Great for a busy mom! I normally don't have a lot of time before I rush out the door so this tinted moisturizer is a blessing. I was hesitant to ever try one because I tend to break out when I use make-up but I haven't had any problems with this product. It is a light coverage that adds a little color to your face and provides SPF coverage, so if you have a noticeable blemish you'll need to dab on a little concealer. I have noticed a significant improvement in my skin since using this product, it looks better now than ever before. I highly recommend this to anyone!!! March 6, 2013
everyday makeup trick i don't think that this is quite moisturizing enough, but that's because it's winter and i have super thirsty skin year-round. i normally use two moisturizers anyway, so instead of one i apply this on top. i especially like that it has sun protection. the coverage is super light but makes me feel confident about not having any patchiness, redness, or dark under-eye circles. i definitely recommend this. the formula that people are describing as greasy in other reviews is actually, in my opinion, leaves a dewy finish that looks healthy and glowy. Not for me I have two shades in the old packaging. These just didn't work well for me at all. Neither shade worked well for my skin tone. They made me look a little orange. I also felt like they were very drying, which is not what I expect for a tinted moisturizer. They gave a decent bit of coverage though for being a tinted moisturizer. I have played around with both shades and find that if I mix some of my daily face moisturizer in with them, I don't appear so orange in color. I will have to give them another try during the summer maybe when I have a bit more color and see if maybe they don't work better. I do like that they have a pump, but mine gets clogged a lot. I wouldn't buy this again though unless a new formula was developed and more colors were added. February 8, 2012
3 in 1: Moisturize, SPF and Coverage Bought it this weekend...I love it and made my friend buy it too. The best thing about the UD tinted moisturizer is that it comes in so many shades. I'm more of a medium skin with yellow undertones and the bulletproof shade was great for me. She has more red undertones and the forcefield shade covered it all up without looking heavy. Amazing This is the best stuff ever. I lasts all day, gives light sheer coverage and moisturizes nicely. I probably would not use it in the winter when more moisture is needed, but for this time of year it is awesome. I would like to say for those who struggled with it, try using a slightly damp makeup sponge and apply it. It works nice that way too. February 17, 2012
Best Tinted Moisturizer Ever! I bought this in Halo recently from HauteLook with the old packaging. I worked at Ulta for 3 years, and have tried many a tinted moisturizer. Believe me; they aren't all amazing, but Urban Decay's moisturizer IS. My face jumped for joy the first day I had it on, and said "Wow, I look smooth and even." Today is the second day I've worn the moisturizer in the Halo shade, and my face said "No more foundation, I look great. I can't even see the redness that I have when there's no makeup on me." A little TOO pigmented For a tinted moisturizer, that is. I love it because I can mix it with some Aveeno and get this party started, but I gave my mom some for Christmas and she told me "all I see when I look in the mirror is that I'm wearing makeup." It's definitely on the foundation-y side of tinted moisturizers. And you'll want to mix it with some actual face lotion, since I don't think it really moisturizes all that much. Lovely Tinted Moisturizer! Urban Decay's tinted moisturizer is my go-to makeup. Since I normally have little to no blemishes, save a little redness around the nose and forehead, Urban Defense has just the right amount of coverage. It feels incredibly light, and applies beautifully. It doesn't weigh down my face, or clog my pores like a traditional foundation does, and when I use a bit of powder, I get the same finished look. I must warn you though-- try to keep it away from your eyes, because it will cause irritation or stinging. But, so long as one is careful about application, there is no need to worry! The Urban Defense is also definitely my first choice for face makeup when traveling, because of the defense and hydration it offers. It's also great for light coverage during school and work! Love it! Make sure to test in store I love this stuff, but the colors can be pretty varied if you're super fair skinned. I bought this in the summer when I didn't even look like I had a tan, and then I dropped a shade somehow. Not UD's fault, but something to keep in mind when you purchase. I recommend going to a store and trying samples, OR buying the tinted defense that's bring phased out as a "tester" of sorts to find your color (if they have it). The consistency is not too thick, but not liquid like a foundation. It's almost creamy, which I like because it helps me know where I've applied it evenly. You do need to wait for it to dry a little longer than thinner products, but I think the creamy consistency makes it look more flawless when it sets. No oxidation that I can tell when worn for a while. January 17, 2012

I'm extremely new to makeup and I had a terrible experience with a different brand of tinted moisturizer (the color matched when I put it on and got progressively darker throughout the day). Love this stuff, as always. I love this stuff, much like many other UD products. I bought it in the lightest shade. I like to use it during the winter because the area around my mouth becomes really dry (we have a wood stove) and it helps without being too greasy like lotion usually would be for me. The Best Tinted Moisturizer Forcefield tinted moisturizer has changed my skin. I use to break out from tinted moisturizer but this has changed my skin. I no longer break out and my skin has improved. Halo makes my skin glow I have hyper sensitive skin so when a co-worker recommended UD's Urban Defense, I decided to give it a try, especially since it was on sale. I was really pleased to find a tinted moisturizer that evened out my skin tone and made my skin really glow. I've never been a fan of heavy foundation and concealers so UD provides a good combination of light coverage, SPF and moisturizer all in one. My summertime foundation Easy to apply and blend into face. I like that this is such a light coverage, because in the summer I need an SPF and a little foundation. This seems to melt into my skin, and almost adjusts to my skin tone. I'm quite fair, but get a little sun in the summer - and I don't find that I have to change shades at all. Fantastic! I was hesitant about buying a tinted moisturizer off of the internet, and the lack of variety in colors worried me because my skin is light with olive undertones and is hard to match, but when I put it on, it matched perfectly! I bought it on clearance in the pump, so I usually put less than half a pump on the back of my hand, and stipple it on my face. It can get a little thick if it's stored in a cold room, so be sure to keep it in an area that's around room temperature. It gives really great coverage--not too thin and not too thick, and if you want to put a finishing powder on top, it won't look like you face-planted in cake. Even though it's a tinted moisturizer, it doesn't really moisturize. It's more of a foundation in my opinion. The good thing about that is that it lasts all day. January 31, 2012

Amazing moisturizer with sheer coverage This is by far, the best tinted moisturizer I have tried, and the most moisturizing. It moisturizes the skin without leaving it greasy or slick and adds just a sheer, barely there amount of coverage. Because the coverage is so sheer, I can actually wear this underneath of my foundation as a moisturizer without it looking too cakey. One of the Best Tinted Moisturizers Out There!!! I picked up my tube of UD Urban Defense a few months ago, just in time for summer. I apply it every day instead of doing my normal routine of concealer, foundation, powder and all of those things that just sweats off in the heat anyway. Let me start off by saying this is a very HYDRATING moisturizer and I've noticed I don't have to layer it with my regular moisturizer underneath. I bought it in the Bodyguard shade and it matches my skin perfectly, even when I was on the pale side. When I applied it the frist time I tried to use a foundation brush but that didn't turn out well so I just use my hands. It's not orangey so you won't look like an oompa-loompa. It gives you the perfect summer glow. This also has spf 20 so I don't have to worry about putting sunblock on my face. It's an overall great product! :) August 3, 2011
Good tinted moisturizer.... I think the only downside I have with this is the fact that it sinks in really fast. So fast I barely time to blend it it in well. I guess in a way that's both an up and downside. Everyone want's a moisturizer that doesn't leave you're skin feeling greasy and sinks in fast, but I also don't want it to sink in so fast it's hard to blend. Given that, I do really like it. Never be a "Cake face" again! This is hands down the best foundation I've ever used! You may have a few misconceptions about the fact that there is only a few shades but no worries. When I first purchased this foundatin I was a little worried at the fact that it wouldn't match my skin tone because there wasn't a wide variety of shades. But in the end it matches PERFECTLY to my skin color. People are amazed and shocked when I tell them I have on foundation. It gives you full coverage but also lightweight. So you never have to worry about packing on the product and having a "cake face". The coverage is so effect that I barely ever have to use my concealer afterwards. A great moisturizer! Every girl needs a tinted moisturizer. Those days when it's too hot, or when you don't feel like wearing foundation or powder, this is a great product for that. It contains SPF 20 which is a must and is paraben free. I have one in Halo and Bodyguard, sometimes I mix the two depending on the time of year. They are lightweight, non-greasy, and they cover small imperfections. It lasts all day for me and sometimes I finish it with a sheer powder to take away any shine. It doesn't provide ultimate coverage all over the face, because it's tinted. The only concern I have for this product is that it only comes in four shades. I was lucky enough to find my shade. This tinted moisturizer is not for everyone due to the shades. I recommend going to Sephora to see if any of these shades are appropriate for your skin tone. July 27, 2011
Review on Old packaging. I bought this on sale. Always wanted to try. This product was too sticky for me, did not blend well. Had to keep wetting my hands to get it to glide on my face. I bought in a few different colors to match, some colors smelled worse than the others. I liked the SPF but some colors had the sunscreen smell which was awful sitting on my face. Not enough color selection to match, had to mix diff color combos. Not a product I would purchase again. Does not live up to the UD name. January 31, 2012

A must have I love this product it goes on evenly and easily with both a brush or a sponge. It looks natural and is very light, not greasy at all, but it doesnt dry my skin either. I have pretty fair skin and can burn just from taking my dog for a walk, so I really appreciate any product with SPF already in it so I don't need to mess up my make up trying to put sun screen on. The only bad news is that I'm almost out, I really can' t find anything bad to say about urban defense. March 13, 2013

A must have I love this product it goes on evenly and easily with both a brush or a sponge. It looks natural and is very light, not greasy at all, but it doesnt dry my skin either. I have pretty fair skin and can burn just from taking my dog for a walk, so I really appreciate any product with SPF already in it so I don't need to mess up my make up trying to put sun screen on. The only bad news is that I'm almost out, I really can' t find anything bad to say about urban defense. March 13, 2013
