It goes on easily with my fingers, and I realize this sounds crazy, but it kind of blends itself! I find that with most foundations I have to work the product into my skin to get it to look natural, but I can apply this fairly haphazardly and it never looks streaky or patchy. I would say coverage is a good medium. The finish is semi-matte, and on my combination oily skin it stays that way for at least 6 hours without a touch up. I have very breakout - prone skin and it has never caused any issues. March 5, 2013Blown Away! I started using the new UD Naked Skin Foundation about 2 weeks ago. I kind of bought it on a whim, since I wasn’t really on the hunt for a new foundation. I have never been a big fan of foundation because every one that I’ve ever tried has always felt heavy and seemed “cakey”. For the past 4 or 5 months, I’ve been using a BB cream prior to applying my pressed powder. My only “gripe” with the BB cream was that it didn’t last very long, especially during the hot summer months. So, I thought I’d try the new Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, since I had heard that it was very light, but offered some really good coverage. I went to Ulta and was color matched by one of their associates. I’m a shade 4.5 and am so, so happy with how well this color matches my current skin tone. I have a feeling that later in the year, I will probably need to step down to a 3.5 because my skin will lighten up in the winter. I apply my Naked Skin Foundation with the new Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush (if you’re considering buying the Naked Skin Foundation, I HIGHLY recommend buying the new brush, too). It takes about 2 full pumps for me to cover my entire face. I’m very impressed with the coverage I get from this foundation! I have acne scarring on my cheeks and this foundation does an excellent job smoothing that out and covering most (if not all) of it. Like many other reviewers have said, it literally feels and looks like your own skin, just better! My favorite quality of the Naked Skin Foundation is that it LASTS so long! I usually apply my foundation in the morning before work (around 7:00 am). In the past, I was constantly checking my make-up throughout the day and re-applying pressed powder to my shiny areas. But with this foundation, I don’t need to – seriously! What a relief to know that if I’m busy in meetings all day, I don’t have to worry about my face looking oily and shiny! In fact, I can’t help but smile when I’m driving home from work in the evening and looking in the mirror and seeing how great my make-up still looks! As someone who has dealt with acne for most of her adult life and being self-conscious about the way her skin looks, this is a HUGE confidence-booster! You’ve seen and read lots of rave reviews about the new UD Naked Skin Foundation. I’m probably not telling you anything new about the experience I had, because I think just about everyone else who’s tried it has had the same or similar results. But I will tell you this: If you’re on the fence about buying this because of the price, it is worth EVERY penny! Since you’re only using a pump or two of the product each time you apply it, the bottle will last you a long time. If you’re on the fence about buying this product because you have sensitive skin, I’ll tell you that for me, it hasn’t been a problem at all. I have tried many liquid foundations where they made my skin look dry and dull, or some that made my skin look too caked on. And almost every foundation made my skin break out because my skin is extremely sensitive to what I put on it. This is perfect if you have combination, oily or even dry. This made my skin look healthy and moisturized but not oily. ALL skin types will adore this foundation. It's natural and light and it has build-able coverage. I will honestly never go back to any other foundation. March 5, 2013Not so good for a light, true olive skin tone. I got this product as a sample with my TSA bag that was free when I bought over 50 bucks worth of UD stuff online. It's nice to see that they have true light colors. With A lot of foundation, I'm the second to lightest shade which is weird because I'm SUPER olive. This stuff goes on rather nicely, and stays put. I did use the BB cream as primer, and I always set with DeSlick. But today was a hot one and the make up didn't budge, which is awesome in my book. The shade 4.0 was a great match, But on the contrary, the tones in this foundation aren't so great for people who are light green (golden olive) like myself. It's a little too pinky/peach, like most neutrals are on me. I wish it could have worked out between you and me naked skin, maybe next time. It is the first foundation I have ever used that I don't need a setting powder for and it still lasts all day. I'm now in my 14th hour of wearing it today and it still looks as good as when I put it on. I also love that it is actually light enough for my very fair skin. Most foundations just don't match my skin tone, but this one is perfect! August 9, 2012My first investment in foundation So I usually use the fit me foundation because I never wanted to spend a lot of money on a product you use daily but the naked skin foundation is so great that you only have use a small amount and it looks like you have nothing but great skin. It looks and feels like you have nothing on but at the same time it hides imperfections. I put a layer on and where ever I need more I just put a little more so it acts like a concealer too. I am 4.0 but I think although 4.5 is for cool tones I can actually also use it. This product is great!! I was introduced to this product a week ago and I have not looked back since, I have never had a foundation that is so easy to apply and lasts all day. My skin is looking great because my pores are not clogged with the heavy duty make up I had to wear to cover my blemishes. Not only is it easy to apply but it is easy to remove no scrubbing and irrating of the skin. I have already recommendated it to friends who have bought and feel just as i do, We will NEVER look back.. and you should not either, buy Naked Skin and Never look back. August 9, 2012I tossed all my other foundations! I will not buy any other foundation. Naked has replaced everything that I have tried. It looks so natural once your done, and you don't feel like you are wearing layers of makeup. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear this. It's also great if you have any skin issues. Bad combination skin, but the oily spots just kill me. On my old foundations I would just watch them fade away during my work day, but not this one. I can still come home from an 8 hour shift and my makeup looks flawless. I even use it on my lids as primer! March 8, 2013MUST BUY! I ordered this product a couple days ago and the first time I tried it I knew I was in love. I have extremely oily skin and was a little skeptical when I ordered it because most thinner foundations do not work for me, however, this foundation was amazing! I have tried EVERY foundation on the planet that promises oil control, long lasting, great coverage and time and time again I get disappointed. I live in Hawaii with 90ish % humidity and I'm extremely oily to boot. I've also have an extremely hard to match skin tone that's very olive and have always had issues with foundations going grey or pink after a few minutes of application. In fact, whenever I get color matched at a cosmetic counter, the makeup artists are completely stumped! Until one day.....I saw a demo for this new NAKED SKIN foundation and sat down to be color matched..good luck..I was thinking! But to my amazement, it only took 2 foundation samples and BOOM, I found my foundation soul mate. After only two days of wearing this foundation, I noticed that my foundation looked fresh even at the end of a hot summer day! Usually by lunch, the makeup on my nose disappears into a goey, oily mess. Also friends were coming up to me and saying " wow, you're glowing"! What?! Seriously... I also love the fact that it goes on with a brush and covers wonderfully without cakiness. Its just such a double dip when this foundation also contains ingredients that actually good for you skin! I love products that have multi benefits! Before I was blessed with this foundation I was using Giorgio Armani foundation that costs $65! This foundation is such a steal at $38 so I bought two!!!!! October 4, 2012I love this foundation!!!!! This foundation is by far the most incredible thing I have found. It is extremely easy to use. The pump gives you the perfect amount to cover your entire face so you don't use too much. The other thing I love about this foundation is that it is buildable! You could put 3 layers on and it wouldn't look cakey!! It has a wonderful color and gives me the amount of coverage I want. I recommended this to a friend and she uses it everyday now too-and she is a Mary Kay consultant (Don't tell!). This foundation is well worth the price! March 5, 2013Definitely my favorite.. I love this stuff! I seriously love this foundation. I have oily skin and most foundations even ones claiming to stay matte all day, melt off my skin after a few hours, or I have to blot 2 to 3 times. Not with this! It's demi matte and it still stays on my skin all day, and I MAYBE have to blot once, if its hot out. I love that it feels extremely light, and you still get good coverage without it looking cakey. It blends like a dream and leaves your skin looking flawless and looking airbrushed. I seriously recommend getting a sample if you can. August 10, 2012My favorite foundation ever !! I got an email from UD introducing the new foundation, I used the tool to match my existing foundation with a UD color, I found out that I was a 3.0, but I wasn’t sure so I wanted to test the color and consistency on my skin, so as a Sephora VIB I went to my sephora store last week and they let me try it, it was not out for sale yet but the girls had foundations testers, so I tried the 3.0 and matched my skin exactly , OMG It was so smooth as butter, so light, so easy to blend, I tried with and without a face primer, It was love at first try lol, I end up convincing the sephora manager to let me buy it a week before they were allowed to display and sell it , I was very convincing LOL, so I got the primer, and 2 foundations, I got 3.0 and 2.5 why will you ask? Because they both look good on my skin, so weird, but last night I had a concert and I mixed them both with some Mac luster drops and my skin looked so nice, fresh and healthy , people keep complementing my skin which is very weird because they usually compliment my makeup now they actually complemented my skin I was so happy, I had to share, I told everyone I know about it, it’s not only a lot of product for the price, but it feels so great, if you use it with the primer and the setting spray by UD it actually last a long time, for me it lasted from 4pm until 3am that I came back from the concert, in which I was dancing and sweating, SO … THANK YOU UD !! You did it again!! August 2, 2012Wonderful foundation! This foundation is easy to apply, I use the Good Karma brush to apply it and it looks just like your own skin. If you have blemishes, you'll need concealer, because it doesn't really cover those. And it doesn't last that long on my skin at least (I have really oily skin so foundation doesn't really last for me anyway, plus I work in a kitchen). I usually only get 4 to 5 hours of wear and then it starts to look bad. It's a really nice foundation though if you want something light to cover redness but still not look cakey! March 6, 2013Great product, questionable packaging. To start off, this is really an amazing foundation. I really hate the feeling of thick makeup and this is quite lightweight while still maintaining good coverage. I have sensitive and sometimes dry skin and I do not find that it makes my skin flaky. This is all well and good however I once accidentally dropped it from only about a foot in the air and the top of the pump completely broke off and is now pretty much unusable. I have managed to glue it back together, but nonetheless a lot of the product was wasted and when paying this much money for foundation I would expect a higher quality container. Obviously the packaging is very attractive, just maybe such a breakable pump was not the best idea. Overall though, this is a great product just be very careful with it! January 10, 2013Caused break outs and noticeable freckles I really wanted to love this foundation since it is very watery in consistency and very blendable, feels light and not heavy, and is not caking on my starting to dry skin due to the weather. The only MAJOR problem is that, this by far is the only foundation that breaks me out and caused some freckles that are noticeable. No high end foundation had done this to me, not even some drug store foundation. (i can only remember one drug store make up that caused me discoloration and that was the reason why I opted for high end foundations.) For break outs though, I don't remember any drug store that caused me this. I dont break out at all. This break out to me is MAJOR since it is not only one, but as many as almost 10 (yes I counted). I gave it two weeks, but I will return it as now im sure it it the one causing me the skin issues. November 4, 2012This product lives up to its name I used MAC studio fix for about 6 months and completely broke out w/ acne and sores. My skin became very sensitive and was very complicated from the products I was applying. Left w/ dark acne scars I was looking for a product that covered my scars, let my skin breathe, yet heal my face. And I found it in this Naked Foundation. Other products would feel light but never covered up my dark scars. This product is by far the best!!!! Unfortunately for woman of color I feel like this line doesn't cater to us. I had to purchase 9.0 & 10.0 which is super pricy!! Mac is $27 but destroys my skin, Naked Foundation is $80 but I haven't had a break out. I recommend getting samples from U.D before purchasing because the colors may be incorrect if you don't try it personally. I also used less then a pump and it covered half my face. When I posted a picture of my face w/ this foundation I got over 50 likes from guys and girls that's when I knew this product is too legit!! :) February 24, 2013best foundation ever! I love this foundation. It looks very natural, but better. I have some light scarring on my face, and starting to see wrinkles, and signs of aging. Yay me, lol. But this by far, is worth the money. It really does blur fine lines, and overall makes my skin smoother looking, and does not feel heavy either.Well worth the money October 5, 2012Excellent after the summer Well, I must confess that after the summer holiday, this is the perfect foundation to go back to city and office mood! And I am confident that the different shades will accompany better the transtion from summer-tanned to autumn-bright tones of my skin. It's super easy to put on, and the results are amazing: the skin is super-smooth without any imperfection noticeable. And all day long I feel that the Naked Skin, apart from giving a peach-looking skin, it will maintain the perfect hydratation of my visage. Brilliant! August 9, 2012perfect! I absolutely love this product! I have very sensitive skin and every foundation I have tried from drug store brands to department store brands have caused me to have allergic reactions (even the stuff that promises not to). I wasn't to thrilled about the cost but I decided to give it a try and I am impressed! It lasts through my whole day even if I do happen to touch my face. The color choices are great but I find that it takes two to three applications to lighten blemishes and dark spots. But I absolutely love this! December 12, 2012Great coverage while still feeling feather light I have oily acne prone skin and had been using heavy full coverage foundation for as long as I can remember. I really wanted a change and since I'm in love with other UD products I figured I'd give it a try. It took a little bit of time to get used to the feeling of not wearing makeup. For the last several years I have not used straight up liquid foundations, I have used everything between liquid foundation to mineral /powder based foundations. January 17, 2013Incredible matte finish!!!! Holy moly!! I am extremely nit-picky about all my makeup products. Everything I use is pretty much all UD anyway. I was wondering when they would come out with a foundation up to their standards. I received a sample from Ulta of the Naked Foundation and OMG!! I knew it would be fabulous--but it outdid my already high expectations! My skin is so oily, it doesn't matter what kind of mattifying primer I use under my foundation--my face always oils up after a few hours of wear. The UD Naked Foundation goes on incredibly smooth and is so matte. It feels like you are wearing nothing--hence the Naked name. My skin did not oil up at all and it stayed on all day without a touch up. THIS STUFF IS PHENOMENAL!!! I highly recommend you purchase the Optical Blurring Brush with it--the brush is out of this world. Does exactly what they say it does: gives your skin an airbrush finish. Applies the Naked Foundation perfectly everytime. There is nothing like these two products on the market! Thank you UD! I love this foundation! As a woman of color, I have always have a hard time finding my perfect shade. I usually have to purchase two foundations and mix them to get a color that works for me. I was impressed by the shade selection offered and the descriptions of each shade. It made it easy to decide which one would work for me (I'm a 9.0). Naked has a nice consistency when pumped and I found that I only needed 1/2 to 1 pump of product. Coverage: The great thing about this foundation is that you can layer on as much coverage as you would like without the heavy feeling. It went on light and I didn't have to touch up during the day nor did I get the greasy look and feeling at the end of the day. I'm very pleased with this product. So much that I'm ordering another bottle. October 17, 2012Flawless I've always used Make- Up Forever but tried out Naked Skin at Sephora and I instantly fell in LOVE! I have acne Rosacea and that day that I tried the Naked skin I was just getting over a bad flare up , redness , tiny bumps all over my cheeks ......the Naked Skin made my skin look flawless! It covered but without that heavy feeling of wearing a mask of foundation. It truly felt like naked skin. For myself, I havce pretty decent skin, this foundations glides on perfectly, looks natural and gives the skin a nice glow!!! For my clients, it is amazing aswell. I have tried EVERY foundation on the planet that promises oil control, long lasting, great coverage and time and time again I get disappointed. I live in Hawaii with 90ish % humidity and I'm extremely oily to boot. I've also have an extremely hard to match skin tone that's very olive and have always had issues with foundations going grey or pink after a few minutes of application. In fact, whenever I get color matched at a cosmetic counter, the makeup artists are completely stumped! Until one day.....I saw a demo for this new NAKED SKIN foundation and sat down to be color matched..good luck..I was thinking! But to my amazement, it only took 2 foundation samples and BOOM, I found my foundation soul mate. After only two days of wearing this foundation, I noticed that my foundation looked fresh even at the end of a hot summer day! Usually by lunch, the makeup on my nose disappears into a goey, oily mess. Also friends were coming up to me and saying " wow, you're glowing"! What?! Seriously... I also love the fact that it goes on with a brush and covers wonderfully without cakiness. Its just such a double dip when this foundation also contains ingredients that actually good for you skin! I love products that have multi benefits! Before I was blessed with this foundation I was using Giorgio Armani foundation that costs $65! This foundation is such a steal at $38 so I bought two!!!!! October 4, 2012I love this foundation!!!!! This foundation is by far the most incredible thing I have found. It is extremely easy to use. The pump gives you the perfect amount to cover your entire face so you don't use too much. The other thing I love about this foundation is that it is buildable! You could put 3 layers on and it wouldn't look cakey!! It has a wonderful color and gives me the amount of coverage I want. I recommended this to a friend and she uses it everyday now too-and she is a Mary Kay consultant (Don't tell!). This foundation is well worth the price! March 5, 2013Definitely my favorite.. I love this stuff! I seriously love this foundation. I have oily skin and most foundations even ones claiming to stay matte all day, melt off my skin after a few hours, or I have to blot 2 to 3 times. Not with this! It's demi matte and it still stays on my skin all day, and I MAYBE have to blot once, if its hot out. I love that it feels extremely light, and you still get good coverage without it looking cakey. It blends like a dream and leaves your skin looking flawless and looking airbrushed. I seriously recommend getting a sample if you can. August 10, 2012My favorite foundation ever !! I got an email from UD introducing the new foundation, I used the tool to match my existing foundation with a UD color, I found out that I was a 3.0, but I wasn’t sure so I wanted to test the color and consistency on my skin, so as a Sephora VIB I went to my sephora store last week and they let me try it, it was not out for sale yet but the girls had foundations testers, so I tried the 3.0 and matched my skin exactly , OMG It was so smooth as butter, so light, so easy to blend, I tried with and without a face primer, It was love at first try lol, I end up convincing the sephora manager to let me buy it a week before they were allowed to display and sell it , I was very convincing LOL, so I got the primer, and 2 foundations, I got 3.0 and 2.5 why will you ask? Because they both look good on my skin, so weird, but last night I had a concert and I mixed them both with some Mac luster drops and my skin looked so nice, fresh and healthy , people keep complementing my skin which is very weird because they usually compliment my makeup now they actually complemented my skin I was so happy, I had to share, I told everyone I know about it, it’s not only a lot of product for the price, but it feels so great, if you use it with the primer and the setting spray by UD it actually last a long time, for me it lasted from 4pm until 3am that I came back from the concert, in which I was dancing and sweating, SO … THANK YOU UD !! You did it again!! August 2, 2012Wonderful foundation! This foundation is easy to apply, I use the Good Karma brush to apply it and it looks just like your own skin. If you have blemishes, you'll need concealer, because it doesn't really cover those. And it doesn't last that long on my skin at least (I have really oily skin so foundation doesn't really last for me anyway, plus I work in a kitchen). I usually only get 4 to 5 hours of wear and then it starts to look bad. It's a really nice foundation though if you want something light to cover redness but still not look cakey! March 6, 2013Great product, questionable packaging. To start off, this is really an amazing foundation. I really hate the feeling of thick makeup and this is quite lightweight while still maintaining good coverage. I have sensitive and sometimes dry skin and I do not find that it makes my skin flaky. This is all well and good however I once accidentally dropped it from only about a foot in the air and the top of the pump completely broke off and is now pretty much unusable. I have managed to glue it back together, but nonetheless a lot of the product was wasted and when paying this much money for foundation I would expect a higher quality container. Obviously the packaging is very attractive, just maybe such a breakable pump was not the best idea. Overall though, this is a great product just be very careful with it! January 10, 2013Caused break outs and noticeable freckles I really wanted to love this foundation since it is very watery in consistency and very blendable, feels light and not heavy, and is not caking on my starting to dry skin due to the weather. The only MAJOR problem is that, this by far is the only foundation that breaks me out and caused some freckles that are noticeable. No high end foundation had done this to me, not even some drug store foundation. (i can only remember one drug store make up that caused me discoloration and that was the reason why I opted for high end foundations.) For break outs though, I don't remember any drug store that caused me this. I dont break out at all. This break out to me is MAJOR since it is not only one, but as many as almost 10 (yes I counted). I gave it two weeks, but I will return it as now im sure it it the one causing me the skin issues. November 4, 2012This product lives up to its name I used MAC studio fix for about 6 months and completely broke out w/ acne and sores. My skin became very sensitive and was very complicated from the products I was applying. Left w/ dark acne scars I was looking for a product that covered my scars, let my skin breathe, yet heal my face. And I found it in this Naked Foundation. Other products would feel light but never covered up my dark scars. This product is by far the best!!!! Unfortunately for woman of color I feel like this line doesn't cater to us. I had to purchase 9.0 & 10.0 which is super pricy!! Mac is $27 but destroys my skin, Naked Foundation is $80 but I haven't had a break out. I recommend getting samples from U.D before purchasing because the colors may be incorrect if you don't try it personally. I also used less then a pump and it covered half my face. When I posted a picture of my face w/ this foundation I got over 50 likes from guys and girls that's when I knew this product is too legit!! :) February 24, 2013best foundation ever! I love this foundation. It looks very natural, but better. I have some light scarring on my face, and starting to see wrinkles, and signs of aging. Yay me, lol. But this by far, is worth the money. It really does blur fine lines, and overall makes my skin smoother looking, and does not feel heavy either.Well worth the money October 5, 2012Excellent after the summer Well, I must confess that after the summer holiday, this is the perfect foundation to go back to city and office mood! And I am confident that the different shades will accompany better the transtion from summer-tanned to autumn-bright tones of my skin. It's super easy to put on, and the results are amazing: the skin is super-smooth without any imperfection noticeable. And all day long I feel that the Naked Skin, apart from giving a peach-looking skin, it will maintain the perfect hydratation of my visage. Brilliant! August 9, 2012perfect! I absolutely love this product! I have very sensitive skin and every foundation I have tried from drug store brands to department store brands have caused me to have allergic reactions (even the stuff that promises not to). I wasn't to thrilled about the cost but I decided to give it a try and I am impressed! It lasts through my whole day even if I do happen to touch my face. The color choices are great but I find that it takes two to three applications to lighten blemishes and dark spots. But I absolutely love this! December 12, 2012Great coverage while still feeling feather light I have oily acne prone skin and had been using heavy full coverage foundation for as long as I can remember. I really wanted a change and since I'm in love with other UD products I figured I'd give it a try. It took a little bit of time to get used to the feeling of not wearing makeup. After experimenting with different application techniques I figured out what works best for me and leaves my skin looking flawless. I love being able to wear something my skin actually breathes in without having to sacrifice coverage. March 6, 2013GREAT Foundation! For the last several years I have not used straight up liquid foundations, I have used everything between liquid foundation to mineral /powder based foundations. But for the first time in years I tried this out, because it's my very favorite makeup brand that never does me wrong. This is a wonderful foundation, you just gotta find the right shade, it covers what you need to cover while still looking natural and lightweight, and a little goes a long way, all the things you could want in a foundation, I just love it! January 17, 2013Incredible matte finish!!!! Holy moly!! I am extremely nit-picky about all my makeup products. Everything I use is pretty much all UD anyway. I was wondering when they would come out with a foundation up to their standards. I received a sample from Ulta of the Naked Foundation and OMG!! I knew it would be fabulous--but it outdid my already high expectations! My skin is so oily, it doesn't matter what kind of mattifying primer I use under my foundation--my face always oils up after a few hours of wear. The UD Naked Foundation goes on incredibly smooth and is so matte. It feels like you are wearing nothing--hence the Naked name. My skin did not oil up at all and it stayed on all day without a touch up. THIS STUFF IS PHENOMENAL!!! I highly recommend you purchase the Optical Blurring Brush with it--the brush is out of this world. Does exactly what they say it does: gives your skin an airbrush finish. Applies the Naked Foundation perfectly everytime. There is nothing like these two products on the market! Thank you UD! I love this foundation! As a woman of color, I have always have a hard time finding my perfect shade. I usually have to purchase two foundations and mix them to get a color that works for me. I was impressed by the shade selection offered and the descriptions of each shade. It made it easy to decide which one would work for me (I'm a 9.0). Naked has a nice consistency when pumped and I found that I only needed 1/2 to 1 pump of product. Coverage: The great thing about this foundation is that you can layer on as much coverage as you would like without the heavy feeling. It went on light and I didn't have to touch up during the day nor did I get the greasy look and feeling at the end of the day. I'm very pleased with this product. So much that I'm ordering another bottle. October 17, 2012Flawless I've always used Make- Up Forever but tried out Naked Skin at Sephora and I instantly fell in LOVE! I have acne Rosacea and that day that I tried the Naked skin I was just getting over a bad flare up , redness , tiny bumps all over my cheeks ......the Naked Skin made my skin look flawless! It covered but without that heavy feeling of wearing a mask of foundation. It truly felt like naked skin. I switched from make up forever and am now using Urban Decay Naked Skin.........the compliments are endless when I use it. March 11, 2013Best Foundation I've Tried! I have really oily skin and this foundation really helped. It didn't feel heavy or wet after I applied. It really sunk into my skin.
