Provides the perfect canvas This is another one of my favorite products. It provides the perfect canvas for my eye shadows and liner. I love all the colors but usually reach for Eden. This color is the perfect natural complement to my facial coloring (fair to medium/blue eyes, brown hair). I have just started using it to help hide my under eye dark circles. I was frustrated that all other under eye concealers vanished within a few hours or made my "wrinkles" even more pronounced, as well as made my eyeliner run or smudge. This does not! A few dabs under my eye followed by a light blending and I'm set for the whole day. It doesn't crease or cake in my "wrinkles". and it gives my eyeliner even more staying power. I love it! The Only Primer I Ever Use! I have this primer in all the shades, except for Greed & I love each & every one of them! They are beautiful by themselves, but wearing them underneath eye shadow is like magic! It makes my eye shadow last all day long, even when swimming! & the different shades make it easy to make even your typical eye shadow look pop even more! This product is sooo easy to use & I honestly can't wear eye shadow without it. I experience absolutely no creasing with this product! The new packacing is AWESOME. Best primer I've used I bought the Little Sins set of primers when it was on sale, and I have been very happy with the products so far. The variance in colors really comes in handy when I want a different look, and a little goes a very long way. It kept my makeup crease-free all day & really helped the colors pop (especially when using the more pigmented primers). The only negative I have to say is that the tube I got of the original formula was somewhat watery, nothing like the consistency of the others in the set. I don't know if it was supposed to be that way or not, but overall I loved the products & have already raved to friends about this brand. February 23, 2012

So far unmatched in longevity I've tried many of the similarly priced options out there for eye primers, and UD PP remains the best for longevity. By the end of the day everything is almost exactly where I put it, and it hasn't changed noticeably in consistency. The shade offerings are pretty great, though I'm a fan mostly of the original that goes on colorless. My only downside, and I admit this may just be my skin type, is that if I use it daily it tends to dry out the delicate skin on the inside corner nearer to my nose, especially at the lash-line. That is manageable, however, so I still keep this as a regular in my arsenal, and will continue to choose it over others. March 21, 2013
Makes my eyeshadows last all day! I am in love with Urban Decay's primer potion. As a dark skinned African-American female with extremely oily skin, I have always had a problem with my eyeshadow creasing within the first hour of my application. I used to spend my money on expensive makeup, but was discouraged because no one could see all the effort I put into my makeup. After using Urban Decay's primer potion I noticed that my makeup would literally stay in place all day! Urban Decay Original Primer Potion is One Of the Best.. Urban Decay Original Primer Potion is One of the Best Eye Primer I Have ever used. It is very easy to use and it is very creamy. When I am using this product on my eyelids and under my eye ( Mono lid), I feel that it is very creamy and easy to blend. When I apply my eye shadow after it dries, it immediately intensify the colors of the shadow. It is very easy to blend, it doesn't smudge after a long day or using eyeliners or liquid. It stays on my eyes for a long time without a smudge. The packaging its very Pretty and edgy.. One of the Cons I have with this product is it takes a couple of minutes or to have all the product off your eyes washing the product off but still Love this product and Would recommend this product!! Choices choices :) UD primer potions, where to start? a) the name is awesome let's face it b) the "vintage tube" and this one are both great and easy to use and apply c) they dont smell or look cakey d) they dont dry out my eyes (i have contacts and bad allergies, my eys dry out easily) e) theres so many choices!!! i choose the original (the light purple) for 90% of my makeup looks, and 'sin' (the brown tube) is my second favorite because the color isnt to loud and when i wanna be quick i just put that on with eyeliner and it looks like eyeshadow. i have yet to try the last one (the yellow and dark purple) but definitely will soon :) Ive tried other primers but UD's are the best and most comfortable for my eye type and you get plenty of uses out of one tube !! Miracle Potion! I'm a makeup newbie. I still have a lot to learn. I used to just apply pressed powder eye shadows with my tiny little sponge brush. Now I know better. I tried the primer potion for the first time when it came with my Naked palette. I was skeptical at first. I didn't understand how a liquid lotion like substance could help keep color on my eyelids... but it certainly does and it's amazing. The pigment faded and my eyelids felt super soft. I was cursed with lids that easily wrinkle so I always have to be careful on my outer corners and take my time, otherwise I end up with striped shadow. The primer helped this problem a whole bunch. Don't believe the hype! I know I'm going to get heck for this review, but I am very disappointed in the Primer Potion. I've had many different samples and also purchased a full size, and for some reason, it just doesn't work well for me. I apply it and a very short time later it's dry to the point that my brushes pretty much just flick off all the color I try to apply. Layering doesn't help because it leaves a streak on my eyes and when I apply color over it, more color shows where the streaking is. I do like the color selection, texture, and the fact that it doesn't crease, but the lack of creasing doesn't do much good when I can't apply my makeup with this product. May 4, 2012
Miracle on UD Street I've been using the UD eye shadow primer and hands down, this is the BEST I've ever used. I have tried numerous others, professional lines & not-so professional, but UD nailed it. I have oily eyelids, not sure how that's possible, but mine are. This primer keeps my eyeshadow on all day, even through working out at the gym. I look in my mirror when I leave the gym & my eyeshadow looks great! I used to always have my eyeshadow crease or rub off, but not anymore. Of course, I do use it with the Naked pallette so that probably helps keeping both products as UD. Newbie Diva I watched quite a few videos on youtube & noticed a trend with everyone suggesting this as a primer. For me, as a teen, make-up was so intimidating. So I never tried it. New year, new me so I thought what the heck. I purchased my shadows before hand; my sephora order was on the way with the UD primer. I tried my shadows with and without. Honestly, I noticed the difference....major difference in the color intensity and longevity. I'm AA so its already a chore IMO getting certain colors to "work"/mesh with my skin tone. Primer Potion Really is Like Magic Urban Decay's Primer Potion in Sin is my go-to eyeshadow primer. This stuff is so amazing: it's a beautiful color that complements a lot of other UD eyeshadows (I like to wear it with Toasted), it stays on forever, and it's so light and creamy. It's really quick and easy to use... my eyes look amazing even on days when I barely have time to put on any makeup, and it even looks good by itself. I've gotten so many complements on this primer. My only issue with this primer is the new packaging: it's easier to smear when using it with my fingers instead of with a brush. But this is a really minor issue when the primer is so incredible otherwise. January 31, 2012
These are life savers. How I once wore makeup without it is a mystery. I use Eden for my everyday eyeshadows because I am in a matte eyeshadow stage. I use the original formula for my eyebrows. Sit. Stay. Good eye-makeup. That's pretty much what these primers do. They make your eyeshadow go on smooth and stay put. I have used all, except for Eden, and they're mostly great. Except for greed, which may crease slightly. And also, I was expecting something more along the lines of Sin, which I can use alone or under foundation for a "I'm not wearing makeup, but I look very refreshed and lively" look, but doesn't really show up much at all. Sin's lovely, though, not much more to say about that. And the original UDPP's even got the seal of approval from a friends mother who tried it. Amazing product I've been using the UD Primer Potion in original for a little over one month now and I'm extremely impressed. I had tried other means of getting my eyeshadow to stay and other primers did not work very well. After a few hours, the other primers would let the product melt into my crease or my skin would get just oily enough to cause my eyeliner to smudge. That's when I requested the UD Primer Potion as part of my Christmas present. Ever since I received my primer potion, I've been using it every day. It doesn't irritate my skin like others do and it keeps my eye makeup looking neatly applied, well after the other primers would have worn off. January 31, 2012
Essential Whenever I see an eyeshadow primer recommended, it's always this one - and with good reason. Having tried a few other high-end primers, this one really is the best. It goes on smooth and creamy, and it really does help eyeshadows last, keep from creasing, and go on as well as possible. The new packaging is less cute, sure, but a big improvement in terms of usability over the old bottles. The original shade is an essential part of my everday makeup routine, and Sin and Greed are good choices when I want a little highlighting or shimmer but don't want to go with full eyeshadow. BEST primer ever! I have extremely oily skin, which means my eyelids are super oily as well. I've tried a million different primers & bases but nothing works as well as my Urban Decay Primer Potion! I have shades Original & Sin. The original is nice & sheer, & blends in like a dream. Sin is like a primer & eyeshadow in one! It's the perfect amount of shimmer & is so gorgeous. I've never, ever had my eye makeup crease or face while using my Primer Potions. It also makes my eye makeup look so much brighter & more pigmented which is always a plus! AWESOME PRIMER !!!!! VERY VERSATILE!!! LESS IS MORE!!! Let me begin by saying that with this primer, LESS is definitely more. You don't want to pack it on, because at that point, you will end up with a muddy mess, and you are wasting the product. Just dab on a little and spread it out. you can always build up. I love how this primer comes in different shades. I have oily lids, so it works great on my eyes, otherwise, my shadows play a disappearing act by the time I am outside. I LOVE how UD made it easier to get the product out of the packaging by making a squeeze tube. I have been using UD primer potion for several years it is a must in my make up bag. First it locks down your eye shadow for hours many many hours. Seconds it brings any eye shadow to life. It make colors more vibrant and amazing. I have extreamly oily lids and this product still locks down my eye shadow. I love UD's eye shadows but i will forever be grateful for their amazing primer potion. It is extreamly lightweight. AMAZING I initially got this product with my Urban Decay Naked Palette, and that is the first time i tried it on as well. I fell in love right away, and i got so excited about this product that i wore it everywhere until it ran out dry! And then I bought another, and another, and i am still using this brand because i honestly have not come across anything better! The best part about this product is that it looks so natural! Genius When I first started wearing makeup, my eyeshadow would crease and some would end up falling all over my face. I discovered this a few years ago and I have NEVER been disappointed. I just apply a small amount (a little goes a long way) and rub it in. It is super simple and easy to use, and your eyeshadow will absolutely not budge all day. Recently, I applied my makeup at 10am and ended up taking it off at 3am, and my eyes didn't look worn or faded at all! I I once forgot to put this on and was amazed at how much more dull the color was and how greasy my lids ended up getting. A wedding must have Eye shadow primers are an obsession like no other. And UD’s original primer potion was in my wedding make up arsenal when I traveled to Mexico for my brother’s wedding. I did the brides make up, as well as mine, and the maid of honors. Let me just tell you, our makeup didn’t even budge with the 60% humidity and 85 degree weather! This is a MUST buy If you love playing, applying, experimenting with makeup, then you know that you need a good primer for your eyelids. UD's Eyeshadow Primer Potion is my absolute favorite. I love the new easy-squeeze tube (I think it's easier to get the product out than before with the bottle that came with a wand). You're eyeshadow will stay on all day, regardless of whether you are wearing an UD shadow or not. I have a few Bare Escentuals eye shadows that would normally fade or crease within a few hours. Magical Mystery Potion I used to have the hardest time with eyeshadow. No matter what I did, within a couple hours of applying my eye makeup, it would crease and slide all over the place. After purchasing the primer potion for the first time a few years ago, I have never again encountered creasing or sliding eye makeup. I use the Original Primer and it truly does wonders at keeping colors vibrant and in place all day. I also have the primer potion in Sin, and it works beautifully by itself, as a highlight, or as a base. Amazing!!!!!! I really needed an eye primer because my eyeshadows would crease. It's really unattractive to have all your eyeshadow in your crease. I had gotten a little sample with UD Naked Pallete and loved it. So I was saving up all my money to go on a shopping spree to get that and other things. I thought the old packaging was really pretty but after a while you can get everything out. When I went to go buy it I had asked if they had the tube kind and they did it was a two pack of original and sin. Sin is so pretty on its own to make eyeshadow pop and just great. best primer yet! I swear by eye primer because I fall victim to the crease monster very, very easily. I decided to buy both the Eden and Sin shades, and I am in. love. with them. The Sin is absolutely amazing, especially when used with glittery eye shadows. It really makes the color pop, and I also find it to be an amazing highlighter, and it can definitely be used alone if in a rush, or if you just want a champagne, shimmer-y look without the work! Eden is lovely as well. It's different from other primers as it adds a bit of color, but it isn't too much or too drastic. I adore both of these and won't put on eye makeup without them. MUST have product If you suffer from oily lids, like myself or if you just want picture perfect make up this is an absolute must have. I swear by this product 100%. I have done complete 12 hour days with 2 hour workouts (dripping in sweat might I add) and this primer has lasted through it all. When it comes to the amazing quality of this primer and the fact that the product itself lasts for months I would definitely say the price is completely worth it. Coupled with the fact that you won't need to waste time and make up with constant touch ups it really is a product worth the buy. Im In Love! Urban Decay has definitely done it again! I love this primer, its not only easy to use(with or without the new container, which by the way I love!) but it also keeps my eyeshadow on ALL day. My friend told me that she uses it to keep her pencil eyeliner on (top lid only) and that it works really well. So I too tried it and was surprised because my liner didn't fade, smug, and was hard to take off with water (but fairly easy with make up remover) Also I have tried Original which is my most used one, and sin which i adore and Im actually using a lot lately at least 3 out of 7 days. This stuff is so amazing: it's a beautiful color that complements a lot of other UD eyeshadows (I like to wear it with Toasted), it stays on forever, and it's so light and creamy. It's really quick and easy to use... my eyes look amazing even on days when I barely have time to put on any makeup, and it even looks good by itself. I've gotten so many complements on this primer. My only issue with this primer is the new packaging: it's easier to smear when using it with my fingers instead of with a brush. But this is a really minor issue when the primer is so incredible otherwise. January 31, 2012
These are life savers. How I once wore makeup without it is a mystery. I use Eden for my everyday eyeshadows because I am in a matte eyeshadow stage. I use the original formula for my eyebrows. Sit. Stay. Good eye-makeup. That's pretty much what these primers do. They make your eyeshadow go on smooth and stay put. I have used all, except for Eden, and they're mostly great. Except for greed, which may crease slightly. And also, I was expecting something more along the lines of Sin, which I can use alone or under foundation for a "I'm not wearing makeup, but I look very refreshed and lively" look, but doesn't really show up much at all. Sin's lovely, though, not much more to say about that. And the original UDPP's even got the seal of approval from a friends mother who tried it. Amazing product I've been using the UD Primer Potion in original for a little over one month now and I'm extremely impressed. I had tried other means of getting my eyeshadow to stay and other primers did not work very well. After a few hours, the other primers would let the product melt into my crease or my skin would get just oily enough to cause my eyeliner to smudge. That's when I requested the UD Primer Potion as part of my Christmas present. Ever since I received my primer potion, I've been using it every day. It doesn't irritate my skin like others do and it keeps my eye makeup looking neatly applied, well after the other primers would have worn off. January 31, 2012
Essential Whenever I see an eyeshadow primer recommended, it's always this one - and with good reason. Having tried a few other high-end primers, this one really is the best. It goes on smooth and creamy, and it really does help eyeshadows last, keep from creasing, and go on as well as possible. The new packaging is less cute, sure, but a big improvement in terms of usability over the old bottles. The original shade is an essential part of my everday makeup routine, and Sin and Greed are good choices when I want a little highlighting or shimmer but don't want to go with full eyeshadow. BEST primer ever! I have extremely oily skin, which means my eyelids are super oily as well. I've tried a million different primers & bases but nothing works as well as my Urban Decay Primer Potion! I have shades Original & Sin. The original is nice & sheer, & blends in like a dream. Sin is like a primer & eyeshadow in one! It's the perfect amount of shimmer & is so gorgeous. I've never, ever had my eye makeup crease or face while using my Primer Potions. It also makes my eye makeup look so much brighter & more pigmented which is always a plus! AWESOME PRIMER !!!!! VERY VERSATILE!!! LESS IS MORE!!! Let me begin by saying that with this primer, LESS is definitely more. You don't want to pack it on, because at that point, you will end up with a muddy mess, and you are wasting the product. Just dab on a little and spread it out. you can always build up. I love how this primer comes in different shades. I have oily lids, so it works great on my eyes, otherwise, my shadows play a disappearing act by the time I am outside. I LOVE how UD made it easier to get the product out of the packaging by making a squeeze tube. If you have dryer lids, this product may not work so well for you. this product is most definitely well worth the price!!!! March 5, 2013
I CAN NOT LIVE WITH OUT IT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY PRIMER. This is a must have for every make up junkie why you ask? It is AMAZING... I have been using UD primer potion for several years it is a must in my make up bag. First it locks down your eye shadow for hours many many hours. Seconds it brings any eye shadow to life. It make colors more vibrant and amazing. I have extreamly oily lids and this product still locks down my eye shadow. I love UD's eye shadows but i will forever be grateful for their amazing primer potion. It is extreamly lightweight. AMAZING I initially got this product with my Urban Decay Naked Palette, and that is the first time i tried it on as well. I fell in love right away, and i got so excited about this product that i wore it everywhere until it ran out dry! And then I bought another, and another, and i am still using this brand because i honestly have not come across anything better! The best part about this product is that it looks so natural! Genius When I first started wearing makeup, my eyeshadow would crease and some would end up falling all over my face. I discovered this a few years ago and I have NEVER been disappointed. I just apply a small amount (a little goes a long way) and rub it in. It is super simple and easy to use, and your eyeshadow will absolutely not budge all day. Recently, I applied my makeup at 10am and ended up taking it off at 3am, and my eyes didn't look worn or faded at all! I I once forgot to put this on and was amazed at how much more dull the color was and how greasy my lids ended up getting. I would have said that the packaging was a con, but since it now comes in a tube, there is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this. I recommend this 100% August 4, 2011
A wedding must have Eye shadow primers are an obsession like no other. And UD’s original primer potion was in my wedding make up arsenal when I traveled to Mexico for my brother’s wedding. I did the brides make up, as well as mine, and the maid of honors. Let me just tell you, our makeup didn’t even budge with the 60% humidity and 85 degree weather! Not to mention the tears that we all knew would stream down our faces. This is a MUST buy If you love playing, applying, experimenting with makeup, then you know that you need a good primer for your eyelids. UD's Eyeshadow Primer Potion is my absolute favorite. I love the new easy-squeeze tube (I think it's easier to get the product out than before with the bottle that came with a wand). You're eyeshadow will stay on all day, regardless of whether you are wearing an UD shadow or not. I have a few Bare Escentuals eye shadows that would normally fade or crease within a few hours. Not anymore when I use the UD primer. This is absolutely worth the money and will make your eye makeup look all-over more professional and polished. September 4, 2011
Magical Mystery Potion I used to have the hardest time with eyeshadow. No matter what I did, within a couple hours of applying my eye makeup, it would crease and slide all over the place. After purchasing the primer potion for the first time a few years ago, I have never again encountered creasing or sliding eye makeup. I use the Original Primer and it truly does wonders at keeping colors vibrant and in place all day. I also have the primer potion in Sin, and it works beautifully by itself, as a highlight, or as a base. Amazing!!!!!! I really needed an eye primer because my eyeshadows would crease. It's really unattractive to have all your eyeshadow in your crease. I had gotten a little sample with UD Naked Pallete and loved it. So I was saving up all my money to go on a shopping spree to get that and other things. I thought the old packaging was really pretty but after a while you can get everything out. When I went to go buy it I had asked if they had the tube kind and they did it was a two pack of original and sin. Sin is so pretty on its own to make eyeshadow pop and just great. best primer yet! I swear by eye primer because I fall victim to the crease monster very, very easily. I decided to buy both the Eden and Sin shades, and I am in. love. with them. The Sin is absolutely amazing, especially when used with glittery eye shadows. It really makes the color pop, and I also find it to be an amazing highlighter, and it can definitely be used alone if in a rush, or if you just want a champagne, shimmer-y look without the work! Eden is lovely as well. It's different from other primers as it adds a bit of color, but it isn't too much or too drastic. I adore both of these and won't put on eye makeup without them. MUST have product If you suffer from oily lids, like myself or if you just want picture perfect make up this is an absolute must have. I swear by this product 100%. I have done complete 12 hour days with 2 hour workouts (dripping in sweat might I add) and this primer has lasted through it all. When it comes to the amazing quality of this primer and the fact that the product itself lasts for months I would definitely say the price is completely worth it. Coupled with the fact that you won't need to waste time and make up with constant touch ups it really is a product worth the buy. Im In Love! Urban Decay has definitely done it again! I love this primer, its not only easy to use(with or without the new container, which by the way I love!) but it also keeps my eyeshadow on ALL day. My friend told me that she uses it to keep her pencil eyeliner on (top lid only) and that it works really well. So I too tried it and was surprised because my liner didn't fade, smug, and was hard to take off with water (but fairly easy with make up remover) Also I have tried Original which is my most used one, and sin which i adore and Im actually using a lot lately at least 3 out of 7 days.
