There's plenty of days that I've gone out and people have asked if I was ill just because of the contrast between my pallid cheeks and the bags under my eyes. I can honestly say, without any exaggeration, hyperbole or anything else, that my Gilded compact is the single best thing that ever happened to me cosmetically. I apply it with a brush and get just enough tint on my cheeks to look like I have a touch of sun and a touch of blushing color. No chunky glitter and it's just enough to make you look not dead. However, it's a little on the orange side so I don't recommend it for very fair skin, at least not the shade I have. As expected from UD it has great pigment with just the right amount of shimmer for a golden sunkissed look. While its easy to apply, its important to take an extra 30 seconds to make sure it is well blended and natural looking. The gold gives this bronzer that little extra something special! I mostly use the glided one in summer to get the nice and healthy look and in winters I use "toasted" to achieve the sculptured look which i love. It gave me an outstanding long-lasting glow and had just the right amount of shimmer to add sparkle to my face. February 17, 2012Pretty good This is a nice matte bronzer. I have the color Toasted, and I think that this could work on a lot of different skin tones. I have very fair skin, and I love it, and so does my friend who has darker olive toned skin. My only issue with this product is that is a bit orange, but once you blend it out it looks fine. I have very fair skin and this bronzer gives me a natural bronzed look without looking fake or orange. You don't need to put a lot and you will still get a glowing look. It also doesn't leave my skin feeling too oily afterwards. The powder goes on nicely with the right brush and blends easily. I wear this alone with blush and it creates the perfect look! March 7, 2013Great bronzer - just make sure you apply it right This bronzer is overall pretty awesome. It has great quality, and I honestly get asked if I've been tanning recently when I wear it in the winter (which I love). The only downside is, if you apply it wrong (either in dim lighting or with the wrong type of brush, for example) it can go on too heavily, and give you that fake, my-face-is-a-different-color-than-the-rest-of-my-body look. So, in conclusion: as long as you apply this bronzer in good lighting, and make sure that your brush doesn't have too much bronzer caked onto it (you can prevent this by brushing your hand/arm once after covering it in bronzer but before using the brush on your face) you're good to go! This bronzer is a great color, and has a truly awesome (and convincing!) tanning/shimmering effect on a large range of skin tones and colors. The price is a little steep I'll admit, but it lasts MONTHS, so it's definitely worth it! You get your $26.00 worth! The consultant was very helpful with which types of brushes worked best, and even stated that if I use it wet it would be darker (so for me, it's a NO NO). I love my pale skin in the clubs, while wearing awesome eye colors, but for everyday - this is amazing. March 11, 2013Not good on Fair Skin I bought this product and was disappointed by the color. I am not sure it looks way to orange on my skin does not seem to blend well for me. I had watched one of my favorite You tubers who recommended the product.
