I ordered "Loaded" to try out the new color formula and I can't put into words how impressive it is! The texture is creamy and glides on with a satiny finish, and the color delivery is incredible- I can wear this color all day and not have it smudge or fade away. If you are on the fence about a green/teal to try out, definitely get this shade! It's duo toned and adds a dark dramatic touch to any look. THANK YOU UD! Great products as always. April 23, 2012I have the smoked palette and 10 new singles They are fantastic. Very soft, suede like. Very high pigmented and staying especially with primer potion. They are all extremely complimentary to each other. I've never touched or used better eye shadow in my life. This is truly UD's specialty now aside from their 24/7 pencils and Naked Collection. The only thing I wanted to throw in is that "Haight" and "Deep End" are very similar in color. I would only choose one and if I had to choose it would be Deep End so I would not recommend buying the both of them. (Which I did by accident not realizing how similar they were hehe). But everything else is fantastic fantastic fantastic. Especially the matte Naked Palette I can't live without it. February 25, 2013Quickly becoming my new favorite! I have been using Urban Decay eyeshadow for a LONG time (10+ years). They have never been my favorite brand quality-wise; I purchased them for their fun and daring colors. That is what they did best! Over time the quality improved, but this recent revision to the formula has me looking at them a lot more seriously! For the colors I selected, the color payoff is fantastic and the shadow itself is smooth (almost creamy) - it feels luxurious! I have to do more comparisons with some of my other favorite shadow brands - but the combination of color selection, saturation, and smoothness of the shadow is definitely making me reach for them more often. And the palette system works like a dream! April 18, 2012Great poduct! I love their eye shadows! Very good quality. There are some who believe that getting a lower level brand, even lower than something like Maybelline is just as good as Urban Decay. And no offense to Maybelline (I love their products too), but very few brands have the same color payout and staying power that Urban Decay's eye shadow has. Then match it up with their very famous Eyeshadow Primer Potion, and that eyeshadow isn't going anywhere! Despite the fact that it is kinda pricy, it is a great buy because of it's high quality. I was really sad to learn (through my use of many colors), that carmine is used as the pigment for so many of the purples and reds... and some of the browns. I would guess that carmine is one of the things that really helps create a deep pigment, which is what I love about the eyeshadows. So sad! On the plus side, I'm glad that all of the ingredients are listed for each specific color, and that they don't usually use "MAY INCLUDE" anymore! Stinkin' allergies!! November 16, 2012The best and cruelty free For years and years my daughter raved and raved about UD eyeshadows and for about five years I didn't really listen to her. I treated myself to the Midnight Emergency Kit for Christmas 2011 to see what all the fuss was about. I am nearly 50 and a total UD convert. It is so great to have such a fantastic range of products, colours, so luxurious to use and totally cruelty free, many products also paraben and bismuth free. I have just purchased the custom palette and put in, Sin, Sellout, Virgin, Verve and Haight. For anyone looking to get something similar to Midnight 15 - Verve is very similar. I went back to get more eyeshadows, wanted Evidence, and Shattered and ended up buying the 15 year aniversary palette as they had some left from Christmas. Anyone who is older and thinking this is a brand for teenagers, as I did in the beginning, do not be put off. The quality of these eyeshadows are far far far superior to the other premium brands out there, not sure if I can name them, you know the ones all the French houses etc.... For anyone with sensitive skin - do not hesitate, I have the most reactive easy to irritate skin ever and to date I have never ever had any irritation or anything from an UD product, I now use the mascara's Lush Lash and the new Big Fatty, Lush Lash system, Cheek Tint and Lip Junky gloss.. all products are absolutely gorgeous. Happily the formula has gotten even better (though not by much, it didn't need any improvement) it's a bit softer and more blendable, with richer pigment. Be careful how much you put on the brush. You don't need that much because of the softness it kicks up a lot of product. I find the fallout of the glittery shades to still be there, although not as bad as they used to be because the glitter particles seem to be smaller now. The original Uzi used to scratch my eyes really badly but the new one doesn't. I would love for Urban Decay to put out some new colors (or bring back some discontinued) because from what I can tell all of these have been released before either in single or palette form. I would love to see Acid Rain, Speed, Rush, Chains, Kiss, and others brought back to life. September 11, 2012Loaded, Hijack, and Evidence essentially black I am giving the eyeshadow as a whole a 4 star rating because I like the range of colors (though I wish they had more options in green), the eyeshadow goes on easily and blends well (even on my older skin), and I really like being able to mix and match colors in the build your own palettes. I did have problems with 3 shades in particular. I found that Loaded, Hijack, and Evidence were all essentially black or greyish black against my skin and showed almost none of the color that appears when you look at the makeup in the pan. I have very fair skin, so that may affect how the color looks on me. However I would suggest considering these three shades to be black with a hint of another color rather that the intense colors they appear to be on the website & even in the pan. March 7, 2013re-formulation FAIL I realize now why I absolutely hated the Naked 2 yet loved the Naked 1; the Naked 2 contains the new formula. I can't get most of the shadows to adhere! I've tried every primer from low-end to high-end and the urban decay setting spray; i've tried all sort of primer/base combinations with/without foiling. NONE of it will make the shadow stick to my eyes! Not even the best brushes!!!!! I'm extremely annoyed, fed up, and out of ideas and will probably cease purchasing any eyeshadow from Urban Decay. It's the worst quality eyeshadow i've ever come across. April 22, 2012simply the best eyeshadow for blendability and saturation I have very dry skin in winter that is oily in summer, and I have a hard time getting any makeup to stay put period. The urban decay eyeshadows have been a God send to me because they not only stay on for several hours, but they are so easy to blend for original color schemes, and they just turn out gorgeous. I get so many compliments on my eye makeup when I wear these colors. The latest colors are so pretty! I cannot wait for fall to get here where I can really dig into the more earthy colors! I am a makeup junkie and I have tried every brand of eyeshadow on the market. This is by far the best quality and at a good price. I bought Half Baked and it is GORGEOUS! It is so rich in pigment, all you need is one swipe, which makes it quick and easy (unlike so many other brands that are sheer and take forever to apply before you actually get some color). Half Baked is a beautiful golden bronze which complements my olive skin tone beautifully. I highly recommend this eyeshadow. March 5, 2013Amazing wear, some fallout UD has some of the best shadows I have ever used. The colour payoff is AMAZING (even without a primer, although I suggest using one). They blend easily and the creamy texture of the shadows causes them to crease less than some of the other brands that I've used. My only complaints are that the colours with the glitter/mica tend to have bad fallout (not a huge deal if you're prepared) and there isn't a very big selection of matte colours. A girl can only take so much shimmer! These are very small complaints when comparing it to the overall quality of the shadows, though. The eyeshadows I used to use were such poor pigmentation and quality, but I had no idea they were. I used to struggle to get the makeup looks I had seen in magazine and was so naive as to why. I tried these eyeshadows and never looked back! They are all so smooth, creamy and pigmented. I got all my friends hooked on them and the ones who don't own any of their shadows come over just to use mine haha (yes I do sanitize my makeup) September 3, 2012Great for any look! What I love about Urban Decay eye shadows is not only the way they glide onto your skin like satin, or that they are so pigmented a palette will last years before you hit pan, it is that they have such a variety of colors, you can use UD shadows for any kind of look. You can do natural or smokey, bright or neutral, and their colors blend together so nicely, you can mix it up with different color combinations and finishes. Definitely worth the price, invest in these and the quality and lifespan will not let you down. I have *never* had an Urban Decay shadow break on me. March 5, 2013Like velvet, highly pigmented, but.... be careful not to pop it in and out too much! I fidget a lot, and I started absent-mindedly popping my new eyeshadow in and out of the base of the container while watching tv. After about 15-20 times or so, I noticed that the eyeshadow itself was starting to bulge upward, as though my pushing it out was also pushing the pigment up and out. I doubt that any normal person would pop it in and out so many times in succession, but I figured it's worth a head's up! The eyeshadows themselves, as others have said, feel like velvet and are the creamiest eyeshadows I've ever used. Highly pigmented, as usual, and very easy to work with. Plus, being able to pop it out makes it much easier to depot, so it's win-win whether you want to use UD's palette or not! I think that UD has completely ruined me for other eyeshadows... :) May 1, 2012Love the Product, Disappointed About the Selection... Hands down, 'Mary Jane' is my favorite color of all time. I adore the new formula but my beloved Mary Jane is not an option in the new line selection, nor will it fit into the new 'build your own palate' case. In addition to Mary Jane (a silvery blue), Kiddie Pool (a sparkley light-ish blue), Strip (an awesome silver), and Hotpants (hot pink) are also not options. I haven't found a better silver our there than Strip and I'm not thrilled I cannot include these colors in my build-you-own palate selection. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they add more of the old colors in the newer formula and cases but I'm not holding my breath. On the plus side, a few of my old favorites DID carry over and were remade with the new formula: Grifter, Sin, Last Call, Maui Wowie, Oil Slick and YDK are all available. Out of these updated versions, Sin and Oil Slick are the only new 'versions' I've tried and I'll replace my older shades as I run out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the shades are congruent -- online the pictures of a few of them look quite different (like Maui Wowie). July 5, 2012Best eyeshadows I love these eyeshadows. The pigment is deep and rich with every color I've tried (at least 8 now) and the powder feels smooth and soft, even the colors with glitter. How they make glitter soft, I don't know. The powder goes on well with brushes or fingers. I started buying these because they don't bother my eyes but continued because of the wonderful colors and the quality. The pots last a long time, and case seems to protect the powder. I typically carry two in my purse. I did have one break apart, but it was my fault. I dropped it on the sidewalk. I was crushed. I have been searching for a long time to have makeup that complimented each other and was in one line of product rather than a combination of different products from various product lines. I love this product soo much! The new Naked foundation is so light and blends so easily. My skin really does feel like it has nothing on it. The other reason I love this line of product is that is leaves me allergy free, it has taken me a long time to find a prodcut that doesn't cause me to break out in a rash. June 16, 2012The Best Eyeshadow EVER I have a few eye shadows from Urban Decay but my favorite shade hands down is Polyester Bride. Its the perfect off white shade with teeny tiny silver micro-glitter added in which in most light leaves a sexy yet classy sparkle I have yet to find in ANY other eyeshadow brand so its very unique not to mention blends so nicely with all of the other shades here. The formula goes on easy and is quite pigmented. The only downside can be the glitter fallout in the glittery shades however using Urban Decays Primer Potion solves that issue and allows for all day wear. March 12, 2013love everything UD! My only complaints are that the colours with the glitter/mica tend to have bad fallout (not a huge deal if you're prepared) and there isn't a very big selection of matte colours. A girl can only take so much shimmer! These are very small complaints when comparing it to the overall quality of the shadows, though. The eyeshadows I used to use were such poor pigmentation and quality, but I had no idea they were. I used to struggle to get the makeup looks I had seen in magazine and was so naive as to why. I tried these eyeshadows and never looked back! They are all so smooth, creamy and pigmented. I got all my friends hooked on them and the ones who don't own any of their shadows come over just to use mine haha (yes I do sanitize my makeup) September 3, 2012Great for any look! What I love about Urban Decay eye shadows is not only the way they glide onto your skin like satin, or that they are so pigmented a palette will last years before you hit pan, it is that they have such a variety of colors, you can use UD shadows for any kind of look. You can do natural or smokey, bright or neutral, and their colors blend together so nicely, you can mix it up with different color combinations and finishes. Definitely worth the price, invest in these and the quality and lifespan will not let you down. I have *never* had an Urban Decay shadow break on me. March 5, 2013Like velvet, highly pigmented, but.... be careful not to pop it in and out too much! I fidget a lot, and I started absent-mindedly popping my new eyeshadow in and out of the base of the container while watching tv. After about 15-20 times or so, I noticed that the eyeshadow itself was starting to bulge upward, as though my pushing it out was also pushing the pigment up and out. I doubt that any normal person would pop it in and out so many times in succession, but I figured it's worth a head's up! The eyeshadows themselves, as others have said, feel like velvet and are the creamiest eyeshadows I've ever used. Highly pigmented, as usual, and very easy to work with. Plus, being able to pop it out makes it much easier to depot, so it's win-win whether you want to use UD's palette or not! I think that UD has completely ruined me for other eyeshadows... :) May 1, 2012Love the Product, Disappointed About the Selection... Hands down, 'Mary Jane' is my favorite color of all time. I adore the new formula but my beloved Mary Jane is not an option in the new line selection, nor will it fit into the new 'build your own palate' case. In addition to Mary Jane (a silvery blue), Kiddie Pool (a sparkley light-ish blue), Strip (an awesome silver), and Hotpants (hot pink) are also not options. I haven't found a better silver our there than Strip and I'm not thrilled I cannot include these colors in my build-you-own palate selection. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they add more of the old colors in the newer formula and cases but I'm not holding my breath. On the plus side, a few of my old favorites DID carry over and were remade with the new formula: Grifter, Sin, Last Call, Maui Wowie, Oil Slick and YDK are all available. Out of these updated versions, Sin and Oil Slick are the only new 'versions' I've tried and I'll replace my older shades as I run out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the shades are congruent -- online the pictures of a few of them look quite different (like Maui Wowie). July 5, 2012Best eyeshadows I love these eyeshadows. The pigment is deep and rich with every color I've tried (at least 8 now) and the powder feels smooth and soft, even the colors with glitter. How they make glitter soft, I don't know. The powder goes on well with brushes or fingers. I started buying these because they don't bother my eyes but continued because of the wonderful colors and the quality. The pots last a long time, and case seems to protect the powder. I typically carry two in my purse. I did have one break apart, but it was my fault. I dropped it on the sidewalk. I was crushed. I think that these colors are in general lighter which may be way they take many applications to really show up, but when they do it looks beautiful. Tease is a stunning subtle mauve ish brown that is simple and classy, and Half Baked is an amazing bronze gold color. I will totally be buying more of these revamped shadows. I literally wear UD eyeshadow every single day (and I have a LOT of different eyeshadows from different brands in my collection!). I have been searching for a long time to have makeup that complimented each other and was in one line of product rather than a combination of different products from various product lines. June 16, 2012The Best Eyeshadow EVER I have a few eye shadows from Urban Decay but my favorite shade hands down is Polyester Bride. Its the perfect off white shade with teeny tiny silver micro-glitter added in which in most light leaves a sexy yet classy sparkle I have yet to find in ANY other eyeshadow brand so its very unique not to mention blends so nicely with all of the other shades here. The formula goes on easy and is quite pigmented. The only downside can be the glitter fallout in the glittery shades however using Urban Decays Primer Potion solves that issue and allows for all day wear. March 12, 2013love everything UD!
