Ratings Summary

Truly stays on 24/7 I have these in mini form (from a Naked travel set) and I LOVE them. One or two swipes over your lid, blend a bit, and they'll stay put no matter what. Even without primer, they look amazing but the colors are even better with primer. I use Sin and JuJu the most often for a natural color and inner eye brightening. But I also like using the brighter colors as a eyeliner for a tiny pop of electric blue or bright purple. Only few issues are that you'll waste some product when sharpening, but I don't use these up that quickly. Also, they set very quickly so if you want to blend, do it right away! August 9, 2012
Simple, easy, beautiful! I purchased this in "Rehab" after I realised I was using the 24/7 liner pencils as eyeshadows a bit too much... The colour is definitely just as pretty, pigmented, long lasting, and definitely just as easy to use :) Wish there were just as many colours as the liners though. (the only reason I took off one star from the overall product was because the one I received in the mail was a bit faulty :( the shadow stick wasn't stuck to the pencil casing properly and could come out completely...but easily fixable! So it's all ok :D ) October 6, 2011
Yay Portability!! I love the idea of these pencils, a shadow color that applies like a crayon. They glide on, just like the rest of the 24/7 family, and then dry down and stay down, I don't have a problem with these fading or creasing, with or withour primer. I love Clash and Delinquent. My eyes are blue, but I have a weakness for any blue or purple eye makeup. Wasteland is a good color it you want to add some emphasis to your crease over some other shadows, its a mostly matte brown. Also, I would LOVE to see Clinic in a 24/7 eyeliner form, it's the most BEAUTIFUL emerald green!! Love these pencils, hope to see more colors soon! September 10, 2011
Smoooth like Peanutbutter! The 24/7 liner is so rich and smooth it's amazing how little you have to use! The color payoff is amazing! The variety in colors is awesome! my favorite are the shimmery bronze liner in BAKED and the plum colored liners....of course black and brown are staple items! I do have to say though the only downside is that they wear down very quickly. and the price is a bit high for something that wears down so quickly. All in all I still have to say I love these liners! February 29, 2012
Crayons!!!! I have mixed feelings about this product. I love it because it is shaped like a crayon. I love crayons, they're chubby and cute and lovely and easy to use. BUT, my morphine always ends up flaking! (There's a sentence I never thought I would write) I also have this in Mercury and Barracuda, I haven't yet tried Barracuda, but Mercury is great, it never flakes like Morphine... but I love Morphine so much because it's MY FAVORITE COLOR (lilac) and just looks great. I just wish it wouldn't flake... However, the other shade seems to be doing what it is supposed to do... Also it would be nice to see a few more colors, maybe a deep godessy blue? Or a chronic green? Yes? :D August 18, 2011
Maybe not the best thing for contacts wearers I really wanted to like this product. I love the original 24/7 liners, so when the shadow pencils were announced, I was super excited. I bought Deliquent, a dark purple, which looked beautiful on the lid. HOWEVER. Both that first time I used it and every time since, something in the formula keeps getting into my eye, on my contact. Usually as soon as 10 minutes after application, a cloudy film begins to appear on part of my contact lens, obscuring my vision. It's easily removed with makeup remover, but throughout the day, more will get on the lens, making this product impossible for me to use if I'd like to see :( So buy this with caution if you wear contact lens. If anyone has any tips on preventing it from happening, please let me know, as I'd like to be able to use this! February 16, 2012
Decent little pencils, with drawbacks. I’ve recently realized that people are really into shadow pencils! Well, a while ago I got fed up with fallout and thought they’d be an excellent alternative to powders. They’re quick and easy, that’s for sure! But they do have a tendency to crease, even with a primer. They also fade! (I got Barracuda, Clinic, and Clash.) If you want to blend a powdered shadow into them or around them, that’s an awkward endeavor. The smearing, the solidifying.. Wow. I solved my fallout problems (or just overcame them?) and moved back to powdered eyeshadow. I know people who love these, or just shadow pencils in general and I WOULD recommend these to them! But I’m a pressed powder girl after all. March 5, 2013
Changed my mind about shadow pencils Have to admit I was really hesitant to buy one after having many disappointing experiences with shadow pencils. They were always greasy, or tugged on my skin, and then managed to crease and smear about 15 min after application. I used a tester on the back of my hand, allowed it to set, then tried to smear it. It stayed, so I thought I'd buy 1 and see. I bought the light purple shade, and tried it the next day- couldn't believe how easily it glided on, and stayed put! Needless to say, I went back and bought more colors. Great for when you are in a hurry. Just be careful, because if you mess up or want to blend you have to move fast. It sets very quickly. bearianna these pencils are amazing! they are creamy and blendable, and they stay on forever! :) i have two colors, and i love them. they stayed on through a 4 hour car trip. My only problem is that the more glittery ones don't go on as smoothly as the shimmery ones and take a little more work to blend. My example is Delinquent, which is a dark purple with light purple glitter inside. it seemed to skip across my lid, unlike my other color (rehab) which is shimmery. Other than that, i love these pencils and would consider repurchasing once i run out! August 17, 2011
Amazing!!! These pencils are so great that even my Dollar Store makeup buying mom had to have one! She had been using mine (in Delinquent) while visiting and couldn't go home without buying her own - her first makeup splurge ever! She runs the kitchen at the local jail and has been amazed by the staying power of this wonderful, wonderful product. Personally, I love using Midnight Cowboy as an under eye liner to brighten up my eyes and it also seems to help the liner on my water line stay put. I use at least one shade of these every day!!! March 1, 2012
Great Easy to Use Product These eyeshadow pencils pack a lot of punch. They're highly pigmented and apply very smoothly and evenly. I have one in Sin (a great neutral champagne color) and Morphine (a bright lilac purple). I decided on these two colors because I knew that I would use both of them as a base color for a few different makeup looks that I like. I'm not sure how the shadow pencils layer on top of each other; I've only used mine in combination with powder eyeshadows. The only downside to this product is the price. I haven't even gotten close to needing to replace either of them, though, so I'm hoping that they will go a long way! Overall I think it's another quality product from UD! April 16, 2012
TO....DIE.....FOR! Ok, so after countless visits to town and coming home to my long suffering fiancé with lines of many colours sampled on the back of my hands, many big sighs and rolls of eyes at the realisation that yet again the lure of the Urban Decay counter has sucked me in, I finally gave in to my desires and purchased the first of my little collection of this product! My first was midnight cowboy, a tried and tested favourite in my shadow boxes. WOW this pencil applies like a dream! intense fabulous depth of colour, non creasing too! Which is where many of this type of product fall by the wayside but not this time! Well done Urban Decay! I now neeeeeeeeed the entire set! Love them! February 28, 2012
Amazing, fast, and lasting. I ordered the 24/7 Shadow Pencil Stash which includes five pencils:Clash, Sin, Juju, Rehab, and Delinquent. It's a rather diverse set, but Clash and Sin really stand out. Clash makes a great eyeliner, especially with Sin all over the eye. The colors are very pigmented, I use them without primer and they stay on all day. Is super easy to apply them, if you can draw with a crayon, you can do this. I got one set and went back and got two more! I would highly recommend them. I've already gotten some for friends. The only possible con is that they dry quickly and can be hard to blend because of it. May 6, 2012
Best shadow pencil Love these shadow pencils. My favorites being Morphine (gorgeous), Lit, Sin, Midnight Cowboy ( all 3 make a great inner corner highlight), Mercury (great base to build a smokey eye over) & Rehab (great taupe). I use these as a base under my shadows or just swipe it on my lids and blend it in with my finger. Just blend after you swipe it before it sets. Wish they came in more colors. They last all day even without primer. Great quality. I hope that UD adds more shades to this line soon. Great product. August 9, 2012
Best pencil I've used many eye shadow pencils from many different brands, all promising long wear and water resistance. They all failed me, and creased while they were at it. I was a bit wary about trying these at first, so I doodled with a bunch of the colors on the back of my hands and walked around the mall, which included touching many things. When I went back to the store I had tried them on at, they were still there, not even smudged! So I gave one a go (Barracuda), and I have not yet been disappointed. They don't melt off, crease, or crumble away. They're amazing. They do take a little work to get off, but to me, that's a point in their favor. With oily eyelids, I WANT things to stick well. They look even better with a matching shadow over them, and they stick even better with UDPP underneath! August 24, 2011
Not what I expected I went to a makeup store and applied Sin to my hand. Two days later and two showers later, you could still see the shimmery champagne. I went back to the store and bought it. I give kudos to the staying power, but I did not like the application. It really tugged at my eyelids. Also, since one coat did not give me the pigment I desired, I had to apply it multiple times. It did not come out as expected. It was uneven and hard to apply. When I checked on my makeup later that day, there was a black crease. I know it wasn't my eyeliner because that never creases. I think this product if better for people who want a sheer coat of color on their lids. I'm not sure if it was just my type of eyelids that made it tug, but that was quite annoying. Overall, it gets a 3. I expect creamier shadows from UD! December 30, 2011
SIN... <3 not just for eyes, but for lips!!! :O I ordered a set off these in the pencil stash and my favorite has to be SIN. Although I use this in the inner corner of my eye, which makes my brown eyes pop. Sin can also be used as a highlighter on the cheeks and cupid bows!.. The awesome thing that I found out though was that I applied sin to the center off my lips and blended and it gave me the prettiest tint to my lips. It added a glow to the center making my lips, more fuller, and almost a nude-ish sorta color. WHICH WAS REALLY PRETTY! Im really shocked and when I'm done with this Im going to buy the full size ! URBAN DECAY YOU DID IT ONCE AGAIN!!! February 19, 2012
Warning...these are addicting. These shadow pencils are great for quick eye looks for those days when you just don't have time (or patience) to deal with a complicated look. They're are just so easy to use. I need to collect them all! Using just one as a wash of color all over the eye looks great but you can also blend two together very easily. I would recommend just using your finger to blend and to do it quickly; preferably doing one eye at a time. These colors set in a matter of seconds, which is actually a good thing, because once they're set, they don't budge. My favorite is Delinquent...seriously the most beautiful purple ever! February 3, 2012
24/7 ... the new love of my life The Urban Decay 24/7 liners are simply amazing. There is a hugely competitive market for eye liners out there, and it's hard to stand out in such a saturated field. Urban Decay has come up with the perfect product. The 24/7 liners go on very easily (no extra mess, and no need to apply 2-3 times), and STAY on. Gone are the days of fixing up your liner 4-5 times a day. The name really sums it up! The colors are vivid, pigmented and interesting! No complaints! June 10, 2011
Awesome! I got this pencil in the purple color as a gift with one of my purchases somewhere, and at first I was like "what am I going to do with this huge sparkly purple pencil?" But I didn't want to waste it, so I sat down and tried it out, and I'm so glad I did, I love to use this as an eyeliner now. It stays on all day, and it's nice because it gives you a little bit of glitter and color, even though the purple is a bit dark and sometimes it looks black. Either way I'm really happy that I tried this product and I think that this is an amazing product! February 21, 2012
Liner or Shadow: Glide on so easy!!! The 24/7 Glide on Shadow Pencils. They are wonderful, Amazing, Awesome. O.k O.k on to the review, I love to take these with me in my purse and use them when I have a last min need for eye shadow. Have the colors Rehab and Delinquent which are amazing colors and I can't wait to get more.but with the two colors I have I can to a few different fun or classic looks, and be ready for any thing. they last forever to with out any primer. I also use them as a eyeshadow base and they work amazing, I like that I can use them as eyeshadow or as a long wear eyeliner just awesome....and they do last. and Glide on is what they do Glide on with no tug at all to the lid. just awesome....a must have. March 5, 2013
Wish I'd tried them sooner I recently got these after having the 24/7 pencils for a long time, and now wish I'd tried them sooner! They are just as wonderful, with the added ability of being a shadow as well as a liner in one. They work wonderfully for a quick and easy eye look, whether you want bright and vibrant -I get SO many compliments when I wear Crash and Clinic- or classic and neutral like Sin, Juju, Wasteland- and go well with all my other UD products -Naked 1 and 2, the 24/7 liners, etc. Super long lasting, gorgeous shades and easy to use; what more can you ask for? I hope they continue to make more shades and make some of the ones that only come in sets #like Juju) available as a solo option as well. February 3, 2012
I love it! My eyes do not. I adore these pencils! I love bringing them with me to makeup events like Renaissance Faires because one shadow pencil can be used as an eyeliner or a shadow. I love that versatility! I love the color selection as well. Morphine had a special place in my heart. I love that iridescent lavender with my green eyes. My only complaint is that using either of the 24/7 glide on pencils irritates my eyes if I use them more than once a week. I develop swollen spots in my eyelids like sties (cysts), or my tear ducts will get irritated and it takes a while to get rid if it. I'm not sure if it is the glitter in it or a specific ingredient... But regardless, I love these and will keep buying them! March 6, 2013
Amazing color payoff, blendable, and long lasting! I got the Shadow Stash set so I have these in Delinquent, Clash, Sin, Juju, and Rehab. First off, these are the cutest eye pencils ever! They're like crayons - long-lasting, creamy, easy to use crayons that are easily sharpened with any sharpener that has a jumbo-sized slot. These eye pencils are also very long lasting (15+ hours for me), especially over the UD eye primer potion, and the color payoff is great. They go on the lid smoothly without tugging and you can blend them out a little bit, but after it sets, it stays on completely for the whole day until you remove it. These are perfect for those mornings when you simply don't have any time to spend on your makeup. Delinquent (rich, royal purple): easily blendable, dark enough to be used for eyeliner, but vibrant enough that it grabs your attention Clash (bright, electric blue): I had the most problems with this color because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get it to stay on! I don't even have oily lids! What little I did get on started to flake off after about an hour. It's a shame too, because the color is so cute and beautiful! Sin (champagne / frosty peach): easily blendable and great as a base! When used by itself I find that it gives me that "wide-awake" look. I also use this to line my lower lashes to subtly make my eyes look bigger. Juju (light, frosted taupe): again, easily blendable and you can blend this out for a neutral look or layer some shadows on top as well. Rehab (shimmery taupe): I love this color! Sometimes I blend this and Juju together, and sometimes I use this as a liner. It's not exactly dark enough to create contrast between shadow and liner, but it works for me! March 6, 2013
I need to own every color Absolutely AMAZING! I had to have this in Delinquent, and I JUST picked up Clinic and I'm so happy! These are so so easy to apply, and easy to blend out even if you aren't looking for that intense eyeliner/eyeshadow look. Once you apply it, you've got a few seconds to blend it out, fix mistakes, clean up lines, and after that, it is set in STONE! It absolutely will not budge for anyone or anything once dry. I find that layering other shadows on top of this has an awesome effect, especially more sheer eyeshadows. These will definitely get people talking when you wear them. Even if you're going for just a little pop of color, line your water line with this and it won't budge or be missed! February 3, 2012
expensive-cakey pencil shadow Actually, i really love these pencils because their superb color. But they do dissapoint me due to creasing, beside i think the texture is not really good. It makes buildable is implossible and mess all of because they cakey. They are very pigmented and amaizing color which do i love, but application is a bit difficult as they can get rather cakey on the lids. In my opinion, the glitter in the pencil is just too big for pencil shadow which move easily to my eyes. these pencils really do not recommended due to their quality and expensive. March 13, 2013
great as a base I love to wear these as a base. my favorite color is sin I cant be without one of these, this is a must have for me as I regularly use it as a base and a water line eyeliner. is really good to use as a base for the natural eye look or with any other browns that will go on the lid, and as a water line eyeliner it really helps to open the eyes and give it that pop. I do recommend you too to use it around your inner tear duct as a high light for that area it will give you that nice awake look, and really does give the eyes that pop. March 13, 2013
Tried the 5 pack (on sale) and love these! I tried the mini-version of these eyeshadow pencils (the stash) on sale. In the package I got Sin (champagne pink), Juju (limited edition taupe-y beige), rehab (medium brown), delinquent (purple), and clash (bright blue). I hadn't used eyeshadow pencils before, as I wasn't sure HOW. Well, they're so easy to use. I like to use either sin or juju on the lids with rehab or delinquent in the crease. I haven't managed to use clash yet. They glide on easily. They set fairly quickly so I do one eye at a time and then blend a bit with my finger. They take like 30 seconds per eye. They last all day. Pigmentation is great. You do need the grind house to sharpen, but that works with the eyeliner pencils too. April 27, 2012
As FABULOUS as fabulous can be! I always wear Urban Decay eye shadows-I especially love the bright and vibrant colors. I have never received so many compliments as I did today when I was wearing clash. It lasted all day (of course I have the UD Primer Potion on underneath). I could go out in a trash bag and have this eye shadow on and I would look great! It goes on very easy too! The glitter added to the shadow is an awesome bonus! April 27, 2012
Long Lasting Shadow Pencil I bought this shadow pencil in "Morphine", a light purple. I love the color and wear it often, especially when I am in a hurry. It goes on quickly, gives great coverage, and lasts all day. It looks like a cream shadow. The down side is that it kind of hurts to apply it. It pulls at your eyelid and doesn't feel so great. One great thing about this pencil is it is portable. You can toss it in your purse or overnight bag and unlike a powder or cream you don't have to worry about it getting all over everything.
24/7 ... the new love of my life The Urban Decay 24/7 liners are simply amazing.
