February 19, 2012Great Light Coverage Moisturizer I don't use foundations because i have freckles on my face that I don't like to cover up. This is a great tinted moisturizer if you are looking for light coverage and SPF. I bought halo which I thought might be too dark but its actually lighter in real life than in the picture, however it works for a wide range of skin tones(my friends borrow it all the time) I apply this with concealer and bronzer and I'm done with my face makeup. There are a couple of cons however that are pretty minor. One is the price along with the small amount. I don't use very much so it is fine for me, but if you like to really pack on the product, this will only last a couple of months tops. The other thing is I noticed that if I don't apply evenly on my skin, the edges of the makeup turn slightly darker. All I do is make sure I use it all over my skin and that problem goes away. I could use a little more coverage, but it IS just a tinted moisturizer so thats expected. Otherwise, this tinted moisturizer covers up any redness and makes my skin feel smooth. I like the idea of wearing SPF everyday as well because I'm trying to preserve my skin while I'm still young! Anyway, if you like tinted moisturizers, get this stuff. Its great! I also couldn't find a shade that matched my skin tone. I use "Bodyguard" and it matches my skin perfectly. I mix a little of it with my daily moisturizer and it blends completely and smoothly, leaving my skin glowing and balanced. With this tinted moisturizer a little goes a long way! It's worth every penny. February 7, 2012Amazing This product is amazing and I use it all the time! It's very lightweight so it doesn't feel to heavy on your skin. It doesn't give coverage like a powder or cream foundation would do, but that because your buying a tinted moisturizer. It's perfect for what your buying and creates a smoother softer look on the face. It doesn't look oily on my skin and it is very easy to apply. You can just use your fingers and rub it in on your face, no need for a brush. February 12, 2012Summer Must-Have Boy howdy, it's been hot this year. My usual foundation has totally failed, and even my longwearing foundations can't take the heat without falling off. As a last ditch, I decided to turn to Urban Decay. The price is a bit steep for my personal tastes, but I'm the sort who generally thinks that if a product works, it's worth the money. Urban Defense works. This moisturizer is quite thick compared to others I've tried, so you do have to work at it a bit more than you'd probably expect, but that does translate to great coverage. At least, I have better coverage with this than any other tinted moisturizer. Also, it's really, very moisturizing. Some other brands I've tried just... simply fail on the softening front. In a world where the word "moisturize" is greatly misunderstood and abused, Urban Decay actually gets it. It touts a pretty nice SPF rating, too. I'm used to seeing SPF 15 out of tinted moisturizers, but Urban Defense has a rating of 20. Twenty! Two-Oh! Can't beat that with a stick. And to beat all, it has very great staying power in high heat and humidity. Blotting sweat from my face, I only got a small amount of transfer, and absolutely no smugding on my face. That's what it's all about. Worth the price? You bet. Buying again? Of course. Recommending to others? Absolutely. July 26, 2011something you have to try for ourself I bought this product on sale because I was looking for a new tinted moisturizer. The formula doesn't mix well with my skin, nor did it match my color. It made it look more pale, kind of ashy/ white-ish. I'm darker with a more warm undertone, sometimes peachy depending on the season. So this product didn't do my shade any justice. It comes on nicely, but there should be more variations of it to cover different skin tones & undertones. March 5, 2013a MUST!! This product is an amazing of malti tasking! It's SPF is high, so I don't really need additional sun screen, it moisturizes my face, a great "blush holder", serves as the perfect foundation, and provides the perfect amount of coverage. Not too much and not too little. I have the product in "Halo". One of the things I love most about this product is that there is never any orange streaking and it always keeps my blush looking fresh. February 25, 2012It just wasn't for me. I purchased this on sale in the vintage packaging. I bought Halo because I'm fair skinned but the color does not match my skin at all. It's a little bit darker than my skin tone and when I put it on it gives a weird yellowish tint to my skin. It also smelled HORRIBLE!! I'm not sure if they've changed the formula since its in new packaging so this may no longer be an issue. Aside from the smell and color, the texture of the product feels light and whipped. I tried to use this a couple of times alone and the product does feel light on your face. It has good coverage and is very buildable but you have to work quickly because it seems to dry really fast. I also like that it has a good amount of SPF in it as one of the primary reason I use a moisturizers is to protect my skin from the sun. I do still use this product and mix it with my current tinted moisturizer. When you mix it the smell isn't as noticeable and it matches my skin. I don't really need foundation but on days when I want more coverage I just mix this with my everyday tinted moisturizer. It only takes a little bit and even with both moisturizers mixed it doesn't feel heavy or cakey on my face. I'm still unsure if I would buy this product again after I use up both bottles that I purchased. It would be nice to see a wider color range and if the smell was gone I would definitely consider it. I can not wear makeup if I don't want to and still have beautiful looking skin. I was never able to do this before. I really recommend using this if you have problems with your skin. I use this every day under my powder foundation and it makes it last so much longer! Even after all day at work my skin is even and looks great. I've always hated normal foundation because it makes my face look fake and caked on. I'm one of those people that doesn't want to actually look like they're wearing any makeup. So this tinted moisturizer is perfect. It basically blends into the skin instead of sitting on top looking cakey. It leaves behind just enough color to even out the skin. If you have very uneven skin it might not work, but for someone like me its perfect. Just need to use a concealer pen to hide the pimples. Even though there's few color options, I seem to have gotten lucky and Halo looks perfect on me. I think it being a moisturizer vs foundation helps it to match skin color easier. I also have oily skin, so its great that it doesn't make my face feel greasy. The SPF 20 is an added bonus, just to make it 20% cooler. I have a huge stockpile and hope I never run out! January 31, 2012Not for me. This is maybe the ONE UD product I do not love. It goes on very shiny and feels greasy even after I set it with a powder. Also, I got it in Halo, the lightest shade, at the recommendation of a UD rep during a free makeover day at Ulta, and it is WAY too dark on my skin. Makes me look like an Oompa Loompa. It also lasts forever! One bottle has lasted me for nearly a year because you only need enough to cover the whole face. I wouldn't recommend using anything bigger than a pea size dot! The application is really nice and it doesn't feel oily or heavy. Really nice for the summer when you don't want to wear a ton of product. I do recommend wearing some powder with it because after 6 or so hours the oil shows, but then again I do have oily skin. Overall a good product for the money. Tip-set the t-zone with UD mattifying powder or all nighter spray for streak insurance. June 22, 2011"Halo" I use this as my BB When I need a bit more coverage than just my normal moisturizer-only look, I use this. It evens out my skin tone, helps cover some problem spots, adds a bit of extra moisture and I definitely use it when I'm expecting to be out in the sun for a few minutes. In my experience it holds up really well in the summer in Arizona and in California. It lasts through the humidity, the heat, and the sweat when working out. It is lightweight and goes on smoothly. "Halo" was too dark and too yellow for my fair skin (nearly all foundations and tinted moisturizers are). This is the only tinted moisturizer I've used that didn't make me break out or have itchy skin. I have quite fair and quite sensitive skin, and it has been fantastic for me. It evens out my skin tone perfectly and feels like I am bare-faced all day. I've even been able to use just this and a bit of mascara and gone about my day. Just wish it came in a larger bottle. It's super moisturizing, I usually use a different moisturizer under my tinted ones, but for this I don't have to! It blends into my skin very nicely, considering I was a bit off on color guessing. It provides just enough coverage because I don't have much problem skin, just dry. My skin looks so dewy and fresh after using! February 2, 2012No Quite What I Had Expected When I purchased this product I was expecting a moisturizer with a little bit of tint to it. What I got was a light coverage foundation. It's good, though I wish there was more of a colour range and that it hydrated my skin. I'm super fair with pinky undertones and Halo is almost too yellow for me. It's good when I'm in a hurry and don't have time for full foundation. February 7, 2012Dewey finish but needs more color options I am irish so im naturally fair, and i don't like going out in the sun allot but i purchased the lightest shade which is halo, and when i apply it it goes on smoothly but after about 10 minutes i found that it settles to a orangey finish on my pale skin. I love the way it applies though because it really brings life to my skin when i am feeling more on the dry side. February 8, 2012My favorite tinted moisturizer I have this tinted moisturizer in the old packaging because I bought a new one just before the new one came out. I sill love it. In my experience it holds up really well in the summer in Arizona and in California. It lasts through the humidity, the heat, and the sweat when working out. It is lightweight and goes on smoothly. Another plus is that it has a SPF of 20. August 2, 2011Nice, but more color options are needed. "Halo" was too dark and too yellow for my fair skin (nearly all foundations and tinted moisturizers are). I can mix it with other moisturizers to get the right shade, but I wanted to use this on days when I didn't have much time for makeup, so it didn't work out for me.
