The new Disney film Oz The Great and Powerful tells the backstory of the wizard and the witches from L. Frank Baum's book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Inspired by the movie's theme of good witch vs. bad witch (and the good witch/bad witch dichotomy in all of us), we created two insanely gorgeous, limited-edition palettes loaded with beautiful, never-before-seen shades you'll want to own. Must Haves! I picked up both palettes from this collection from my local Sephora. I ADORE the palettes. They're both very pigmented and blend like a dream. I love the packaging it keeps the eyeshadows safe and the mirror is a great size. This is perfect for travel and gives you the ability to switch out shades since it does pop our like the BYOP. The price is amazing because you're getting 6 (2 duo shadows) the BYOP, full size saturated lip pencil and travel size eye liner all for $49.00. Another plus is all the eye shadows are exclusive to these palettes so this is a must buy. March 11, 2013
I dont recommend this as a gift I was given this as a gift and although I adore it, my palette was missing the 'AURA' pot....I got on to UD, and the retailer, and neither will help me replace it as it was a gift and my aunt no longer has the receipt... I don't live near an UD stockist so usually, getting near one is exciting or when I go to the USA on vacation, stocking up in Sephora.... If it's for yourself, make the assistant open it and make sure it's all there cause if you are missing a piece, forget trying to replace it! Not happy at all as the 'Aura' completes the look.. Love the shadows and the lip pencils I think we all can agree that the shadows are great but I wanted to talk about how great the lip pencils are. The glide on great. I only needed to touch up twice during the day. I love the fact that they are moisturizing and gloss like feel. The color on my lips were amazing. I have both palettes and loved both the of them. A def must have. I have a "good" rating for the ease of use because it requires sharpening. I would have preferred a push up pencil. Also it is hard to get a bunch of looks for one palette alone. GORGEOUS! The pictures truly do NOT do this palette justice. I was really hesitant to get this, because I wasnt fully impressed with the shades...Im really glad I got it because once I swatched the colors on, I fell in love. I think I love EVERY shade in this palette. The lip color is pretty and really compliments the shadows, same with the liner. The lip color isnt my first choice of a color, but it came with the palette, so Ill take it! I will still wear it because its pretty, but it isnt going to be my everyday color. I chose this palette over the Theodora one because I feel like I already have tons of brown/darker shades with Naked 1 and 2, so I wanted this one for more of a variety. LOVE Glinda! Such a beautiful pallet with 8 gorgeous eye shades. Every color is perfectly pigmented and goes on more beautiful than they look in the pallet. This was my first time using a Super Saturated High Gloss lip color, and I am in love. The texture and shade are amazing. Also, the eyeliner is a very pretty purple color that goes on smooth. AMAZING pallet that you really get your money's worth from! P.S. I love that you can pop your favorite shadows in & out. However, I don't think I'll be doing that any time soon because these colors are perfect for every day & night! March 10, 2013
The Glinda and Theodora Palettes I couldn't decide which pallet I wanted so I purchased BOTH! I have to say, I love love love both of them. I find that I use the Glinda pallet more for during the day and the Theodora pallet for night. That is just my preference though. Also, the Theodora pallet red lipstick is a bit too harsh for my skin tone but it's a lovely color. I would highly recommend either one or both of these pallets. If you are on the fence about this purchase just buy it! UD has their Love-It-or-Leave-It guarantee so you can't go wrong. :) February 17, 2013
Best Valentine's Gift Ever I have always been obsessed with the Wizard of Oz since I was a kid, so when I found out Urban Decay was making this I was so excited! My boyfriend purchased the Theodora palette for me for Valentine's Day. It suited me better than the Glinda palette because it had darker colors, and I enjoy wearing a smoky eye look most of the time. The colors go on REALLY smooth, and look really awesome smoked out! I even love the gold color which I was unsure about at first because I haven't worn many yellows in the past. Love trying something new though! I am an avid Urban Decay user and most of my makeup collection is from their website. This is my first "build your own" palette from Urban Decay, and I think this has become an easy fav. Favorite UD Palette EVER I didn't think UD could bring out a pallette that I adore more than the Naked ones, but they have done. I am so in love with the Glinda Pallette... there has never been a pallette that has managed to have all of the shades be exactly what I have been looking for, until now. I love every single color, they are versatile - you can create subtle day time looks but also heavier night time looks and you only need the shadows that are in the pallette. The case is beautiful and thoughtful, because it is tin it is well protected and easy to carry around. LOVE IT. March 11, 2013
These palettes are a must have! I bought both the Glinda & Theodora palettes & I love them both. The colors are so beautiful & they blend well. I really hope UD makes these new shades permanent. I dred the day when my shades run out because I don't want to replace any of these colors with something that's "close enough". The value of these palettes is fantastic too. If you "build your own" just one palette will cost you over $100. For that price you can buy both of these & have more shades to play with since several are duo shades. The Great and Powerful UD! After seeing these palettes in Sephora and Macy's, I had to learn more about this line. That same evening there was info on HSN with a full tutorial on the products. I became obsessed and bought them in the mall the following morning. I opened it up and played with the colors. All of the colors have amazing saturation and the artistry in the application cards are truly inspiring. After practicing and watching videos on YouTube, I learned about the best kept secret (UD). My 1st UD palette & it's love @ first sight! I'm a newbie to UD. When I was first introduced to UD, I'm like "wow!" The colors and packaging designs of the shadows are highly pigmented & " interesting". It's really easy to apply with its smooth touch. You can even wear it with only one shade for a smoky eye look! Glinda beautiful colors for all skin tones! I originally bought this palette for the packaging as silly as that may sound. I did not think I was going to like to colors because I have a darker skin tone. I was totally wrong? All of the colors are beautiful on me. This is also a really great "going out" palette with the silver and gold. The pink makes a gorgeous highlighter as well! For those with darker skin tones don't be discouraged by the cool colors they're great. March 8, 2013
Outstanding quality, Highly recommended! Urban Decay has done it once again never let's me down I'm head over heels with this amazing product, the packaging was really cute, and the tin case caught my eye, smart way to keep the colors cool and dry. Also the new interchangeable eyeshadow system they came up with was a great idea! The color pay out is outstanding, very true to their colors. You could never go wrong with this palette, so many looks to choose from, sexy, smokey, natural, subtle and sleek, every look in one palette, I could just throw this in my travel bag and go. My favorite part is the best of the best eye liner ever in zero, and the red super smooth and creamy lipstick pencil. Bang for your buck This is a fantastic way to start your Urban Decay collection. I had never tried UD but saw the Oz palettes on Sephora. I knew I had to have them. I started with Thedora and was absolutely impressed with the value and quality of the palette. It came with six shadows, a large eyeliner, and lip crayon. I am not a huge fan of red lips on me but loved the way the lip crayon looked and felt. The shadows are great colors and are long lasting. I also loved the eyeliner. It went in very smooth and even though the tip appeared large I could still get that skinny eye liner line that I prefer. Overall great product and it is a remarkable value!!! I am purchasing the Glindora palette TONIGHT. I also purchased De Slick and the eye primers. I'm in love!! March 3, 2013
The Great and Poweful Shadow Palettes I just bought both of these palettes - one for me and one for my sister. I'm an earth toned kind of girl, so I got Theodora. She prefers sheers and has been wanting more color, so she got Glinda. Both are JUST AS GORGEOUS as they appear in the photos. Both have extremely unique colors. If you like neutral, earth toned shadows, you NEED Theodora. I guarantee there's colors in the palette you have no duplicates for. I know I didn't. If you like fun colors and love experimenting with makeup, Glinda is the palette for you. This one is truly unique. There's colors I can't even describe with words in the palette. All of which are subtle enough to be worn anywhere any day, but buildable enough to create a dramatic makeup look for fun nights out. ;) March 5, 2013
Beautiful colors! The Glinda Palette was my very first Urban Decay purchase. I have always been loyal to a competitor's shadows, but after using the Glinda Palette, I am in love with Urban Decay's shadows. They are super blendable, very pigmented, never chalky and have great staying power ( my shadow was still on after a Zumba class). I have since purchased the Theodora, Naked and Naked Basics Palettes because I just love their shadows. Both the Glinda and Theodora Palettes have extremely beautiful, wearable colors that work well with just about everything. March 8, 2013
Which to chose? BOTH! I admit I have an extreme weakness for UD palettes but I think that is because the quality and value are outstanding. At first I was torn on which palette to choose, Glinda or Theodora...in the end I got both. I am so happy that I did! I am fair brunette with green eyes and all of these eye shadows are flattering. In LOVE with Urban Decay and the Theodora Palette!!! This palette caught my eye, and was actually a Valentine gift from my wonderful boyfriend :-) The price seemed a little steep for me, but, after trying out the shadow, eyeliner and lip gloss for the FIRST time, I understood that you get exactly what you pay for. This make up is INCREDIBLE and now my new favorite brand. Some of the colors are a little bold, but, can be toned down if blended with the lighter shades, and blending is incredible easy and smooth. I put my own lip gloss over every lipstick/ lip pencil that I use, because I love the glossy feel and look. Every single other time I try to do this, the color comes off or the color doesn't blend well or stay at all. The Urban Decay lip gloss that comes with this palette stays an incredibly long time on its own, and when I add my gloss on top of it, it stays super shiny, slick, and I don't have any problems with it at all! I'm getting the eye primer soon, but, even without it, these shadows stay on a really good amount of time without creasing or fading. I am completely in love with this makeup and am already making plans to buy more. If you've wanted to try Urban Decay, this palette is definitely a chance to try out a few of their options. Just Beautiful! I received the Theodora palette as a gift and couldn't be happier! The shadows are well-pigmented and the shades work well together. I like the metal packaging; it's easy to keep clean and the fact that I can pop the shadows out, is added bonus. The 24/7 Zero pencil (I have at least 6 of these) is a nice addition. I am no stranger to Urban Decay palettes and in addition to the Naked palettes, I can use Theodora daily. The 24/7 Lip Pencil that accompanies this palette is a new product for me and a nice surprise. The color is so red and glossy, that I have to mute it for daytime wear, but nevertheless, I will be purchasing more of these, because of the quality and longevity of wear. Glinda ~ Ethereal Beauty As a Child I wanted to dress up as Glinda (the good witch) every Halloween and now I can create a Glinda inspired look every day! When I saw this palette I was immediately in love! The packaging is so pretty and has a fairy like ethereal look. The beautiful tin case is just an intro to the absolutely amazing new eye shadow colors inside. There's a mix of pastels and bold shadows that can create both naturel and Smokey looks too. The most unique shadow in this palette is called Aura, a split blue & pink iridescent shadow that is unlike any other! To top it all off the palette comes with in 24/7 pencil in the color Rockstar {a brownish purple color} & a super saturated lip pencil in the color Glinda {a nude rose gold} that compliments all 8 eye shadows. It’s nice to finally get some lighter feminine shades from Urban Decay, instead of the repetitive neutral palettes... A heavenly palette for all you good witch’s out there! March 5, 2013
Beautiful Colors :) I am absolutely in love with this palette. I am typically a neutral shadow user, but the soft bright colors are perfect and just in time for spring. The Oz shadow (especially the silver) is very thick and metallic and beautiful. My personal favorite is Aura, the blue iridescent side in particular but both are so pretty! True, they are not as pigmented but with a little extra on the brush and some primer it still works wonderful! I am and will always be a loyal urban decay customer, so of course this palette made me very happy! March 10, 2013
A fantastic palette I got the Theodora set and I can't get enough of it. It's got some beautiful neutrals that I can wear to work and then jazz it up to go out at night. If you have green eyes this set really makes them pop! Also, I felt that considering what you get, it's a fantastic value. Six shadows, an eyeliner and a lip pencil makes this a big purchase and a good "starter" set for someone who might be a novice to makeup. It's not quite as girly as Glinda looks, but it's definitely got some pizazz and can dress up a lot of different looks. March 11, 2013
I GOT BOTH PALETTES! As usual the colors are amazingly buttery and pigmented but these palettes are amzing. The colors are beautiful. The theodora palette is earthy and amazingly amazing. lol. My only problem is that two of the colors in this palette look the same but they aren't once you put them on you can see the difference. the glinda palette is a fairytale in a palette. its all princess colors but you can definately create a fierce look with this palette. Love my Theodora! This is an amazing set for such a great value! I only have Theodora, but I'm getting my hands on the Glinda palette as soon as I can! Theodora has such silky eye shadows and they are perfect for a neutral everyday look or you can take it darker and dramatic! Having them be full-size is great because if I'm on the go I can depot one and put it in a single case, or else I can even package it in my buildable UD palette! The Super Saturated pencil is such a beautiful red, it definitely reminds me of the Wicked Witch's lips! The 24/7 pencil is a great bonus, it's very pigmented and creamy and perfect anywhere on the eye. The packaging is gorgeous, especially Glinda's! More Magical Than I Expected! I went with the "Glinda" palette, simply because it was different from what I usually wear from Urban Decay. (LOVE my Nakeds). I bought it online, without having physically seen it in a store, and was not disappointed. "Illusion" is an amazing peachy brow color that compliments my hazel eyes perfectly. It's one I hope that UD will bring back at some point. "South" is a beautiful taupe color similar to "Stray Dog" or "Mushroom" but with more shimmer. One of the main reasons why I went with "Glinda" was for "Aura" which is similar to Trucco's Angel Face which I used to be obsessed with and that no longer exists. It's got a great blue shift and it's fun to brush it on top of black liner to get a totally different look. I also love that, although all the UD palettes have always been full-size, this one is in the regular pots and in a changeable kit where you can mix and match with your other UD favorites. Theodora AND Glenda Pallettes These pallettes are truly awesome! I bought both palettes when I saw them because I couldn't choose which I wanted. The great thing about both is you can go from day to night! In the Glenda palette you can have a sweet girly day look and a princess clubbing look all in one. Then with the Theodora you can use the gorgeous browns for a natural day look or you can add the greens and the gorgeous lip colour for a really vampy look. The high gloss lip colours are amazing, and the one in the Glenda colour is the PERFECT shimmer nude. I will definitely get a lot of use from it. From the Theodora the red is a true fifties bombshell colour. Generally it is hard to find reds that go good with my skin tone because they often look too orange, but this one is PERFECT. The eyeliners are very smooth and get onto my water line great! The purple is a lot darker then I expected, it is a nice dark deep plum. The black is a classic and goes great with both pallettes. The palettes themselves are build your own style, meaning you can pop out the shadows when your out and replace them with a similar colour, OR you could mix and match between both to create your ultimate palette. The pastels in the Glenda palete would look amazing on any skin tone (pastels look good on EVERYONE) especially witht he great colour payout. The theodora browns would be great for any skin tone in a daily look as well. This palette is a great value, but REMEMBER it does NOT come with brushes, you will need your own. April 10, 2013
Got Glinda, now I need Theodora too! I just got the Glinda pallet in the mail today and it is all that I had hoped it be! I love the purple, pink, silver gold and opal tones in this set! The silver and gold with microglitter are amazing, but a bit difficult to work with because the glitter can fall out onto your cheeks. I don't mind it though because I think it is just something that happens with microglitters and it works not as much of a problem with a primer or epoxy and can be easily wiped off. GREAT PRODUCT all i have to say is that i love it, i was able to get the classic smokey eye look with the top three, and i just love the dark yellow!. i also love the design on the pallet. its great its what i like the most is that once am out of one shade i can buy another and replace it with the new one. Beautiful Colors, Cumbersome Setup This was my first Urban Decay purchase and definitely my first time spending this much money on makeup, but as an Oz fan I thought I needed this in my life. First off, the colors are really pretty; I chose Glinda since a lot of the colors are similar to what I already use on a daily basis, so the palette would fit well into my look. The colors go on smoothly, and blend nicely. I did not have any problem with color spilling or smearing or glitter falling out. That being said, I used their directions card my first time out, and so have not tried the "Oz" silver and gold glitter since they are not called for. I wish UD had put in a basic shimmery vanilla color instead since Michelle Williams obviously has something similar on her inner eye corners: Oz just seems like filler put in to make the palette edgier. The directions card was very hard to use. Only some colors are described (and Aura is once called violet, and once called rose while the website calls it iridescent white w/blue shift and iridescent white w/red shift). So I wasted a lot of time running to my computer trying to figure out which color is which. The palette itself is a nice size for traveling and I think I'll replace Oz with a more everyday color and have a nice set to travel with, though I wish there was a slot for the lip pen or a shadow brush since they were thoughtful and put a spot in for the eyeliner pencil. Lastly, I really like the eyeliner pencil and lip color. They both apply really smoothly and look natural, though the lip color looks nothing like Michelle Williams' color. February 23, 2013
So Suprised This is such a lovely palette, whose colors are unique in my 100ish eyeshadow collection. I wasn't interested in it until I saw it in person and swatched it-I was blown away. Every color is super pigmented and applies wonderfully (one even has UD's trademark silver glitter which I adore). When i say pigmented i mean PIGMENTED. mY MUM tried Tornado, and was like WOAH i have to blend I've never used eyeshadow this pigmented, lol. And the two shades that look like white are full of magical duochrome goodness. Now that I have it I love EVERYTHING about this palette. I like using it for the look suggested; i like using it for other looks; i like that it's refillable; i like that it's heavy duty. The list really could go on. Favorite UD Palette EVER I didn't think UD could bring out a pallette that I adore more than the Naked ones, but they have done. I am so in love with the Glinda Pallette... there has never been a pallette that has managed to have all of the shades be exactly what I have been looking for, until now. I love every single color, they are versatile - you can create subtle day time looks but also heavier night time looks and you only need the shadows that are in the pallette. The case is beautiful and thoughtful, because it is tin it is well protected and easy to carry around. LOVE IT. March 11, 2013
These palettes are a must have! I bought both the Glinda & Theodora palettes & I love them both. The colors are so beautiful & they blend well. I really hope UD makes these new shades permanent. I dred the day when my shades run out because I don't want to replace any of these colors with something that's "close enough". The value of these palettes is fantastic too. If you "build your own" just one palette will cost you over $100. For that price you can buy both of these & have more shades to play with since several are duo shades. The Great and Powerful UD! After seeing these palettes in Sephora and Macy's, I had to learn more about this line. That same evening there was info on HSN with a full tutorial on the products. I became obsessed and bought them in the mall the following morning. I opened it up and played with the colors. All of the colors have amazing saturation and the artistry in the application cards are truly inspiring. After practicing and watching videos on YouTube, I learned about the best kept secret (UD). My 1st UD palette & it's love @ first sight! I'm a newbie to UD. When I was first introduced to UD, I'm like "wow!" The colors and packaging designs of the shadows are highly pigmented & " interesting". It's really easy to apply with its smooth touch. You can even wear it with only one shade for a smoky eye look! How cool is that! I love Glinda palette! I love the "pop-out" design! Most importantly, now I am super crazy in love with UD! I will definitely purchase again! April 25, 2013
Glinda beautiful colors for all skin tones! I originally bought this palette for the packaging as silly as that may sound. I did not think I was going to like to colors because I have a darker skin tone. I was totally wrong? All of the colors are beautiful on me. This is also a really great "going out" palette with the silver and gold. The pink makes a gorgeous highlighter as well! For those with darker skin tones don't be discouraged by the cool colors they're great. March 8, 2013
Outstanding quality, Highly recommended! Urban Decay has done it once again never let's me down I'm head over heels with this amazing product, the packaging was really cute, and the tin case caught my eye, smart way to keep the colors cool and dry. Also the new interchangeable eyeshadow system they came up with was a great idea! The color pay out is outstanding, very true to their colors. You could never go wrong with this palette, so many looks to choose from, sexy, smokey, natural, subtle and sleek, every look in one palette, I could just throw this in my travel bag and go. My favorite part is the best of the best eye liner ever in zero, and the red super smooth and creamy lipstick pencil. Bang for your buck This is a fantastic way to start your Urban Decay collection. I had never tried UD but saw the Oz palettes on Sephora. I knew I had to have them. I started with Thedora and was absolutely impressed with the value and quality of the palette. It came with six shadows, a large eyeliner, and lip crayon. I am not a huge fan of red lips on me but loved the way the lip crayon looked and felt. The shadows are great colors and are long lasting. I also loved the eyeliner. It went in very smooth and even though the tip appeared large I could still get that skinny eye liner line that I prefer. Overall great product and it is a remarkable value!!! I am purchasing the Glindora palette TONIGHT. I also purchased De Slick and the eye primers. I'm in love!! March 3, 2013
The Great and Poweful Shadow Palettes I just bought both of these palettes - one for me and one for my sister. I'm an earth toned kind of girl, so I got Theodora. She prefers sheers and has been wanting more color, so she got Glinda. Both are JUST AS GORGEOUS as they appear in the photos. Both have extremely unique colors. If you like neutral, earth toned shadows, you NEED Theodora. I guarantee there's colors in the palette you have no duplicates for. I know I didn't. If you like fun colors and love experimenting with makeup, Glinda is the palette for you. This one is truly unique. There's colors I can't even describe with words in the palette. All of which are subtle enough to be worn anywhere any day, but buildable enough to create a dramatic makeup look for fun nights out. ;) March 5, 2013
Beautiful colors! The Glinda Palette was my very first Urban Decay purchase. I have always been loyal to a competitor's shadows, but after using the Glinda Palette, I am in love with Urban Decay's shadows. They are super blendable, very pigmented, never chalky and have great staying power ( my shadow was still on after a Zumba class). I have since purchased the Theodora, Naked and Naked Basics Palettes because I just love their shadows. Both the Glinda and Theodora Palettes have extremely beautiful, wearable colors that work well with just about everything. March 8, 2013
Which to chose? BOTH! I admit I have an extreme weakness for UD palettes but I think that is because the quality and value are outstanding. At first I was torn on which palette to choose, Glinda or Theodora...in the end I got both. I am so happy that I did! I am fair brunette with green eyes and all of these eye shadows are flattering. The eye pencils are perfection, Zero and Rockstar? It doesn't get any better. The lippies are pretty too! All around a wonderful value and one that true UDer's should not pass up! January 30, 2013
In LOVE with Urban Decay and the Theodora Palette!!! This palette caught my eye, and was actually a Valentine gift from my wonderful boyfriend :-) The price seemed a little steep for me, but, after trying out the shadow, eyeliner and lip gloss for the FIRST time, I understood that you get exactly what you pay for. This make up is INCREDIBLE and now my new favorite brand. Some of the colors are a little bold, but, can be toned down if blended with the lighter shades, and blending is incredible easy and smooth. I put my own lip gloss over every lipstick/ lip pencil that I use, because I love the glossy feel and look. Every single other time I try to do this, the color comes off or the color doesn't blend well or stay at all. The Urban Decay lip gloss that comes with this palette stays an incredibly long time on its own, and when I add my gloss on top of it, it stays super shiny, slick, and I don't have any problems with it at all! I'm getting the eye primer soon, but, even without it, these shadows stay on a really good amount of time without creasing or fading. I am completely in love with this makeup and am already making plans to buy more. If you've wanted to try Urban Decay, this palette is definitely a chance to try out a few of their options. Just Beautiful! I received the Theodora palette as a gift and couldn't be happier! The shadows are well-pigmented and the shades work well together. I like the metal packaging; it's easy to keep clean and the fact that I can pop the shadows out, is added bonus. The 24/7 Zero pencil (I have at least 6 of these) is a nice addition. I am no stranger to Urban Decay palettes and in addition to the Naked palettes, I can use Theodora daily. The 24/7 Lip Pencil that accompanies this palette is a new product for me and a nice surprise. The color is so red and glossy, that I have to mute it for daytime wear, but nevertheless, I will be purchasing more of these, because of the quality and longevity of wear. Glinda ~ Ethereal Beauty As a Child I wanted to dress up as Glinda (the good witch) every Halloween and now I can create a Glinda inspired look every day! When I saw this palette I was immediately in love! The packaging is so pretty and has a fairy like ethereal look. The beautiful tin case is just an intro to the absolutely amazing new eye shadow colors inside. There's a mix of pastels and bold shadows that can create both naturel and Smokey looks too. The most unique shadow in this palette is called Aura, a split blue & pink iridescent shadow that is unlike any other! To top it all off the palette comes with in 24/7 pencil in the color Rockstar {a brownish purple color} & a super saturated lip pencil in the color Glinda {a nude rose gold} that compliments all 8 eye shadows. It’s nice to finally get some lighter feminine shades from Urban Decay, instead of the repetitive neutral palettes... A heavenly palette for all you good witch’s out there! March 5, 2013
Beautiful Colors :) I am absolutely in love with this palette. I am typically a neutral shadow user, but the soft bright colors are perfect and just in time for spring. The Oz shadow (especially the silver) is very thick and metallic and beautiful. My personal favorite is Aura, the blue iridescent side in particular but both are so pretty! True, they are not as pigmented but with a little extra on the brush and some primer it still works wonderful! I am and will always be a loyal urban decay customer, so of course this palette made me very happy! March 10, 2013
A fantastic palette I got the Theodora set and I can't get enough of it. It's got some beautiful neutrals that I can wear to work and then jazz it up to go out at night. If you have green eyes this set really makes them pop! Also, I felt that considering what you get, it's a fantastic value. Six shadows, an eyeliner and a lip pencil makes this a big purchase and a good "starter" set for someone who might be a novice to makeup. It's not quite as girly as Glinda looks, but it's definitely got some pizazz and can dress up a lot of different looks. March 11, 2013
I GOT BOTH PALETTES! As usual the colors are amazingly buttery and pigmented but these palettes are amzing. The colors are beautiful. The theodora palette is earthy and amazingly amazing. lol. My only problem is that two of the colors in this palette look the same but they aren't once you put them on you can see the difference. the glinda palette is a fairytale in a palette. its all princess colors but you can definately create a fierce look with this palette. These are great for the price since you are also getting a eye pencil and lipstick . March 8, 2013
Love my Theodora! This is an amazing set for such a great value! I only have Theodora, but I'm getting my hands on the Glinda palette as soon as I can! Theodora has such silky eye shadows and they are perfect for a neutral everyday look or you can take it darker and dramatic! Having them be full-size is great because if I'm on the go I can depot one and put it in a single case, or else I can even package it in my buildable UD palette! The Super Saturated pencil is such a beautiful red, it definitely reminds me of the Wicked Witch's lips! The 24/7 pencil is a great bonus, it's very pigmented and creamy and perfect anywhere on the eye. The packaging is gorgeous, especially Glinda's! More Magical Than I Expected! I went with the "Glinda" palette, simply because it was different from what I usually wear from Urban Decay. (LOVE my Nakeds). I bought it online, without having physically seen it in a store, and was not disappointed. "Illusion" is an amazing peachy brow color that compliments my hazel eyes perfectly. It's one I hope that UD will bring back at some point. "South" is a beautiful taupe color similar to "Stray Dog" or "Mushroom" but with more shimmer. One of the main reasons why I went with "Glinda" was for "Aura" which is similar to Trucco's Angel Face which I used to be obsessed with and that no longer exists. It's got a great blue shift and it's fun to brush it on top of black liner to get a totally different look. I also love that, although all the UD palettes have always been full-size, this one is in the regular pots and in a changeable kit where you can mix and match with your other UD favorites. Theodora AND Glenda Pallettes These pallettes are truly awesome! I bought both palettes when I saw them because I couldn't choose which I wanted. The great thing about both is you can go from day to night! In the Glenda palette you can have a sweet girly day look and a princess clubbing look all in one. Then with the Theodora you can use the gorgeous browns for a natural day look or you can add the greens and the gorgeous lip colour for a really vampy look. The high gloss lip colours are amazing, and the one in the Glenda colour is the PERFECT shimmer nude. I will definitely get a lot of use from it. From the Theodora the red is a true fifties bombshell colour. Generally it is hard to find reds that go good with my skin tone because they often look too orange, but this one is PERFECT. The eyeliners are very smooth and get onto my water line great! The purple is a lot darker then I expected, it is a nice dark deep plum. The black is a classic and goes great with both pallettes. The palettes themselves are build your own style, meaning you can pop out the shadows when your out and replace them with a similar colour, OR you could mix and match between both to create your ultimate palette. The pastels in the Glenda palete would look amazing on any skin tone (pastels look good on EVERYONE) especially witht he great colour payout. The theodora browns would be great for any skin tone in a daily look as well. This palette is a great value, but REMEMBER it does NOT come with brushes, you will need your own. April 10, 2013
Got Glinda, now I need Theodora too! I just got the Glinda pallet in the mail today and it is all that I had hoped it be! I love the purple, pink, silver gold and opal tones in this set! The silver and gold with microglitter are amazing, but a bit difficult to work with because the glitter can fall out onto your cheeks. I don't mind it though because I think it is just something that happens with microglitters and it works not as much of a problem with a primer or epoxy and can be easily wiped off. GREAT PRODUCT all i have to say is that i love it, i was able to get the classic smokey eye look with the top three, and i just love the dark yellow!. i also love the design on the pallet. its great its what i like the most is that once am out of one shade i can buy another and replace it with the new one. Beautiful Colors, Cumbersome Setup This was my first Urban Decay purchase and definitely my first time spending this much money on makeup, but as an Oz fan I thought I needed this in my life. First off, the colors are really pretty; I chose Glinda since a lot of the colors are similar to what I already use on a daily basis, so the palette would fit well into my look. The colors go on smoothly, and blend nicely. I did not have any problem with color spilling or smearing or glitter falling out. That being said, I used their directions card my first time out, and so have not tried the "Oz" silver and gold glitter since they are not called for. I wish UD had put in a basic shimmery vanilla color instead since Michelle Williams obviously has something similar on her inner eye corners: Oz just seems like filler put in to make the palette edgier. The directions card was very hard to use. Only some colors are described (and Aura is once called violet, and once called rose while the website calls it iridescent white w/blue shift and iridescent white w/red shift). So I wasted a lot of time running to my computer trying to figure out which color is which. The palette itself is a nice size for traveling and I think I'll replace Oz with a more everyday color and have a nice set to travel with, though I wish there was a slot for the lip pen or a shadow brush since they were thoughtful and put a spot in for the eyeliner pencil. Lastly, I really like the eyeliner pencil and lip color. They both apply really smoothly and look natural, though the lip color looks nothing like Michelle Williams' color. February 23, 2013
So Suprised This is such a lovely palette, whose colors are unique in my 100ish eyeshadow collection. I wasn't interested in it until I saw it in person and swatched it-I was blown away. Every color is super pigmented and applies wonderfully (one even has UD's trademark silver glitter which I adore). When i say pigmented i mean PIGMENTED. mY MUM tried Tornado, and was like WOAH i have to blend I've never used eyeshadow this pigmented, lol. And the two shades that look like white are full of magical duochrome goodness. Now that I have it I love EVERYTHING about this palette. I like using it for the look suggested; i like using it for other looks; i like that it's refillable; i like that it's heavy duty. The list really could go on.
