Over the years I have become somewhat of a makeup "guru" but I know I have plenty of friends who cringe at the sight of an eyelash curler...This product is perfect for novices and experts alike because it is so simple to use, yet it has so much potential! A simple swipe on the upper lid is enough to totally transform a lid - I like to use the more basic colors (black, white and silver) during the daytime and save the more "exotic" colors for the evening, but that's just me. With a little experimentation you could easily create an over-the-top glam look with these gems! If you have the patience you could try covering your whole lid in the glitter (the brush is a bit thin but it can be done) - just make sure to let it dry! These are a must have for any person into makeup! The only slight negative is that they can go on a little thin, requiring an extra coat if you want a really dramatic look. February 27, 2012Excellent control of glitter This is the perfect way to enjoy glitter. I'm not a huge fan of eyeshadows with tons of chunky glitter in them, but Heavy Metal allow you to control the placement and color of the glitter. You can paint this over eyeliner or dab it all over your eyelids. It doesn't budge after it dries. There will be no glitter on your cheeks (unless you put it there)! If you want it on your lids, make sure you keep your eyes closed until it dries, otherwise, the glitter will migrate into the crease. It also doesn't ruin the makeup you already have on. I bought this beautiful palette of non-UD cheapo glitter encased in a balm-like substance and it displaced the eyeshadow I had on---not Heavy Metal! I have Metalhead and Spandex, and I'll probably get Midnight Cowboy next. The only negative is that in the removal process, the glitter may get stuck between your lashes and you might not get it all right away. March 6, 2012Gorgeous Glitter! So these aren't for everyone, but they are for me. While they aren't an everyday staple they are gorgeously fun. I have stagedive, midnight cowboy, and glam rock. Layering any of these over eye shadows or ud's 24/7 pencils creates beautiful depth. Great way to amp up any look. Something I've found is applying the lighter colors of these under the eyes can create a great different look. February 16, 2012Who DOESN'T love glitter?! If you're looking for a fun and new way to amp up your makeup look, I highly recommend these! My personal fave is the gold one. I like to apply a fine line of this above my black gel liner, and it looks SO beautiful! Also, if you add a TINY bit in the middle of the bottom lash line, it makes your eyes sparkle and adds a nice, unexpected surprise when the light catches it. I love it! April 23, 2012Super easy to use I have "Stagedive' and it looks great with my eyes. They change color from blue to green to grey. If you have any of these colors in your eyes, it's an excellent color. The color is beautiful and the glitter is very noticeable. The brush makes precise application easy. It is a liquid eyeliner and therefore easy to smudge, but once it dries, it's not going to go anywhere. February 28, 2012Glitter!! This was one of the first U.D. products I ever bought and I now have almost every color. This glitter eye liner is the bomb! It is easy to apply (I put it at the top lash line over my eye liner/eye shadow) and it looks amazing! I have never had any glitter fall out from this product unless I rub my eyes by accident. These heavy metal liners have a sparkly pop to them and makes them a great look for any eye color. The colors go on easily and stay on for hours. I use it over the entire lid, but have used it as just a liner as well. It really pops and stands out. It's super easy to apply, it's not messy and it lasts all day. It's one of my all time favorite products. period. I've tried other brands, but nothing has ever worked as well as this one. UD is the only brand I will use for this. March 16, 2012Sparse Sparkles I love how sparkly the formula is, it is perfect to layer over matte shades. The glitter can be a little hard to apply, because when the glitter is wet it will crease a little, or the glitter just sticks to the applicator. All in all, the look is worth the small hassle, but it does stink when the glitter sticks on my lids when it's time for removal.. February 5, 2012Great glitter I bought a set and it had Spandex and a discontinued green color. I love love spandex! They are both great but I like to put spandex over black liner to make my eyes really dazzle. I have also added it to Paperself paper eyelashes. Spandex shows up really well on black, if you don't use a dark liner it ends up looking dark anyway because of the base. March 13, 2013Glittery, but not over the top These are glittery, but not clown like. The small brush and the stopper prevents that. I use these to add a bit of sparkle to my eyeliner. So pretty! These are foolproof, it's hard to make a mistake when using these. I normally wouldn't have bought this but I got one with a 24/7 set that i purchased and I really liked it! I have like 5 of them now. August 19, 2011Nice colors, hard to apply I found that when using this eyeliner, I had to dab the product on my lash line to get the glitter concentrated to the point where it was noticible. I wish they had a brown sparkle to blend in with brown eyeshadow, but for now the gold works pretty well. Such a pain to remove, glitter gets all over my face and still remains on my eyelid as well.
