Loving the new formula!
Love this new palette! All the colors look great together and are perfect for smokey eyes. I'm loving evidence and loaded, its great finally having deep colors other that blacks, browns, and purples for a smokey eye
As for the shadows themselves, they are just as pigmented and long lasting as the originals, but they go on a lot smoother and I have noticed a lot less fallout while using them. Also, I compared the new formula mushroom and rockstar to the original and there is no difference in color.

Great palette
This was my first Urban Decay purchase in quite some time, and I'm impressed! The colors are great. I stopped wearing makeup a few years ago, so the book made it really easy to know what I was doing. Now, I have been wearing the colors from this palette nearly everyday! The only downside about this is that I thought Loaded would have shown up a bit more green. However, it turns nearly black on my eyelid even after using the primer potion. However, the other pros severely outweigh the one minor con.

I LOVE that it has a range of shades and hues--- shimmers and mattes --unlike the Black Out palette--which has it's own specialness, but is not the Second Coming or is this the Third Coming? ---like this palette may be....... The range of shades in this AWESOMELY packaged!! palette makes it much more versatile like the humm???.......Naked palettes, of course! Those who do not think it is smokey enough perhaps did not read the write up or look at a close up of the colors in the palette. Smokey is in the application, not necessarily the color itself....and there is always the Build it Yourself P. if you have a dream P'ette---I dreamed and created one and will continue to add but LOVE this "pre-made" palette.

I absolutely LOVE this palette. It has the basic smokey eye colors WITH some gorgeous jem toned colors! I really like how they recognize the fact that a smokey eye doesn't just have to be silver and black!

This pallet is absolutely my all time favorite! It's the first one I've gotten from UD and it has definitely left me with plans to purchase many more from them! It blends so well and the pigmentation is beautiful! MUST HAVE.

Great concept, a palette for almost everyone
The smokey eye is such a staple, how could this not be a hit? I've been searching high and low for beautiful jewel tones like these, so this palette just about hit the bulls-eye for me. A great mix of neutrals and colors. My only complaint is that the palette leans heavily warm-toned, and I do not. I would have loved to see a blue-based silver in here (like Strip or Mary Jane!) just to round out the palette - or replace Rockstar with Frigid or Freakshow for a more universal purple.
The eyeliner is a perfect choice - Perversion is deep matte black and smudges/blends beautifully, more so than Zero, for sure.
The lookbook is fantastic - detailed steps and multiple looks for any occasion.
All in all, $50 for 10 full size shadows, a full size 24/7 liner and a travel size primer? Can't beat that!

Great Product.. but not what it seems..
I'm new to the whole smokey eye, usually I prefer a neutral/natural eye, but really wanted something dramatic when going out. I bought this palette based on the reviews I had read and it really lived up to that. Except the for the jewel tones. They look amazing in the palette but once on your eye they could appear almost black. The colour rockstar was a bit of a disappointed as it didn't translate well from the palette to your face. The jewel purple tone didn't really show through, and I have pale skin. Overall though the palette does offer some beautiful smokey eyes, helpful to create with the booklet inside. The quality of the makeup is true to urban decay and glides right on. It is very heavily pigmented and if you're a new to dark bold colours like myself the application can be a bit tricky.

Amazing!!!!!!
This palette has amazing colors. I also have the UD Naked palette and I'm also in love with that. What I love about UD shadows besides the great colors is that they're highly pigmented. You can achieve a professional look at home with minimum effort. The colors are easy to blend and every look that you are doing ends up looking effortless. Since I began using UD shadows everyone is talking about my makeup and how great it is and that just only feeds my obsession with the UD products.

Great gift for the makeup fanatic you know, or yourself.
My husband sees me checking out whatever's new on this site a lot. Back in October he surprised me with this palette as a random present (and the smoked eye pencil set). It was a great pick! I've been trying out different eye looks and this was a great way to start with something other than just color on the base of my lid, the crease, and a black line on my upper lashline. It comes with a booklet that has a dozen different looks and uses all the colors in the palette. I do agree with an earlier review that said it's best for nighttime since the colors are a little too dark for the day (except barlust and mushroom). My only complaint is that loaded went on darker than I thought, and backdoor looked like a mild black when put on. So be easy on your application and put more on to be as dark as you want.

The perfect mix of neutral and dramatic!
So I've had other smokey eye palettes. And they're basically just the same colour in three different shades - BORING. This palette lets me get CREATIVE. If I want something toned down and neutral, the incredibly creamy mattes do great, and the gorgeous jewel tones add colour to any smokey eye look I'd want to make.
As usual, the colours are highly pigmented, the texture is creamy, and the shades last FOREVER, especially when used with the UD eyeshadow primer potion that that this palette includes; but what i like best is the diversity and richness of the colours in the second row of the palette. Rockstar, Loaded and Evidence are my absolute favourite, and they're great for going all-out on the lid or just a swipe of colour under the eye for a slightly more toned down and elegant look, and can be used with a thin wet brush instead of eyeliner, which makes this palette incredibly versatile.
The fact that it comes with Perversion (the ultimate black eyeliner pencil) and eyeshadow primer potion )which I wear whenever I need to make my makeup last all night) is just icing on an already delicious cake. Keep it up UD!

NOT SMOKEY COLORS!
So upset! I wanted this palette to be a true smoked version of the nudes. I wanted basically shades of gray, blacks and some blending shades. However, its basically the Black palette revisited. THe colors are pretty for sure but not as a smokey type of palette.

I am a smokey eye guru, so this was an answer to my makeup dreams!! There isnt enough good things that could be said about smoked!! I absolutely love it!!! Perfect addition to makeup collection
UD palettes are amazing value. The colours included in this one are complimentary to all skin tones and can be used for a huge variety of looks. The smokey eye is definitely here to stay, and these colours are versatile enough to be used in all seasons and in combination with many other colours. Quality is superb, as always from UD, and the shadows last all day long. I have actually returned other eyeshadow palettes from high end brands because UD quality is so much better!

Casing of this palette is sleek and excellent, very light weight and useful especially when your in travel. Each eyeshadows are pigmented, small amount can give you the look you are wishing for. This palette is amazing. It has amazing colors and is cute and compact to put in your little makeup bag and has a holder for your eyeliner. The colors are so pigmented and do not crease at all. There are shades for a day time and a night time look which I love. I also love that there is a mix between mattes, jewel tones, and shimmers. Not just all one texture. They all blend really well and the little booklet showing you some looks to try comes in handy for beginners.

this product has a lot of variation
This smokey eye palette is really great because it has all the colors which fits to any eyecolor. The other thing what i really like is that you can create a subtle smokey upto a dramatic smokey eye. You also can bring in some color to achieve a unique smokey with the green/blue or purple eyeshadow.
And since the packaging is "travelingfriendly", because it has a zipper and soft cover, you can just toss it into your bag without worrying the eyeshadows might break.

LOVE it!
I have a hard time figuring out what's my favorite palette from UD this or one of the NAKED ones! I love this palette like all other UD palettes you get amazing pigmentation. The jewel toned colors are gorgeous and you get a few matte shades. This is meant to be a smokey eye palette but you can also get some day/work looks too. I'm not super crazy about the zipper packaging but it is cute and doesn't take from the product itself! You can't go wrong with UD shadows!

Truly smokey colors, with great matte highlighter shades
I didn't think another palette could live up to my expectations after my experience with the Naked palette. I was wrong. If you're interested in doing smoked-out eyes, look no further. These colors pack something extra: it really is almost as if each tone has been mixed with ash. What looks in the pan like beautiful emerald, amethyst, and sapphire colors show intense black/grey smokiness on the skin. These aren't just jewel tones. They have been drenched with smoke, and that makes them very different from any other colors in your makeup bag. The amount of pigment is amazing: a tiny touch of the Backdoor on an angle brush, and I've got a cut crease like you can't believe. And the matte highlights are a wonderful compliment to any look - for my pale skin, they match or are just a bit lighter than my natural skin color and let me get a smooth, clean look under the brow bone without adding shimmer. I go to these highlights rather than those in my Naked Palette sometimes, just to get a matte look. The Perversion liner is the perfect addition to this set - it's deep black without the hint of shimmer you get from Zero. Perfect for truly smoked-out eyes. This is a super great set that I'm excited to work with more!

Amazing palette
Just like all the other UD eyeshadows and palettes, I love the quality! When I first got this, the colors kind of turned me away but after playing with it and putting new looks together, it's now my go-to nighttime palette. The colors in this aren't ones that I expected to go with a smokey eye but they all look amazing if you pair them correctly. The pigmentation is so good that I need to be a little light handed when applying them. I absolutely love this palette

I do smoky eyes all the time, so when I found out about the Smoked palette, I was excited. I got it yesterday, and I love it! The only color I already had was Blackout, so it was a great addition to my UD collection. The eyeliner is amazing, but I think the look book was unnecessary. I would have personally rather have had a brush or a lipgloss. But the colors are great, easy to blend, very pigmented, and fun to play with to create my own take on a smoky eye. (:

Excellent Palette
I got this palette as birthday gift from my husband and was so excited to play with it! The first thing that caught my eye was the packing. I love the zippered case! I also love the color selection in this palette which makes it super easy to create subtle daytime looks to even more dramatic nighttime looks. The pigmentation is the same as all of UD's other eyeshadows...amazing! This would probably be the one and only palette I'd need if I were to go on a trip.

This is my go-to UD favorite palette
I was sold on the Smoked palette on presentation alone. It's a nice, pretty case, with a zippered closure and that makes me happy. Add in the Perversion pencil? AWESOME.
Second best selling point: the little booklet that comes with, detailing step by step instructions on how to get each look. These instructions were so easy to follow!!!
The next best selling point? I ended up in tears - massive, blubbering, rolling tears, not 15 minutes after I first tried this palette - and my makeup, it STAYED completely in place. My mascara ran (it was not UD), but a little dabbing, and there was not a change at all in the shadow or liner. OMG, sign me up, I was so impressed, I haven't used another makeup since.
The colors are fun and the pigment really has awesome staying power. If you're going to get a palette, definitely get Smoked.

A Perfect Palette
UD has certainly risen to the occasion with this palette. As usual, the pigmentation, quality, and ease of use of the products are top notch. Now, let's get into specifics.
There are so many colors! Most smokey eye palettes that I've encountered maybe have 2. It's really very exciting to be able to create a colored smokey eye, and there are colors that suit every eye color as well. You get a full size of the Perversion 24/7 eyeliner, which accompanies the shadows perfectly. Also, you are able to create a natural look for the office with this palette, which is great because you don't need to have multiple palettes to go from day to night.
The booklet is not only beautifully illustrated, but completely explains how to achieve each look. There are some unique looks in there along with some of the more classic looks. The instructions are very easy to follow, but if you have trouble understanding some of the techniques, there's a glossary in the back explaining them in further detail, which is always nice. The book also recommends dramatic lashes, which I wholeheartedly agree with, as well as a neutral lip.
I think this is probably the perfect smokey eye palette. Honestly, I can't find anything wrong with it. So, thanks UD, for keeping up the amazing work!

I highly recommend this product for the PERFECT smokey eye!
I love this palette it is very easy for me to create a perfect smokey eye! With the high quality shadows the pigment goes on the way the color should look. You can also create other looks if smokey eye isn't your thing. I've created a natural looking eye with this. Date night looks. The possibilites are endless. It also comes with the eyeshadow primer potion which is the BEST primer ever in my opinion and the 24/7 eyeliner which I use to create my "wing".

Just like all the other UD eyeshadows and palettes, I love the quality! When I first got this, the colors kind of turned me away but after playing with it and putting new looks together, it's now my go-to nighttime palette. The colors in this aren't ones that I expected to go with a smokey eye but they all look amazing if you pair them correctly. The pigmentation is so good that I need to be a little light handed when applying them. I absolutely love this palette

I do smoky eyes all the time, so when I found out about the Smoked palette, I was excited. I got it yesterday, and I love it! The only color I already had was Blackout, so it was a great addition to my UD collection. The eyeliner is amazing, but I think the look book was unnecessary. I would have personally rather have had a brush or a lipgloss. But the colors are great, easy to blend, very pigmented, and fun to play with to create my own take on a smoky eye. (:

Excellent Palette
I got this palette as birthday gift from my husband and was so excited to play with it! The first thing that caught my eye was the packing. I love the zippered case! I also love the color selection in this palette which makes it super easy to create subtle daytime looks to even more dramatic nighttime looks. The pigmentation is the same as all of UD's other eyeshadows...amazing! This would probably be the one and only palette I'd need if I were to go on a trip.

This is my go-to UD favorite palette
I was sold on the Smoked palette on presentation alone. It's a nice, pretty case, with a zippered closure and that makes me happy. Add in the Perversion pencil? AWESOME.
Second best selling point: the little booklet that comes with, detailing step by step instructions on how to get each look. These instructions were so easy to follow!!!
The next best selling point? I ended up in tears - massive, blubbering, rolling tears, not 15 minutes after I first tried this palette - and my makeup, it STAYED completely in place. My mascara ran (it was not UD), but a little dabbing, and there was not a change at all in the shadow or liner. OMG, sign me up, I was so impressed, I haven't used another makeup since.
The colors are fun and the pigment really has awesome staying power. If you're going to get a palette, definitely get Smoked.

A Perfect Palette
UD has certainly risen to the occasion with this palette. As usual, the pigmentation, quality, and ease of use of the products are top notch. Now, let's get into specifics.
There are so many colors! Most smokey eye palettes that I've encountered maybe have 2. It's really very exciting to be able to create a colored smokey eye, and there are colors that suit every eye color as well. You get a full size of the Perversion 24/7 eyeliner, which accompanies the shadows perfectly. Also, you are able to create a natural look for the office with this palette, which is great because you don't need to have multiple palettes to go from day to night.
The booklet is not only beautifully illustrated, but completely explains how to achieve each look. There are some unique looks in there along with some of the more classic looks. The instructions are very easy to follow, but if you have trouble understanding some of the techniques, there's a glossary in the back explaining them in further detail, which is always nice. The book also recommends dramatic lashes, which I wholeheartedly agree with, as well as a neutral lip.
I think this is probably the perfect smokey eye palette. Honestly, I can't find anything wrong with it. So, thanks UD, for keeping up the amazing work!

I highly recommend this product for the PERFECT smokey eye!
I love this palette it is very easy for me to create a perfect smokey eye! With the high quality shadows the pigment goes on the way the color should look. You can also create other looks if smokey eye isn't your thing. I've created a natural looking eye with this. Date night looks. The possibilites are endless. It also comes with the eyeshadow primer potion which is the BEST primer ever in my opinion and the 24/7 eyeliner which I use to create my "wing".
