I have this in the 0.5 shade, and after using it, nothing else will do! Nothing that I've found covers or matches better. I used to use Pur Minerals, but my skin looks so much softer and more beautiful with Naked! And believe it or not, it takes less time to apply! There's a definite technique to it, so it might not be totally accessible to everyone, and I don't know how well it works without the Urban Decay brush, since I've only ever used it with that. I purchased it last weekend hoping it would cover up my acne and it did exactly that! I also bought the Good Karma optical blurring brush with it, and it makes my skin look flawless. Spreads and blends effortlessly, covers amazingly well without looking cakey or orange (in fact it looks like I am wearing nothing at all, as the name suggests), doesn't smell bad, isn't too shiny, evens out skintone perfectly and lasts longer than my drugstore one I've been using. I am so glad I got samples of this, as I probably never would have tried it on my own as I am skeptical of claims that makeup "looks like nothing but has great coverage". I also cringe at trying something new at such a high price point (I've had trouble with high end foundations before). But this is worth every penny! Bought a bottle today! May 10, 2013My New Favorite Foundation I've used the top drugstore brand for years but I have finally found a better foundation. I purchased Naked Skin in 2.0. I'm fair and not blessed with perfect skin so I need something with some coverage. This delivers. It gives great coverage without feeling or looking heavy. Not drying either. Covers my flaws perfectly but looks natural at the same time. It gives you a smith and even skintone. I've always used a sponge to apply my foundation & it works great with Naked Skin but I plan on trying it with the recommended Optical Blurring Brush. I didn't get the brush yet. I love this product and you will too. Expensive but worth it. Why spend the money on high quality shadows but balk at paying to have a good base to apply it over? It's a medium-buildable coverage and boy does it do the trick! With one application I found my skin to be looking even and nice. It felt nice and lightweight, I didn't feel suffocated by the product. I love it, definitely an amazing foundation. Oil-free and when set with a power lasts all day. I find it great for all seasons, where in the winter the skin is more dry and in the summer more oily, some people use different foundations but I think you can use this all year round! With the money spent on this foundation you'll get an amazing use out of it. When applied with a flat top brush or beauty blender it provides a beautiful flawless airbrush type coverage that makes your skin look amazing. The color range could be better in my opinion. However, overall this is a great product that many skin tones can use. But based on what I do remember - this new foundation from Urban Decay is definitely one of the better ones. I like to apply it with my fingers on freshly moisturized skin for a very natural look and I can add more in certain areas if I need a little extra coverage. Plus I cannot really feel it on my skin which is a big plus! I find it VERY similar to another very popular, more expensive foundation (does "silk" ring a bell?). My only complaints are the fact that it initially seems to accentuate any dry patches I might have, I wish it had SPF in it, and I look a little oily after a couple hours (others might consider it "dewy"). After trying this out I'm not sure what all the hype is about. The shade range is poor considering how the majority of undertones that they cater to are warm undertones. Why is it that the only cool undertones in the lighter shades are the very palest or one that is slightly more medium? If you look at other brands you'll find that their biggest selling shades tend to be the cool toned shades in that area that Urban Decay neglected to include. The foundation does NOT look "Naked" as the name suggests. It sits on top of the skin no matter how much you blend it in and it is visible that you are in fact wearing a foundation. No manner of application works well, "Good Karma" brush? Fail. Paddle foundation brush? fail. Sponge? fail. Fingers? fail. The finish isn't "demi-matte", "natural" or "dewy" it's full one matte in a way that looks flat and unappealing even on the oiliest of skin types. After about 2 hours of wear it starts to get patchy on people with normal, combo-oily, and oily skin types. On dry skin'd clients it starts to look sallow after 2 or 3 hours of wear. You can't do a minimal application of the foundation on slight problem areas because it becomes obvious via the finish where the foundation ends and where the skin begins. Very unflattering and by far the worst foundation that I have ever tried, not even close to some of the other foundations on the market that it is being compared to. Being rather pale, it's often hard for me to find foundations that match my skin tone but 0.5 matches perfectly. The foundation coverage is great for my redness and discoloration and yet doesn't feel heavy at all. It doesn't burn or irritate my dry, sensitive skin either, which happens with some other brands I have used in the past. I wear it all day and use the optical blurring blush to apply it. March 11, 2013Not a long lasting coverage I wanted to love this product-but unfortunately this foundation does not last long for me! It looks great and seems flawless after first applying in the morning but soon after I leave the mirror, the makeup gets cakey looking and does not hold up to my day. I find when I get back to a mirror I am terrified at the imperfect look I see. And that is applying the foundation with the recommended brush and trying also with just fingers/regular makeup sponge. I LOVE this...wish I could get a mini size to keep in my purse...sometimes I'm on the go and don't put foundation on before I leave the house..it would be great to have a little version in my purse to apply last minute! They are light to medium coverage. If you plan on wearing them all day, be sure to use primer and setting spray. Even then i need to reapply after about 6 hours. January 5, 2013The Foundation Dreams Are Made Of I ordered this foundation online after using the Shade Selector. I was very nervous about it since I didn't have the chance to actually try it. Much to my delight, shade 3.5 seems about perfect! It's a *teensy* bit on the light side, but blends beautifully and with a bit of UD's Baked Bronzer it sets off my slightly tanned skin very nicely (I know that come fall/winter, it will match my skin tone exactly). I have an oily t-zone and use the Naked foundation with Pore Perfection Primer and De-Slick spray. This combination of products seems to be the Holy Grail for me, controlling oil on my face ALL DAY, even through the heat of summer (although, if I'm sweating, all bets are off!). Highly recommended if you desire light- to medium-coverage (it builds excellently) with a dewy (NOT shiny), natural look! August 7, 2012A weightless dream! Absolutely beautiful on the skin! August 7, 2012Flawless! I never used to wear a liquid foundation because I never felt like my skin could breathe, and all the foundations I tried looked unnatural. My skin also gets very oily, and it seemed that my skin would become even more oily when I would use a liquid foundation. Now, I've simply fallen in love with this product! It creates such a lovely glow to my skin, and diffuses my imperfections. The color is true, I'm a 6.0 and I've always had a difficult time finding a product that would match my olive skin tone. It also feels completely weightless and silky smooth. I spent the afternoon in 100 degree heat yesterday, and although I was sweating the whole time, my makeup stayed put! I highly, highly recommend this product, and although I don't usually spend this much on a makeup product, i feel it is worth the price.
