I received my product in October and have been a happy camper ever since. I apply the product with the Good Karma blurring brush and the results are incredible. I was hesitant to pay a brush I considered $$ but seriously, the results are worth it. My skin tends to be dry and a bit itchy in the winter and this product didn't irritate it at all, in fact it even seemed to help keep my face hydrated. There are so many colors to choose from, if you're not sure go ahead and order what you think is best, UD customer service was awesome at letting me exchange my color for a different one. I have dark hair/eyes with a medium skin tone that tans easily. I am white/Asian (Filipino) and Naked 5.5 is a perfect match for my non summer color. March 7, 2013My everyday foundation! I've been searching the perfect foundation for my superfair complexion for such a long time. Then, I went to Sephora's counter in Paris Champes Elysées and tried it for the first time. What can I say if not "it's gorgeous"? It lasts all day, it helps to reduce my redness on my cheeks (I have couperose), it makes my skin less oily than usual and it's not too harsh on my sensitive parts. It applies so creamily and it is so weightless that you don't even feel like you are wearing any foundation! The coverage is fairly good but I do find myself having to apply some concealer before applying the foundation just so I can get the desired coverage. However, a little goes a long way with this foundation! The size of the bottle is very convenient for travel too! This is definitely a must have from Urban Decay! March 12, 2013The perfect foundation I've never been one to spend a ton of money on makeup, I really only wear it on the weekends, so the drugstore kind was always fine with me. Until I discovered UD. I used to keep several different drugstore brands, some were light coverage, some were heavy coverage, depending on my needs that day. Sometimes I even resorted to mixing them together to get that in between coverage. No more! This foundation is perfect, it gives me the coverage I need without looking or feeling cakey and thick. The shade selections are vast, so it's almost impossible that they don't have yours. I am VERY fair, so it's hard to find something that doesn't make me look like a ghost or like I've spread nutella on my face. From the first time I put this on, I immediately threw out all my old drugstore makeup and now pretty much everything in my collection is UD. March 5, 2013FINALLY found a new foundation! My old go-to brand changed their foundation shades, so I was forced to find something to replace it...I am so glad I did! This foundation is the PERFECT match to my skin! It goes on smoothly, offers buildable coverage, and has a very natural finish. I usually use a sponge or my fingers to apply it and it looks fine, but a brush leaves the best finish...that will be my next purchase ;) I will be using this product for a long time to come! Love it!!! March 5, 2013Dopest Foundation Out There! Yes it's like forty bux, but who cares? One bottle of this will last you almost a whole freakin' year. Also it matches so well to your skin tone. I was shocked that I'm a 2.0 in this because I am pretty dang pale. But yeah. Spreads really easily, and I have used both my (clean) fingers and my Good Karma Optical brush for methods of application and both go on well. The good karma brush is flippin' fantastic in and of itself, but when paired with this foundation, prepare to looked airbrushed, or at least have good, even, natural looking coverage. It is a tad thinner than other foundations I have tried so if you have LOTS of acne/scarring, be careful. Whenever I get the rare abscess on my face, this does little to hide it. Just saying. But seriously one of the best makeup products I have ever used in my brief 24 years on this planet. O___O; March 7, 2013Perfect Makeup at last! I was wearing a mineral powder makeup but not totally happy with it when I discovered the new Naked makeup. Most liquid makeups feel heavy or greasy and I have a hard time finding one I like made by a company that does not animal test.. I sampled this at Ulta and loved the feel and coverage. I apply it with the Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush and it looks really natural with great coverage. It lasts all day on me without getting greasy or shiny. March 6, 2013Perfect for oily skin that breaks out I have found that this foundation covers and blends well without irritating my skin or clogging my pores. My t-zone doesn't feel greasy halfway through my day and I can often skip concealer when I use my moisturizing primer first. I can also skip my powder and go straight to the deslick setting spray. Since this blends so well, I have found that I need less product when applied with a stippling brush, so I rarely need a full pump of this product. December 26, 2012My absolute go-to everyday foundation I adore Naked Skin. Easy to apply, dries down, completely weightless. It covers the natural redness I have around my nose and chin and I barely need any concealer at all, just under my eyes really. Because I'm a little shiny, I use the All Nighter setting spray to keep it in place all day, but that's it really. I just love it to death. I use it on guests at work constantly, it's the first things I go to when someones wants a step up from powder. March 7, 2013not for oily skin I couldn't use this product. It goes on nicely--natural finish and not cakey. But it didn't give enough coverage for me. It left a dewy finish, which I know some like, but just makes me feel oily. It felt a little greasy on my skin. Worse, it not only didn't control oil, it seemed to amp up my oil production. After a few hours, I was an oil slick and the foundation was melting off my face. Probably great for dry skin, but definitely not for me. March 5, 2013Nice and light I like this foundation. I used the urban decay new blurring brush that it was made for. Really nice light foundation. Airy and felt good on my skin. I believe it has light coverage. Just felt airy and my skin look airbrush look when I used the matching urban decay brush with it. I think the name describes it all. Naked. I feel like I am not wearing much make up with it but light and airy and smooths imperfections, looks good too under the sun. August 16, 2012Perfect! I don't normally like foundation - I don't like the way it feels on my skin and I don't like the way it looks on me, especially in pictures. The Naked Skin Foundation is nothing like this. Urban Decay isn't lying when they describe it as "weightless". I can barely see or feel the foundation on my face, but yet my skin looks absolutely beautiful. The first time I put it on, I wondered if I was just rubbing air onto my skin. It blends so perfectly with my very fair skin, which surprises me to no end. The coverage is good too, I only had to conceal very minor areas after applying, which is way less than normal. I also have combo skin, and when used with an oil control primer it lasts all day, and I'm not gross and greasy two hours after applying, which is awesome. The consistency is watery, which for me made it easy to spread and blend versus a thick or creamy foundation. All in all, I really like this! August 7, 2012Flawless skin in a bottle. This foundation is lightweight, easy to apply and generally a dream to work with. As I am naturally very fair I use shade 2.0 which provides me with excellent coverage. I also got the 'Optical Blurring Brush'. Not a requirement but highly recommended! My only word of caution about this foundation is make sure you shake the bottle first for the best results. This is most definitely a product I would, and have recommend to family and friends. August 8, 2012Almost as if I had no makeup on! This is a great product to use. The shade matches perfectly against my skin and with the numerous shades offered, there is probably one that would fit anyone. What I especially like about the Naked foundation is that it helped cover some small acne scars I still have, without the aid of concealer. The foundation left a smooth appearance on my skin and stayed that way through out the whole night dancing. I honestly love how it makes me look, March 5, 2013good clean coverage without the plastic barbie look I tried this foundation and loved how it didn't feel thick or greasy. It went on super smooth and made it look like I wasn't wearing any foundation at all (I hate the thick, caked up look). Unfortunately for me, I have combination skin and it didn't hold up for me throughout the day. I'm considering trying the beauty balm or another product that will work with my oily skin. If you have dry to normal skin, I think this will be fine for you. March 5, 2013Liquidy goodness I went into this product blind... I never saw in the stores or knew anyone that used this so when this first came out I took a risk and bought it and guessed what color I am. Luckily it was the right shade when I first tested it out of the box. It's VERY liquidy which I wasn't used to or aware of (but really, it does says ULTRA liquid, that should've been a giveaway when I read the box) I have to use a slight bit more than the MAC one I used to use but the coverage is much smoother and it goes on easier and blends quicker. I use this in combination with my 24/7 concealer and it's AWESOME. If you want good yet light/weightless coverage, this is your primer. I tried it with the beauty balm sample that came with this shipment and I think you could easily use this with or without the beauty balm. Overall, I love it for my everyday makeup application! March 12, 2013Great Coverage, Light, Blends Well This foundation is so light and it's easy to forget that you're wearing it! It's completely unlike some of those typical heavy, cakey foundations found in most drugstore brands. It provides great coverage, and I LOVE that they have such a large color palette to choose from, so every woman has their match! I'm a 3.5 and the shade blends perfectly into my fair skin, and no streaking or application lines. I absolutely adore this product. August 8, 2012Finally, a match! I have very, VERY, fair skin, and I had tried over and over again to find something that wouldn't turn my skin orange. Other foundations were either too pale or they made me look like I had tried a bad tanning cream. I got some help at one of the stores finding my shade and I haven't gone back! It goes on so easily and isn't too heavy, which is good for my oily skin. A little pricey, but it lasts so long that it's worth it in my book. March 8, 2013This foundation is "just right" After my old brand stopped shipping to the U.S. I didn't know what to do. I spent about 2 years trying every brand of foundation I could find, but none did the trick. Either it was too sheer and didn't cover enough, or it looked cakey and thick and awful. Or I'd find one I liked, but the color was off and I had to pick between looking white as a ghost or like a Cheeto! Yet another one made my pores huge after a few weeks, and then there was one that was so oily it made me break out! And then UD released Naked. I feel like Goldilocks saying this one is just right. No excess oil, no thick cakey look, no smothered pores. And it matches my skin and covers everything I need it to! My only complaint is that I have to step up my moisturizing routine just a bit, because it tends to dry my skin out a little. But trust me, a little extra moisturizer is worth it. March 7, 2013Feels like it's not there I have never written a review for a foundation before and I have only used high end foundations ( MAC, Givenchy, YSL, Lancome, Este Lauder and Dior). The other brands have always done a good job, but nothing worth writing a review for. Neither terrible nor incredible. Urban Decay's "Naked Skin" is excellent. When used properly and in the correct shade, the results are flawless. If anyone has a streaky finish with this foundation then it is due to the technique being used. I always test my foundation in unforgiving and natural light and this foundation looks the best out of any that I have ever worn. It builds beautifully and has a light weight feel. I have combination skin, so I always set my t-zone with a translucent powder and this foundation lasts well over eight hours. If you have dry skin, then make sure to moisturize before applying this foundation. January 23, 2013Kind of bummed out I love LOVE LOVE Urban Decay, but this was one product I just won't get again. Everyone's skin is different, and products work differently for different people... but I found that my skin felt weighed down and heavy after using this. After wearing it for about an hour, I felt gross and just wanted to wash it off ASAP. On a positive note, it did cover up my acne scars very well, and despite how it felt on my skin, it LOOKED great. March 9, 2013Perfect! Wow! I was really excited when this came out, and splurged on the full size. I am in the shade 2.0 and it is a perfect match! So perfect in fact, that I don't have to put this on my whole face if I don't want to! Call me crazy, but I don't put foundation on my forehead because it is almost completely covered by my side bangs. There is no difference between the rest of my face and my forehead with this on, that's how perfectly it matches my skin color! I love how lightweight this foundation is, and yet still buildable. I can put more in the spots that I need more coverage, like the redness in my cheeks, and it won't cake or look thicker than the rest of my face. The pump is so convenient to get a controlled amount of product every time. I use less than half a pump for my whole face, (Excluding my forehead) and that's all I need! Will definitely repurchase! March 10, 2013Very lightweight and natural looking, I LOVE It. This was the first liquid foundation I've ever tried, and I must say I'm glad I tried this one. My Sephora didn't have the products for sale yet but they let me have a sample. It goes on very smoothly, evens out my skin tone, and makes my skin look overall a lot better. It does not cover every single spot on my face, as it's a pretty light-medium coverage, but it's definitely buildable (just be careful 'cause you could use up the product very quickly.) It has a very natural looking finish, which is nice 'cause I don't want it to look like I'm wearing anything. I didn't count the hours but I noticed it last a pretty long time too, almost longer than my Revlon Colorstay Creme. Overall I think this is a great foundation that has a great natural look, and I'd recommend it if that's what you're looking for :) can't wait for my order of it to arrive in the mail! I used a foundation by Korres which I liked better than this one in terms of coverage and feel on my skin - this one feels a bit heavier - but since that product has been discontinued, I like the Naked foundation next best to all foundations I have ever used. The coverage is is fairly buildable. I would rather have a greater brightening effect but like I said this is a good foundation by a company that does not test on animals. March 6, 2013Best foundation I've ever used. I got a sample of this and was hooked. I had to buy the full size. It's by far the best foundation I've ever used. It makes my skin look so even, and my nose doesn't even get shiny throughout the day. Even my foundation brush is less oily since switching from a product that was not paraben free. I haven't bought the optical blurring brush, but plan to eventually. I can't imagine how great it will look once I purchase the brush! March 7, 2013Tried 3 to find the 1 I tried 10, 11 & 12. 10 left me looking a little ashy/chalky. 11 was better and 12 was even better, So finally I mixed my 11 and 12 samples together and that was great! The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because I wish it were just a tiny bit "dewy" looking after I put it on and for me to get the PERFECT shade I have to buy 80.00 worth of foundation. This foundation feels even lighter than my BB from another company and when I ran my fingernail down my face I didn't come away with any under my nail. If you are looking for medium to heavy coverage this is NOT the foundation for you, but if you want a natural but finished look, then by all means give this a try. I will also give UD huge props for addressing the needs of women of color. Unfortunately even in 2013 it's still a challenge for us to find a company that recognizes we are a buying force. March 2, 2013My Face's New BFF I am a full blown, maximum coverage type of girl. I have used and abused so many foundations, concealers and powders to get the full coverage that I desire. But let me tell you that UD has converted me to the Natural look. I have sun spots, moles, freckles, things of that nature that I cannot stand when I look at them and try to find the next best foundation that will cover those suckers up. So when Naked Skin came out I was excited because it's UD, and couldn't mess it up since their e/s's are amazing. Despite reading the reviews of how it's "sheer coverage" and "a step up to a tinted moisturizer", I still decided to buy it. I watched the video and saw that it could be applied with the fingers. So I pump 2 pumps into my finger tips, mix it together with the fingertips of my other hand and pat the foundation onto my skin. Next I get a short duo fiber brush (I did try the Optical whatever brush but I didn't like it, and already had other brushes) and in soft circular motions I buff it into my skin lightly. While it's setting into my skin I like to apply my eye make up. After I'm done the foundation is dried to a semi-matte finish. I don't even feel like I need to powder or anything. Feels weird at first because I ALWAYS powder, and not to do it made me feel incomplete at first. I don't get full coverage but I get a look that is so naturally beautiful, which is perfect for work. It goes on so easily and isn't too heavy, which is good for my oily skin. A little pricey, but it lasts so long that it's worth it in my book. March 8, 2013This foundation is "just right" After my old brand stopped shipping to the U.S. I didn't know what to do. I spent about 2 years trying every brand of foundation I could find, but none did the trick. Either it was too sheer and didn't cover enough, or it looked cakey and thick and awful. Or I'd find one I liked, but the color was off and I had to pick between looking white as a ghost or like a Cheeto! Yet another one made my pores huge after a few weeks, and then there was one that was so oily it made me break out! And then UD released Naked. I feel like Goldilocks saying this one is just right. No excess oil, no thick cakey look, no smothered pores. And it matches my skin and covers everything I need it to! My only complaint is that I have to step up my moisturizing routine just a bit, because it tends to dry my skin out a little. But trust me, a little extra moisturizer is worth it. March 7, 2013Feels like it's not there I have never written a review for a foundation before and I have only used high end foundations ( MAC, Givenchy, YSL, Lancome, Este Lauder and Dior). The other brands have always done a good job, but nothing worth writing a review for. Neither terrible nor incredible. Urban Decay's "Naked Skin" is excellent. When used properly and in the correct shade, the results are flawless. If anyone has a streaky finish with this foundation then it is due to the technique being used. I always test my foundation in unforgiving and natural light and this foundation looks the best out of any that I have ever worn. It builds beautifully and has a light weight feel. I have combination skin, so I always set my t-zone with a translucent powder and this foundation lasts well over eight hours. If you have dry skin, then make sure to moisturize before applying this foundation. January 23, 2013Kind of bummed out I love LOVE LOVE Urban Decay, but this was one product I just won't get again. Everyone's skin is different, and products work differently for different people... but I found that my skin felt weighed down and heavy after using this. After wearing it for about an hour, I felt gross and just wanted to wash it off ASAP. On a positive note, it did cover up my acne scars very well, and despite how it felt on my skin, it LOOKED great. March 9, 2013Perfect! Wow! I was really excited when this came out, and splurged on the full size. I am in the shade 2.0 and it is a perfect match! So perfect in fact, that I don't have to put this on my whole face if I don't want to! Call me crazy, but I don't put foundation on my forehead because it is almost completely covered by my side bangs. There is no difference between the rest of my face and my forehead with this on, that's how perfectly it matches my skin color! I love how lightweight this foundation is, and yet still buildable. I can put more in the spots that I need more coverage, like the redness in my cheeks, and it won't cake or look thicker than the rest of my face. The pump is so convenient to get a controlled amount of product every time. I use less than half a pump for my whole face, (Excluding my forehead) and that's all I need! Will definitely repurchase! March 10, 2013Very lightweight and natural looking, I LOVE It. This was the first liquid foundation I've ever tried, and I must say I'm glad I tried this one. My Sephora didn't have the products for sale yet but they let me have a sample. It goes on very smoothly, evens out my skin tone, and makes my skin look overall a lot better. It does not cover every single spot on my face, as it's a pretty light-medium coverage, but it's definitely buildable (just be careful 'cause you could use up the product very quickly.) It has a very natural looking finish, which is nice 'cause I don't want it to look like I'm wearing anything. I didn't count the hours but I noticed it last a pretty long time too, almost longer than my Revlon Colorstay Creme. Overall I think this is a great foundation that has a great natural look, and I'd recommend it if that's what you're looking for :) can't wait for my order of it to arrive in the mail! I used a foundation by Korres which I liked better than this one in terms of coverage and feel on my skin - this one feels a bit heavier - but since that product has been discontinued, I like the Naked foundation next best to all foundations I have ever used. The coverage is is fairly buildable. I would rather have a greater brightening effect but like I said this is a good foundation by a company that does not test on animals. March 6, 2013Best foundation I've ever used. I got a sample of this and was hooked. I had to buy the full size. It's by far the best foundation I've ever used. It makes my skin look so even, and my nose doesn't even get shiny throughout the day. Even my foundation brush is less oily since switching from a product that was not paraben free. I haven't bought the optical blurring brush, but plan to eventually. I can't imagine how great it will look once I purchase the brush! March 7, 2013Tried 3 to find the 1 I tried 10, 11 & 12. 10 left me looking a little ashy/chalky. 11 was better and 12 was even better, So finally I mixed my 11 and 12 samples together and that was great! The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because I wish it were just a tiny bit "dewy" looking after I put it on and for me to get the PERFECT shade I have to buy 80.00 worth of foundation. This foundation feels even lighter than my BB from another company and when I ran my fingernail down my face I didn't come away with any under my nail. If you are looking for medium to heavy coverage this is NOT the foundation for you, but if you want a natural but finished look, then by all means give this a try. I will also give UD huge props for addressing the needs of women of color. Unfortunately even in 2013 it's still a challenge for us to find a company that recognizes we are a buying force. March 2, 2013My Face's New BFF I am a full blown, maximum coverage type of girl. I have used and abused so many foundations, concealers and powders to get the full coverage that I desire. But let me tell you that UD has converted me to the Natural look. I have sun spots, moles, freckles, things of that nature that I cannot stand when I look at them and try to find the next best foundation that will cover those suckers up. So when Naked Skin came out I was excited because it's UD, and couldn't mess it up since their e/s's are amazing. Despite reading the reviews of how it's "sheer coverage" and "a step up to a tinted moisturizer", I still decided to buy it. I watched the video and saw that it could be applied with the fingers. So I pump 2 pumps into my finger tips, mix it together with the fingertips of my other hand and pat the foundation onto my skin. Next I get a short duo fiber brush (I did try the Optical whatever brush but I didn't like it, and already had other brushes) and in soft circular motions I buff it into my skin lightly. While it's setting into my skin I like to apply my eye make up. After I'm done the foundation is dried to a semi-matte finish. I don't even feel like I need to powder or anything. Feels weird at first because I ALWAYS powder, and not to do it made me feel incomplete at first. I don't get full coverage but I get a look that is so naturally beautiful, which is perfect for work.
