat my shadow was still there. At $20.00 it may seem a little expensive but you do get a lot of product. I don't wear makeup on a daily basis but I've had my bottle for almost a year now and still have plenty left. One thing I'd like to add is that there are a lot of primers out there that are less expensive and are *almost* comparable in quality. I own several brands of primer and will often use the cheaper ones if I know I will only need my makeup to stay for a few hours. If you need all day staying power I do recommend Urban Decay's primer, but I think it could get expensive if you make this your ONLY primer. February 3, 2012Singing the praises of the original UDPP I have tried quite a few primers for eyeshadow, and I've got to say the original is hands down the best. There's a reason it's got such a cult following. My eyeshadow always pops the most when using this. It also creates a smooth surface so your eyeshadow doesn't look cakey or crepey, nor does it crease throughout the day. I also find that it lasts longer than most primers. I have ridiculously oily lids and deep sockets. Eyeshadow tends to melt off--literally--if I don't use a good primer. There are a couple different ones I've tried and that I like, but the original UDPP is the ONE for me. I only wish it somehow allowed my shadow to stick better in my socket line area, so when I close my eyes the shadow is still there. But I doubt anything could do that and it's really not that important, as long as the parts of my lids that are always showing stay in tact. Great product, UD! I love the new packaging, by the way! You get so much product for your money. Don't let the initial sticker shock steer you away! Unfortunately, I do have to say that I've tried Eden, since I was hoping it would be better for my oily lids. It's definitely not right for me and I need to figure out what I'm going to do with it. It doesn't last as long and doesn't make my shadows stand out as much as I'd like. I'll stick to the original.
