Smoooooth I've been eyeing this for a long time and decided to try some shades on at my local Sephora before springing for an online order. Well, I dabbed, smudged and scrubbed through every sample and could not find anything that got close to my skin tone. Now, you may think I must be some sort of strange, exotic beauty to have that kind of luck... but no, I'm just your average white girl. I did find more shades available online...but that doesn't help me out much if I can't test them. Aside from the sad misfortune of not finding the shade for ME, I will say that this product TOTALLY operates as advertised. It was light, blended well, looked natural and didn't seem to lose it's creamy texture....which you know has to be a miracle since the sample I was using had been sitting on that Sephora shelf for months! This foundation is beyond surreal. Creamy EXCELLENT coverage without looking heavy, usually one swipe is all you need for great,natural looking, be out all night coverage. Doesn't slip,slide or wander and doesn't look like you're wearing any makeup either, Don't toss the brush, it's great and specifically geared for this foundation, i would say use this brush only don't use any other foundation brush as you won't get the same application. Only concern - wider range of colors and perhaps some pink tones, all of these seem to be geared towards yellow tones. Some darker colors for the darker-skinned among us would be great too. great coverage, but broke me out =( I LOVE this foundation - it is super bendable and AMAZING coverage! However, my skin is extremely acne prone and the slightest pore clogging ingredient will break me out -- which is what happened with this! It covered my acne scars great, but winded up breaking me out so I had to stop using it. I was SOO upset because it made my skin look FLAWLESS! when I looked up "pore clogging ingredients" i found that Ethylhexyl Palmitate is the ingredient in this foundation that can clog pores. It was rated a 4 (5 being the highest) on the "pore clogging" scale. But that was the only ingredient i found that will clog pores, and its towards the very end, which means there may not be much of it in there, but like i said .. my skin is EXTREMELY acne prone, so that may be why i broke out. New favorite foundation! I wasn't sure when I bought this foundation if I would like it or not just because of the lack of shade variety. I don't know if I got lucky and "Illusion" just works perfectly for me, or if the makeup just blends so perfectly with every skin tone, but I am definitely impressed! It's so smooth and creamy, which makes it really easy to apply and blend. I used to finish my makeup routine with translucent powder, but now with the Surreal Skin, I don't have to. It dries to a powdery finish on its own and doesn't cake up like some powders do. I will definitely be buying this again! February 26, 2012

Not a good match for my skin I love Urban Decay. I've never bought a product I didn't like so I figured this would be a great bet. Unfortunately I didn't go so well. I admittedly have bad skin, blemishes/dry spots caused by said blemishes, general awkwardness. So it clung to the dry spots and seemed to just sit weird on me. But it felt like it would be great on more normal skin and it was sort of a pain to wash off so you know it would stay on! December 3, 2011
Good for girls on the go A UD sa applied my makeup once and among other things, she used this. I was determined that I didn't need another foundation, being quite content with my mineral makeup. And I left without it. Well, guess who showed up at the same UD counter the next day. While the accompanying brush is ok for on the go and touch-ups, I like using a kabuki or duo-fibre brush for applying this foundation. In some areas I want more coverage than others, and I find that Surreal Skin does the job. Also it leaves me with a silky smooth finish, and while my skin's sensitive and acne prone, I've never had an issue with this foundation. However, that may be because I use this for "special occasions", rather than every day as I prefer a lighter coverage for daytime. I'll wear this when I go dancing, and even though I often bring the compact, I rarely find myself doing touch-ups. The compact is quite handy. There's a separate compartment, in wich lies a half moon brush, and a mirror in the lid. April 23, 2012
Great color range I love this product as far as its ease of use and nice feel on the skin. My ONLY complaint (and sadly, the dealbreaker for me as well) is how much it accentuates ANY dryness on my face (flakes I don't even see without makeup!) Does the job! This product does exactly what it says it will, which is give you a fantastic finish without being super heavy or feeling gross. I pair this with the complexion primer potion and it goes on very nicely with the included brush. The big thing with formula is that it will look cakey or thick if you apply too much or don't blend, but that is such an easy fix, just avoid overloading the brush. It also doesn't seem to clog my pores or irritate my skin, which is a huge bonus! September 19, 2011
Better than expected! This is why I fell in love with UD I first want to say I am NOT a makeup person. I have tried out different brands like Clinique, Mac, and Prescriptives and even Almay. I hate foundation. Too greasy I always found. And I felt the weight on my skin, so I knew it was there and I would scratch at it through out the day. I went to a UD counter and wanted to try this out. As soon as the representative finished putting my make up on I was like, "thats it? you are done?" I did not feel a thing! I felt like i had nothing on! and when i touched my skin it was so velvety...I recommend this product. Everything else I have tried has been great too. Awesome Foundation First off: I love the compact! It's so cute! This foundation covers really well, and I actually like the brush that comes with it. It seemed like it was going to be difficult to use, but it's really not. The colors blend really well. I was able to pick my color out online the first time I bought this stuff, and it matched my skin tone perfectly. I'm pretty pale, and Nirvana is my color. It is a little expensive for the amount of product, but for a good foundation that doesn't break me out I'm willing to pay a little extra. April 23, 2012
Easy to use, great foundation I have been searching for a good foundation for ages now and decided to try this after buying NAKED 2 and being incredibly impressed with it. It comes with a wee brush which I was dubious about but it actually works well. It has good coverage, without looking heavy. I searched the world over and found true love! Wunderbar!!!! Cream to powder, light finish, covers all my problems. I have quite a bit of German heritage redness, oily in T-zone, this foundation adjusts to that. No allergic reaction on my skin. great color selection I use Surreal for winter, I am Light Medium, and Trance in the summer. I was never a fan of primers but you must try the Pore perfecting Primer with this you will be flawless! Lasts all day. Love It Forever!!!! December 4, 2011
Not really. Hm. This was not a great buy for me. Let’s forget that the lightest shade is about a shade too dark for me. It’s supposed to be a one-step makeup situation, but it’s very creamy and way less powder-y! I always put a powder on top of it. It was not kind to my oily skin and encouraged oil production and its BFF shininess. It’s also a high price for something that runs out VERY quickly. I went through one in about a month and a half with 3-4 days a week of use. I can see Naked causing this product to go extinct! There are significantly better performing one-step makeup products out there. March 5, 2013
Perfect coverage, a little pricey I have been a UD junkie for about 5 years now, but until I tried this foundation I wasn't able to find something that covers my pores without clogging them. I'm so pleased with how well this covers any redness I have, fixes the shadows under my eyes (even without concealer), and gives me a lasting matte finish. It's soft, it blends well, and it is very light. I was pleasantly surprised it matched my skin tone because I have that native american clay red skin, it has become increasingly difficult to find a matching shade. My only complaint is the amount of product for the price. I would gladly forfeit the beautiful packaging and brush for more product. Maybe UD should make compacts like this that we could put refills in (costing about half the price of the original compact)? I would switch over to the NAKED foundation if you made a cream to powder formula. I'm not big on liquid foundations. October 14, 2012

Great Stuff! I love the way this stuff feels. If you have dry spots this will make peeling show even worse. If you have dry skin majorly moisturize your skin real well before you put this on. It doesn't irritate my skin, and my skin is very easy to irritate. I looks great as well! Another tip is after applying with the brush, blend it is with your hands and you skin will look amazing!! I have fairly oily skin & so most cream foundations I tried were a BIG no no, then I tried U.D Surreal Skin Cream to Powder in Supernova...not greasy or heavy! Great product for normal skin, but not too kind to dry skin This product was a very innovative idea and I was super excited to try it, but when I did it did not go over well with my dry skin. I have really dry skin and had read a previous review that said that this product enhances all the dry areas on your face and makes them more prominent, but still tried it anyways. And boy where they right, the powder centralizes around the dry areas a lot and especially in sunlight you can see everything! I really loved the feel and coverage it provided so I determined to make it work. So some helpful tips if you do have dry skin, you can start off with not using that brush that come with the package because it leaves a lot of crease lines in your skin and does not work very well. After applying your daily moisturizer, brush small spots on for face with a foundation brush. Make sure to not put too much because you can always more later. And with a fluffy face brush or something similar, blend away. And when done you can smooth it out with your hands. The trick it not to add a lot at a time. I do this everyday and have made it work and love it! So I hope you guys find this helpful and good luck! December 25, 2011
I'm melting!!!! the brush it comes with sux, its super thin n takes forever to apply. it never dries it's super creamy and makes my eye make up smear. does not set dry like it claims. looks better with primer and the finishing spray did nothing to dry/set it. I'm white n my skin is perfect and i hate this product it smears when i hug ppl and its heavy you constantly feel it on ur face. It's oily and gave me pimples. My skin cant breath, and i look orange. i couldn't match my tone. :( but that's not the quality of the product though, that's the sells person... i returned it n got my money back. April 16, 2012
Eureka!!! Finally, after searching everywhere (and what seems like under the occasional rock or two) I've found a foundation that I just CANNOT live without. Being that I inherited my father's red-head complexion, I have extremely fair skin with pink undertones and when I first tried this product about a year ago I was skeptical that it would provide the coverage I need and want without being too dark. But after I used it for the first time, I found my doubts were completely erased. I bought this foundation in HAZE. This foundation not only covers, but it matches my skin tone to beyond perfection. When I ran out, went to several places trying to find it, but the closest place that I could find where I could get it was at least an hour away. Neither Sephora or Ulta carry this foundation in HAZE and I had to settle for something similar, which DID NOT match my skin tone at all even though it was their lightest shade. This product blew not only my doubts about it out of the water, but I will never go back to using another foundation ever again (except when I'm in a pinch). The only problems are that it's slightly expensive (which I don't care all that much about because I'd pay $75 just to have something match my skin so well) and that you don't get very much. I hope in the future that Urban Decay comes up with a "professional size" of this product like they have with the Eyeshadow Priming Potion. This is a product I would buy by the truckload. The Pros definitely outweigh the Cons in this case, because frankly, it's hard enough trying to find something that matches my skin tone without making my face look darker than the rest of my skin. I love this product I was just walking around ulta and one of UD's artists happened to be there. He showed me this product and I absolutely fell in love with it! I have very fair skin and don't need very much coverage. I use it in Illusion and it matches my skin perfectly. What I love about this product is that the coverage is buildable. Great product This makeup is very easy to use. Included is a flat powder brush. All you have to do is wipe the brush across the foundation and apply to your face. Its that easy. It blends into the skin nicely and doesn't look cakey at all, like a lot of foundation and powder can. If you are older, this is even better as it slides on very smoothly. I'm in my forties and this blends flawlessly. If you have sensitive skin, this is even more perfect, as you won't expect any problems with irritation. If you wear contacts, this is great, because you will have pwder flying up or around your eyes irritationg them. It was not what I expected... I thought that this foundation was going to have much more coverage since it is like a cream product. I got this in Supernova. I've got acne scarring and usually cream foundations give a very good coverage and help conceal better than liquid foundations but this product just didn't do the job. It isn't completely horrid though. The brush that came with it for me was just not good quality...I didn't like it. The foundation does give a sheer coverage. It leaves a satin to oily finish which is bad living in a humid place like Miami so I had to use powder to cover it up and it made me look even more oily throughout the day. The only thing that's ever worked for me! I've tried other very nice brands of foundations and powders and this is the only one that's worked for me. Because my skin is so light I have to be careful to not look like a ghost. I bought this in fate and it looks so natural!! I can even be in photos without worrying about the flash reflecting on my make up and washing me out! Fantastic!! I also love the brush that come with it. Makes life easier! Great creme-to-powder foundation. UD tends to be a hit or miss when it comes to face products, but this is definitely a winner. Long wearing with medium to full coverage. Can be difficult to apply when skin isn't properly prepped beforehand. The included brush is fantastic for the application of the foundation, and is easy to clean. The only con is that there aren't enough shades of this product for darker skintones. The darkest shade is only a perfect match for me during winter. NC45 for reference. I would definitely recommend this product, but I wish it were more WOC friendly. February 28, 2012

I'm melting!!!! the brush it comes with sux, its super thin n takes forever to apply. it never dries it's super creamy and makes my eye make up smear. does not set dry like it claims. looks better with primer and the finishing spray did nothing to dry/set it. I'm white n my skin is perfect and i hate this product it smears when i hug ppl and its heavy you constantly feel it on ur face. It's oily and gave me pimples. My skin cant breath, and i look orange. i couldn't match my tone. :( but that's not the quality of the product though, that's the sells person... i returned it n got my money back. April 16, 2012
Eureka!!! Finally, after searching everywhere (and what seems like under the occasional rock or two) I've found a foundation that I just CANNOT live without. Being that I inherited my father's red-head complexion, I have extremely fair skin with pink undertones and when I first tried this product about a year ago I was skeptical that it would provide the coverage I need and want without being too dark. But after I used it for the first time, I found my doubts were completely erased. I bought this foundation in HAZE. This foundation not only covers, but it matches my skin tone to beyond perfection. When I ran out, went to several places trying to find it, but the closest place that I could find where I could get it was at least an hour away. Neither Sephora or Ulta carry this foundation in HAZE and I had to settle for something similar, which DID NOT match my skin tone at all even though it was their lightest shade. This product blew not only my doubts about it out of the water, but I will never go back to using another foundation ever again (except when I'm in a pinch). The only problems are that it's slightly expensive (which I don't care all that much about because I'd pay $75 just to have something match my skin so well) and that you don't get very much. I hope in the future that Urban Decay comes up with a "professional size" of this product like they have with the Eyeshadow Priming Potion. This is a product I would buy by the truckload. The Pros definitely outweigh the Cons in this case, because frankly, it's hard enough trying to find something that matches my skin tone without making my face look darker than the rest of my skin. I love this product I was just walking around ulta and one of UD's artists happened to be there. He showed me this product and I absolutely fell in love with it! I have very fair skin and don't need very much coverage. I use it in Illusion and it matches my skin perfectly. What I love about this product is that the coverage is buildable. Great product This makeup is very easy to use. Included is a flat powder brush. All you have to do is wipe the brush across the foundation and apply to your face. Its that easy. It blends into the skin nicely and doesn't look cakey at all, like a lot of foundation and powder can. If you are older, this is even better as it slides on very smoothly. I'm in my forties and this blends flawlessly. If you have sensitive skin, this is even more perfect, as you won't expect any problems with irritation. If you wear contacts, this is great, because you will have pwder flying up or around your eyes irritationg them. Great for a natural look I recently bought this product and have to say it is the best foundation I've ever used. It never gets too oily or too dry which is great when you have combination skin like I do. It also looks very natural on my skin. My only complaint is that you get so little for the money. It was not what I expected... I thought that this foundation was going to have much more coverage since it is like a cream product. I got this in Supernova. I've got acne scarring and usually cream foundations give a very good coverage and help conceal better than liquid foundations but this product just didn't do the job. It isn't completely horrid though. The brush that came with it for me was just not good quality...I didn't like it. The foundation does give a sheer coverage. It leaves a satin to oily finish which is bad living in a humid place like Miami so I had to use powder to cover it up and it made me look even more oily throughout the day. I think that this product would b wonderful for dry to normal skin and with a good powder to set it. February 6, 2012
Great coverage for my skin! I have slightly oily skin with a few acne scars, and this product does a great job covering up my flaws even without foundation! However it is a little tricky applying with the brush, but it does a great job making your skin look smooth and natural. January 15, 2012
The only thing that's ever worked for me! I've tried other very nice brands of foundations and powders and this is the only one that's worked for me. Because my skin is so light I have to be careful to not look like a ghost. I bought this in fate and it looks so natural!! I can even be in photos without worrying about the flash reflecting on my make up and washing me out! Fantastic!! I also love the brush that come with it. Makes life easier! From winter to spring This is the best foundation i have found that's light on my face and gives me full coverage i use it during winter to spring the only thing i don't like is that once summer hit's i tan and i have yet to find a color in this brand that will work dream is way toooo dark UD make more colors so i can wear you all year lol any-hoo all i can say is this stuff is great it creamy light weight full coverage and last all day. Great creme-to-powder foundation. UD tends to be a hit or miss when it comes to face products, but this is definitely a winner. Long wearing with medium to full coverage. Can be difficult to apply when skin isn't properly prepped beforehand. The included brush is fantastic for the application of the foundation, and is easy to clean. The only con is that there aren't enough shades of this product for darker skintones. The darkest shade is only a perfect match for me during winter. NC45 for reference. I would definitely recommend this product, but I wish it were more WOC friendly. February 28, 2012
