Amazing Holy cow, I just used this stuff for the first time today. Let me just start out by saying that I only work a five and a half hour day at my job. However, by the end of my work day, EVERY DAY, I look like a grease face. I have to blot and use powder and still don't feel like my face and make up looks fresh. Well, I got up at 6:30 AM today, did my make up as usual and used this setting spray. You guys, it is almost 5:00 PM and my face hasn't even the slightest bit of oil on it. It feels and looks like it did at 7 this morning. I did NO touch ups what so ever. I have spent time in the past looking up on Google why is my face so oily, how do I control it. Now I know. Oil controlled This spray is absolutely amazing! I usually spray this either before I put my foundation on or afterwards, before my blush and eyes. My makeup last all day long and my oil is controlled. I don't have oily oily skin, but for my age, it tends to slick up a lot around noon time, but if I use this spray I don't notice the oil until around 7 at night (and I apply my makeup at around 6:30-7 in the morning). I love this way this makes my skin look! I've always had extremely oily skin. No finishing powder, blotting powder, oil free moisturizer, oil free make up, or powder foundation in the world has ever helped me control my face oils, but this.. this is gold. Great If It Works On Your Skin I received this in the new packaging with the hopes that it would help my super oily skin as it says it would. Unfortunately, it did not help my oily skin and on some days my oiliness seemed to increase. I chock this up to my skin being oilier than most of those that use this product may be. I did have to contact UD when I received my package because the bottle was leaking. I realized that it was leaking from the pump area whenever it was slightly tilted and even when I shook it as the directions advised. UD immediately shipped me out a replacement bottle without any hassle. The ended up sending me the spray in the old XL packaging, but I didn't mind since the product inside the bottle is the same. That bottle did not have any leaking so I'm not sure if the leak issue was a fluke or if the new packaging was leak prone. January 24, 2013
Is this product still Vegan? I absolutely adore this product, but I wanted to know if it is still vegan? Love this stuff!! I was real skeptical about this product at first. But.. when i have used this I have not had to touch up my make up and/or reapply a finishing powder throughout the day/night. My T-Zone gets super oily 2 hours after i put on my make up. But since I have used this product, my make up stays put, doesn't melt off and I don't get oily. I start off w/a clean face, moisturizer, primer, then i spray my foundation brush and apply my foundation. After putting on the rest of my face, I'll set it w/the the de-slick spray. March 11, 2013
Great setting spray, if only I wasn't allergic to it! I love this spray. It is great for my oily skin and helps keep the oil at bay all day long. However, my skin doesn't seem to like this too well so I can only use it on special occasions. I'm not sure what is in this that I seem to be allergic to but if I use it more than two days in a row, I get little bumps all over my skin and it dries my face out. I still love this spray though and use it when I am going out at night or for special occasions when I want my makeup to stay for a long time looking great! March 9, 2013
Helps my oil This product helps keep my oil at bay. I wouldn't say it keeps it at bay all day but keeps my face matte for about 4 hours and then I have to blot. There also isn't as much oil when I do blot. March 5, 2013
Works great on my oily skin! Prior to buying this product, I had heard SO much about the setting sprays UD had, and I finally gave in and bought the de slick spray. I wanted something that would set my makeup and still control my oily skin. And I have very very oily skin. After a few weeks of using this, I do notice that my skin doesn't get AS oily as it usually does. However, it still does get oily. Works really well! This is another "must have" product for me. It really helps control oil, especially on bare skin. I actually like to apply it at night before bed, that way when I wake up in the morning my skin isn't so oily. It works well under makeup too, I didn't find that it did a lot for "staying power", but it did keep my face from being so oily. Truly helps control oil I don't leave my house with out this on my face. When I first bought this I thought it was junk, but I realized I was just using it wrong. What I do now is apply my moisturizer,my primer, then make sure to shake the bottle and spray this 2-4 times and let it dry. Once it's dry apply your foundation. My last 2-4 sprays I do once my whole face is complete but before I apply mascara, just because I'm not patient enough to let that dry. March 6, 2013
Works for most things I would like to preface this with a little about my skin. I have combination/oily skin. My t-zone is an oil slick most of the time and the perimeter of my face has a tendency to get a little drier. I have huge pores, my skin is NOT that sensitive but due to the oil it can be a little acne prone on areas like my chin. (plus I touch my face a lot unintentionally lol). This product will hold your makeup on decently. I noticed it makes matte foundations look a little fresher and dewey. I like it with mineral makeup and with matte or demi matte foundations. It is refreshing, the sprayer gives a good mist and you get a decent amount of product for your money. The ONLY problem I have found with this spray is that it doesn't control oil well when used with a BB cream. I like to use BB creams (I have Asian and American brands alike...mostly higher end)....The bb creams already have a dewey finish and I set them with a micro finishing powder then set it all with the deslick spray. For the first few hours my face looks and feels AMAZING BUT...after about 3 hours I noticed my face getting a lil shiny in the tzone....so if you want to use it for that don't be surprised if you need to touch up or bring some blot papers. To me, that is not a deal breaker.....I have the same problem with MAC fix+ , the all nighter spray and a few other brands I have tried. Life Saver Product! About a year ago my skin started to get super oily (which was surprising to someone who usually has very dry skin). I picked up this product hoping it would help me cause my makeup was not staying in place and I was trying everything else I could think of. Holds Your Makeup My number one problem with makeup is making it stay on. Even when I use a primer, it will move, fade, and rub off by the end of the day. This stuff is magical. I spritz my face 3 times before primer, and 3 sprays when I am completely done with my makeup, mascara and all. And it does not move all day. AMAZING FOR OILY SKIN I have had problems with my t-zone being oily for years. I tried a lot of concealers and dermatologist recommended lotions before but nothing ever worked! I got this for Christmas, and have use it everyday since! You just spray on twice before you apply your makeup and twice after and it stays all day while i'm at work. PERFECT for my oily skin! Not only do I have super oily skin, but I also live in a very humid area. It's pretty terrible for makeup. But with this before and after makeup application? I don't feel oily for at least 8 hours! I also like that after it dries, it doesn't really feel like anything is on my skin. It also doesn't mess with my makeup either. I have tried all of UDs de slick products and they have not let me down. Makeup lasts, Doesn't look oily This really does make my makeup last throughout the night, and I'm so glad I bought it! The only drawback is that it can get a little messy to apply sometimes, but that's to be expected with almost anything you buy that you spray, so I'm not gonna complain too much! Amazing!! Let me first just say that I haven't tried it since its changed its packaging so I'm not sure if the formula changed with it. I am reviewing it from the old packaging. It's an amazing product and if you have oily skin I would highl recommend it. I have extremely oily skin all over my face and I live in a very warm climate which does not help the situation. I usually spray after primer before foundation, then after foundation before powder. I've heard that for the perfect application you should then spray after you've finished your whole face of makeup. You really just have to experiment to see what works best for you, but any way you put it on it combats oiliness so well. I can have an oil free face for hours instead of minutes. Good skin makes your confidence shoot up and having this product has literally changed my life by helping my confidence go up. If you have not tried it do it now, you will not regret it I promise! Use before and after makeup for best results I whip this guy out whenever I need my makeup to last all day. I spray a little bit once my moisturizer absorbs into my skin and then after I do my foundation, powder, bronzer, and blush and it really does set my makeup. control my oils very well! I have extremely oily skin. I use this product with my UD naked BB cream and a setting powder and spray this after my makeup application. It controls my oils almost all day while working in a hot restaurant. After I spray my face with this product, I get a dewy finish which I really like and it also blends my makeup together. I like All-Nighter better Thsi does work better at keeping the shine away, but I think All-Nighter sets your makeup better. I do get some eyeshadow creases when I use this, whereas with All-Nighter do not. I prefer to use All Nighter on my eyes, and then this on the rest of my face. great setting spray This is a really good setting spray for oily skin. I really helps keep my face from getting too oily. The oily thing is that after spraying it on your face after makeup it kind of makes your face look a little shiny instead of completely matte. No more blotting... I love this product! I find myself blotting the oil off my skin (only have to when I have it on for at least 4 hours) a lot less often. I have combination skin but live in a humid environment so my skin gets super oily. I use it right after my moisturizer and after I finish my makeup and top it off with the All Nighter. March 5, 2013
It's alright I bought this product along with the urban decay all nighter setting spray and was pretty disappointed in this particular spray. I didn't really see a difference in oil control, and i felt like it actually made me more oily. I actually bought the XL size and not looking forward to use and finish that bottle up! March 5, 2013
Finally!! A spray primer that works! De-Slick is such a great product for me! My skin tends to get oily as the day goes on and this is the first product that I have found that controlls the oily look without drying my face or making it look very matte. My go to setting spray! This is the only setting spray I buy. I spray it on before foundation and after my makeup is finished. Besr Setting Spray EVER I have oily (kinda combination) skin, so I needed a setting spray or else I feared my makeup would kind of slide right off (ewww). SHAKE WELL. Apply just before foundation to control oil and again after makeup to deflect surface shine and lock makeup in place. Hold the bottle 8"–10" away and mist face 2–4 times, in an "X" and "T" formation.
