Urban Defense There are days when I just don't want to wear a full face of cosmetics. Those days I reach for this. I have it in the medium shade, and it is a perfect match for my skin. I love how it feels on my skin, it isn't heavy, tacky, or sticky. It also lasts quite well on my oily skin and I find it really does help protect my skin from the elements. It blends very well, and I don't even bother with finishing powder, it doesn't seem to make me oilier, and it doesn't make my skin look greasier than it already is. Love it! I absolutely love this product. On days I don't really feel like wearing any makeup but know I need a little bit of coverage or just to even out my skin I just throw a little bit of this on my face and I'm out the door. Medium Coverage w/ Protection I tend to be one that does not go for heavy make-up, typically sticking with light powder. Recently, though, I was looking for something with a bit more coverage. I came across the tinted moisturizer and it was perfect. Applied over the primer, it was a perfect combination. Given how fair I am I was worried initially that it may be too dark even in Halo, but I think with primer it was perfect. It gave me just enough coverage and a perfect glow. Added SPF is the clincher. Again, with fair skin I am always cautious, and a medium coverage product with SPF 20 is just what I need. February 18, 2012
Better Apply Quickly This stuff is GREAT, I switched from YSL to UD b/c I love it so much... but God forbid I take my time applying the tinted moisturizer (which I use as foundation). It's a lot easier to apply with my fingertips, but I much prefer applying my foundation with a brush because it comes out so much smoother... but I have to be extremely quick with this moisturizer or it dries out before I'm finished, then it leaves my face looking smeared and splotchy. Which, quite frankly, is pretty darn ironic considering it's moisturizer. Maybe I have really dry skin. However, I've never had this problem with regular foundation (after applying "regular" moisturizer). Otherwise, I absolutely LOVE this foundation/tinted moisturizer. February 25, 2012
Porcelain I love this stuff, my skin is fair and doesn't have much blemish on it, but I still wanted something to give a nice clean look. I tried this other product that was also a tinted moisturizer and it was nice but if yes we sometimes don't mix it all the way it left nasty discolored spots on my face! So I bought this one out of impulse when I was buying an eye pencil from them and was so happy I did! It made my face look like a cute porcelain doll ( from I think it looks like ) and the coverage was amazing for a tinted moisturizer. It blends in amazing and great. Fight against the sun! I love this product. I've always liked using tinted moisturizers and BB creams more than foundation on a regular day because it normally feels lighter on my skin and looks more natural. When I was first introduced to Urban Decay, I loved everything instantly and made a promise to myself to at least try everything once (Its an ongoing project because I am a student!). I didn't purchase this the first time I tested it out, although it looked so great, I had already overspent and decided to wait. So 2 weeks later my sister came home with a bag of make up and inside I saw the Urban Defense Tinted Moisturizer! IN MY COLOR. I think I may have begged the entire night but by the next morning it was mine. So the next morning I opened it up and squeezed a generous amount and applied it all over my face. It glided on so easily! By the time I was done I looked like I had almost no make up on! It made me look so much fresher and evened out my skin-tone really well. I really like that it has SPF 20, so that keeps my skin protected from the sun when I'm out and about. I would definitely recommend this for fellow school students or anyone who wants to look naturally glowy. No one has to know its make up! April 20, 2012
Excellent first experience. I had never used a tinted moisturizer before thinking the product would be too light and 'non-existent' to do me any good, but friends recommended I should at least try it. Urban Decay has been fabulous. It goes on smoothly, just melting perfectly with my skin; color stays true, doesn't streak, doesn't travel requiring very little touch ups during the day. It does not give the coverage of a full foundation--I still needed to use a bit of concealer here and there--but it did even out my skin tone and leave a nice smooth texture and feel. I do use a setting powder or a light dusting of tinted powder as I prefer a more matte finish. This product is now a firm staple in my regimen. February 13, 2012
just an average tinted moisturizer Texture-wise, this TM really leans towards a foundation. However, the coverage really isn't as opaque as other TMs I've tried; it didn't cover any blemishes or correct any redness. This might be because the color is wrong for my skin, but it seemed like all it did was make me look more oily. I'm about an NC20-25 and I bought Halo during the summer when I was a bit darker and it was still too dark. I wore setting powder over it but it still felt like it didn't stick to my face well. Also, I found that water or occasional tears from yawning made this product very streaky on the cheeks - but it might just be my particular bottle. Either way, it just didn't seem worth the money that could be spent on a similarly priced, much better item. February 28, 2012
Didn't quite work for me Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to love this product, it had harsh effects on my skin. At first, I loved it! It's definitely light weight and perfect for summer days. I tried it for a week and suddenly my skin broke out in tiny blisters all over my cheeks, chin, and the sides of my forehead. I thought, surely this is from something else...but I haven't had a break out in months and the only new product I had been using was the UD Tinted Moisturizer. I stopped using the Tinted Moisturizer and immediately, my face began to clear. It took about a week for my skin to return to normal. Overall, I wouldn't use this product again because obviously, my skin cannot tolerate it, but that doesn't mean it won't work well for someone else. As I said before, I enjoyed the product before the allergic reaction or whatever it was. May 9, 2012
No more foundation! I always used to use a full coverage foundation; would not leave the house without it, even in the hot summer months. However, I decided to try this tinted moisturizer, and found that Forcefield is an excellent match for my skin. Usually most companies don't have a shade that matches my skin, but this is a perfect match. It's a sheer coverage, so I still have to cover my blemishes with concealer. To finish I use the Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup in Mirage, and I'm set! The most surprising thing to me was that I wore this same look to an amusement park....in Orlando...in the heat...and got sweaty, and splashed with water, and yet my makeup stayed intact, and looked great. Not once that day did I have to touch up my makeup. It feels a lot lighter than foundation on my skin, yet gives me the coverage I need. UD this one's a keeper. LOVE it to shreds!!! Super light with buildable coverage I first had a sample of this and it worked so well, when I found it in the vintage packaging at a discount I bought several. It evens my skintone without making my skin greasy. Works best when "dotted" on the face rather than applied in one go like other moisturizers would. Even with the high SPF it's a smooth texture, but if not applied immediately after skin regiment (cleansing or serums), it goes on rather dryly. I have both Forcefield and Bulletproof, and mixing the two for extra coverage in trouble spots works and blends well. January 31, 2012
Your best defense! Urban Defense is the best tinted moisturizer I have tried, and I've tried quite a few of them. I love using this on mornings when I work early and am in a hurry. It's pretty moisturizing, so you won't need an additional lotion for your face unless you're super dry. It gives a nice light coverage. Just enough to make you flawless! And I love that it has SPF! Terrible consistency for my skin I absolutely hated this product! I'm sure it would be much better for someone with dry or normal skin, but my oily skin reacted so terribly. Not only did it make my face extra oily, but it also made me break out! Not a good combo. Also, the coverage was so light. To die for! I bought this product on a whim after I saw it mentioned in a magazine; I thought it was a little expensive, but I took a chance. I am SO happy with it. I have a big face-shininess problem, and this product completely eliminated it. Use this in the a.m. when applying your make-up; put your make-up on over it. You can put this product OVER your make-up, too, but you will not get good results unless your make-up sets for like 15 minutes before you put on this product. You are guaranteed NO shine & a beautiful finish to your face. It's also available in a compact which I use for touch-ups during the day as needed, but it's really only for touch-ups; what you need is this product for sure. Tinted Moisturizer with SPF! More bang for the buck! I have some acne scarring, and even though it's a tinted moisturizer and not foundation, it worked for me like a foundation. I do not oppose to this at all, it 's more convenient for me this way! It does have a dewy finish, but since I have severely oily skin, I set it off with a powder and my face doesn't get as oily. Best tinted moisturizer! I've been using this for almost a month now and I have fallen in love. I hate the way that medium-full coverage foundations make my skin feel- not to mention any prolonged use usually makes my skin start to break out. I've tried a few tinted moisturizers from drugstore brands and loved the idea of them, but couldn't find one that worked well for me. After receiving a sample of Urban Defense, I immediately purchased it in halo. The color is a perfect match for my skin tone, the formula is far from heavy, and it leaves my skin looking fresh and dewy. I tend to wear this with the pore perfecting primer, but I also like wearing it on its own. It wears well all day and stays put. My New Must Have My old TM (different brand) was more liquidy than this one, so at first I was a little concerned this would break me out, or it was old. After a few uses, I much prefer this to my old one. It's a better match for my skintone, doesnt make me feel a little oily by the end of the day, and feels like it actually moisturizes better. My skin feels smoother after a few uses of this compared to months of my other one. It's also less streaky, and covers up little discolorations better. This has become a must in my mornig routine. This product is a life saver! I am addicted to this stuff! I have fair skin with pink undertones and use Halo. The coverage is better than any other tinted moisturizer I've ever tried and goes on so light it feels like you have nothing on. The SPF is great; I got a horrible sunburn last summer and my chest and shoulders ended up blistering, but my face stayed protected the entire time. I deff recommend this product to everyone. Excellent apply and go! Halo is the perfect match for my skin tone. This TM does have a bit more of a foundation like coverage than most I've tried. It's great for fast morning routines and it blends really well with my sunscreen for beach days which lightens up the coverage to what I would expect from most TM's. I use this product everyday! Halo I bought this in Halo & I'm so glad I did! I have used tinted moisturizers in the past that make your face oily & didn't provide much coverage. That's totally not the case with this! Two in one, can't lose! I love this product! Its super easy and fast, so its great if your like me and pressed for time in the mornings. It blends well and doesn't leave marks or streaks lines. After applying it I use just a little of the Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing powder to cover any oil there might be, the two work perfect together. I got it in the Halo shade, it was perfect for my skin tone but if you are very, very light or very, very fair Halo might be to dark. January 2, 2012
I'm in love! As someone who spends about 8 to 10 hours a day out in direct sunlight in the warm Florida summer months, I need something with sunscreen. And thanks to some less than desirable products used before this one, I need something that evens out my skin tone. This product definitely does that. Love it! I bought this product during the summer, so I got the shade Bodyguard because that's what matched me at the time. When it became winter and I lost my tan, I was so sad that I couldn't use it because it was too dark. But I loved this product so much that I purchased it in Halo so I wouldn't have to be without it. It's very easy to apply, it gives you a very light layer of coverage, and it makes your skin feel so soft and moisturized. Covers like a foundation, feels weightless! This tinted moisturizer is the real deal. I was unsure about them because I prefer fuller coverage, however I decided to give this one a try. I was so surprised at how well my skin "absorbs" it and I love how my face doesn't feel greasy or sticky like with competitor brands. Not good for my dry, fair skin As others have noted, I wanted to love this but it disappoints. It's true it isn't suited for my very dry, very fair skin, particularly as the weather cools. Though in some lights it looks lovely - after moisturizer and primer - it began to actually flake off by the end of the day, even with the Dew Me Spray, and left dry patches. Further, in some lights it really does look orange and you can see streaking. Sad. I won't buy it again or recommend it for dry/fair types, but I'll hang onto to it for a bit - perhaps it'll work out better in summer months? December 17, 2012

Best Tinted Moisturizer for Dewy Look! I'm half asian and half caucasian so it is really hard for me to find moisturizer or foundation that really matches my color, but Halo is great for me! I switched from Clinique because all of their tinted moisturizers were just too pink for my skin tone (I'm a pale olive beige#. My favorite thing about this product is the dewy finish. Although I normally wear foundation, this is my go to when I'm in a hurry #so basically always for work). It is also long-lasting. I'm a dental assistant and this stays all day even under the rubbing of my face mask. February 16, 2012
Great for a busy mom! I normally don't have a lot of time before I rush out the door so this tinted moisturizer is a blessing. I was hesitant to ever try one because I tend to break out when I use make-up but I haven't had any problems with this product. It is a light coverage that adds a little color to your face and provides SPF coverage, so if you have a noticeable blemish you'll need to dab on a little concealer. I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin since using this product, it looks better now than ever before. I highly recommend this to anyone!!! March 6, 2013

My New Must Have My old TM (different brand) was more liquidy than this one, so at first I was a little concerned this would break me out, or it was old. After a few uses, I much prefer this to my old one. It's a better match for my skintone, doesnt make me feel a little oily by the end of the day, and feels like it actually moisturizes better. My skin feels smoother after a few uses of this compared to months of my other one. It's also less streaky, and covers up little discolorations better. This has become a must in my mornig routine. This product is a life saver! I am addicted to this stuff! I have fair skin with pink undertones and use Halo. The coverage is better than any other tinted moisturizer I've ever tried and goes on so light it feels like you have nothing on. The SPF is great; I got a horrible sunburn last summer and my chest and shoulders ended up blistering, but my face stayed protected the entire time. I deff recommend this product to everyone. Excellent apply and go! Halo is the perfect match for my skin tone. This TM does have a bit more of a foundation like coverage than most I've tried. It's great for fast morning routines and it blends really well with my sunscreen for beach days which lightens up the coverage to what I would expect from most TM's. I use this product everyday! Halo I bought this in Halo & I'm so glad I did! I have used tinted moisturizers in the past that make your face oily & didn't provide much coverage. That's totally not the case with this! It's more of a foundation than a moisturizer. Even after a long day at work my skin isn't oily. I will repurchase when mine runs out. December 21, 2011
Two in one, can't lose! I love this product! Its super easy and fast, so its great if your like me and pressed for time in the mornings. It blends well and doesn't leave marks or streaks lines. After applying it I use just a little of the Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing powder to cover any oil there might be, the two work perfect together. I got it in the Halo shade, it was perfect for my skin tone but if you are very, very light or very, very fair Halo might be to dark. January 2, 2012
I'm in love! As someone who spends about 8 to 10 hours a day out in direct sunlight in the warm Florida summer months, I need something with sunscreen. And thanks to some less than desirable products used before this one, I need something that evens out my skin tone. This product definitely does that. Love it! I bought this product during the summer, so I got the shade Bodyguard because that's what matched me at the time. When it became winter and I lost my tan, I was so sad that I couldn't use it because it was too dark. But I loved this product so much that I purchased it in Halo so I wouldn't have to be without it. It's very easy to apply, it gives you a very light layer of coverage, and it makes your skin feel so soft and moisturized. Covers like a foundation, feels weightless! This tinted moisturizer is the real deal. I was unsure about them because I prefer fuller coverage, however I decided to give this one a try. I was so surprised at how well my skin "absorbs" it and I love how my face doesn't feel greasy or sticky like with competitor brands. The coverage is beautiful, it somehow manages to give a decent amount of coverage but still look very natural! I can't imagine my summer beach days without it! Thanks UD! July 27, 2011
Not good for my dry, fair skin As others have noted, I wanted to love this but it disappoints. It's true it isn't suited for my very dry, very fair skin, particularly as the weather cools. Though in some lights it looks lovely - after moisturizer and primer - it began to actually flake off by the end of the day, even with the Dew Me Spray, and left dry patches. Further, in some lights it really does look orange and you can see streaking. Sad. I won't buy it again or recommend it for dry/fair types, but I'll hang onto to it for a bit - perhaps it'll work out better in summer months? December 17, 2012

Best Tinted Moisturizer for Dewy Look! I'm half asian and half caucasian so it is really hard for me to find moisturizer or foundation that really matches my color, but Halo is great for me! I switched from Clinique because all of their tinted moisturizers were just too pink for my skin tone (I'm a pale olive beige#. My favorite thing about this product is the dewy finish. Although I normally wear foundation, this is my go to when I'm in a hurry #so basically always for work). It is also long-lasting. I'm a dental assistant and this stays all day even under the rubbing of my face mask. February 16, 2012
Great for a busy mom! I normally don't have a lot of time before I rush out the door so this tinted moisturizer is a blessing. I was hesitant to ever try one because I tend to break out when I use make-up but I haven't had any problems with this product. It is a light coverage that adds a little color to your face and provides SPF coverage, so if you have a noticeable blemish you'll need to dab on a little concealer. I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin since using this product, it looks better now than ever before. I highly recommend this to anyone!!! March 6, 2013
