Midnight CowboyRatings SummaryHeavy Metal 345 345Has Staying Power! I have 6 of these bad boys: Stagedive, Groupie, Catfight, Baked, Spandex & Air Guitar. I used Air Guitar (light blue) for my first use and I was kind of amazed how long it lasted....even lasted longer than UD's eyeshadow! I really thought Catfight (magenta/fushia) was going to be my fave- I'm a pink girl through & through- but Spandex is actually by far my favorite. February 16, 2012I love all things that sparkle Can I say how much I love glitter? I LOVE IT! I own two shades of Heavy Metal Glitter, Baked and Metal Head. It can be precisely applied (even dotting on a few pieces of glitter) thanks to the thin, precise brush-tip applicator. I like to apply it as a glittery eyeliner, and sometimes if I want a real pop, I will apply it all over my eyelid on top of a similar shade of eye shadow. It does not take long to dry in place. I fan it a little with my hand, and that's all it takes. I was nervous the first time I tried this product because I was afraid that after it dried, or sometime after wearing it, pieces of the glitter would fall off into my contacts and irritate my eyes. This has never happened. I can honestly say that I have never had the glitter get into my contacts. So I went back and bought a second color. :) February 25, 2012Go 80's! Let me start by saying I LOVE glittery eye makeup. These are perfect for adding some color to my glittery eyes. Air Guitar leaves a very pretty light blue sparkle. and Stagedive is more of a turquiose. I think these perform best if you use them over Zero or Perversion 24/7 eyeliners, or at least over a dark color. If anyone is confused, these are a clear base with small sparkly glitter suspended in it, not a sparkly liquid liner. That's what I had thought a first, and was suprised, but quickly realized how cool they still were. September 10, 2011Awesome, even for sensitive eyes These glitters liners are simply one of a kind. I bought my first one at age 14 (in Spandex) and rocked it over my regular black liner. They're just amazing. They can spice up any make-up look. I always thought that the glitter would irritate my eyes when it flaked off, but I was quite surprised to find that it doesn't flake, even when you rub it! This was a huge plus for me, because not only do I wear contacts, but I have sensitive eyes. These liners are a great addition to any make-up collection, because they come in so many great colors! August 24, 2011Go to glitter liner I love how these glitter liners add some fun to your look! I have Distortion and every so often, when I feel like I need one more thing to pull my whole look together, I throw on some of the glitter liner and am ready to go! It is so easy to apply and you usually only need one swoop of the brush. Although Distortion is white, you can tell you're wearing glitter without it being too crazy! February 10, 2012Perfect for sparkling! I love this product! It's perfect for adding a touch of flare to your daily outfit or dressing up for a night out. I have it in catfight, distortion, metal head, spandex, and stagedive. Needless to say, I'm obsessed with it. The liner stays all day and doesn't smear. Sometimes when taking it off, I'm left with a trail of glitter under my eyes but it's a small price to pay. It's pretty easy to apply. It applies smoothly and evenly. My eyelids itch while the product dries but after five minutes I can't tell I'm wearing it. February 14, 2012So much fun!! These eyeliners are so much fun to add on top of any of Urban Decay's colorful 24/7 glide on eye pencils. They take a couple coats by themselves to get a thick glittery line but other than that they are amazing! For anyone who is worried about purchasing this I would recommend the color Spandex, it has a black base color which goes great on top of any black eyeliner then it contains rainbow glitter which looks amazing and could spice up any dull black eyeliner if you are feeling something a little different. February 5, 2012Overall Average I think theres nothing that special about these glitters. I have 3 different colors and theyre comparable to my lower brand ones. The staying power is good and stays on but all of my brushes have gotten out of shape as Ive used them so theyre harder for me to apply properly now. Also remember to shake it before use because if u dont use it for awhile, the glitter separates from the clear fluid. It also seems to evaporate because I didnt use one in a while and noticed that much of it had disappeared. strange. So overall theyre just okay. They work good but I dont think you need to go out and spend your money on this when theres lots of cheaper brands that do the exact same. March 5, 2013It's only Rock & Roll. I absolutely love glitter and rock and roll and this liner will definitely give you the edge you need to stand out anywhere. It's perfect for anyone who wants to look glam and rock and roll. Will make your eyes pop. I've used it as liner to wing tip my eyes as well as in the inner corners for a little pop, but this is best with the lighter tones and even on the bottom of my eye as regular liner. You can even stroke it on your eye lashes to give your lashes a bit of pop. Seriously amazing! A must have. August 2, 2011If you want to turn heads... If you wanna turn heads with your dazzling eyes...then definitely buy this product! I dont wear this eyeliner all the time, because it's very sparkely. But if im going on a girls night out, going to holiday parties or im just feeling a little eccentric...i put on this eyeliner and im good to go. There's a wide variety of bright colors, the sparkles are intense and it applies very easy. Glam rock is my all time favorite! I apply it just above my eyeliner for a small touch of spakle or over my eyeshadow and over my entire lid for an intense glamorous look!! January 31, 2012Best In The Game. I came across these six or seven years ago. Ever since then, nothing has been comparable. These really stand out because the glitter is super solid, unlike most glitter liners that use a more transparent or plastic looking glitter. The distribution of the glitter in these is fantastic, considering that it's set in a clear base. You can get these suckers virtually opaque in three passes, and when they set, they aren't going to travel all over your face. There's a really a colour selection worth bragging about with these. Anything you want, UD has. The packaging is also awesome. The tube has thick walls, so it's not flimsy or squeezable, leaving it accident prone, and the brush, as with all liquid Urban Decay products, is fantastic. February 2, 2012Lots of glitter! I have covet, baked and mullet. I've used a lot of glitter liners. They can be frustrating! This one is marvelous. It has enough glitter that after two swipes the color is full and not patchy, especially over a matching 24-7 pencil. It also dries relatively quickly compared to other glitter liners, and when it dries it stays put. There's no glitter fall out either which means the glitter stays on my lids instead of all over my face. The forumula is thick enough that there's no mess. The price is a little high, but the quality definitely makes up for it. January 31, 2012Incredible Staying Power! This is the best glitter I have come across by FAR! It goes on like a liquid eyeliner, but I most often layer it over an eyeshadow for extra color and sparkle. If you have a good eyeshadow on, it doesn't disrupt the eyeshadow at all, so one can even play with different colors in different patterns and still have a uniformly glittery effect over the top of it all! For example, you can use eyeshadow to paint a "rainbow" on your eyelid and put the glitter over the top and end up with a perfect sparkly rainbow on your FACE! I have the "Distortion" which is an iridescent glitter (clear) so it goes great with just about any color underneath it! And because the glitter is clear, It blends in perfectly and never looks "chunky." It's easy to apply and VERY forgiving. The other color I have is "midnight cowboy" which is a little less versatile, because the glitter is an opaque gold, but if you apply it over a shimmery gold eyeshadow, your lids look like they came straight out of the Byzantine era! If you're applying it all over your lid area you will have to let it dry immediately after applying so it doesn't fold over on itself and stick, but once it dries, you'll be set for the rest of the night! It has lasted me entire roller derby bouts PLUS the afterparty AND the after after party, without budging one little bit! ;) And to top it all off, every single shade of the Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliners are VEGAN! :D February 16, 2012Glittery goodness! I bought this in distortion, because I figured it would be the most versatile. I have worn it over several colored eyeliner pencils and it looks wonderful over all of them! Like the other reviews say, you do need to apply more than one coat for a really glittery effect. But even one coat is nice just to add a little extra shimmer. :) Can't WAIT to get this in other colors. Wish they were a little cheaper, but they're worth it. Best glitter eyeliner on the market, hands down. May 5, 2012Super sparkly, amazing color! I happened to get one of these for free for being a frequent shopper and bought a display item of the 15 yr anniversary palette, this is fantastic! I will totally buy it in all the colors now! Super sparkly! Goes perfect with the naked palettes! But I love to wear it with deep end, the super turquoise color from the anniversary palette! It goes on pretty smooth, and stays on all night! Try not to get it in your eye it stings a little but it is glitter after all, but it doesn't fall into your eye if you're the least bit careful it won't happen. February 15, 2012Takes too long to get full effect I was really excited about this product but it took me forever to make a solid line of glitter on my lash line. To get a solid line of glitter to have to reapply and let dry several times, making sure not to accidentally close your eye before it's dry. I still like to use this product occasionally but not often because it takes too long to get my desired effect. Perhaps this product is better for people who just want a little splash of glitter in one area. As for the 'looks' that call for full lid coverage with this stuff, forget about it! I don't want to be in front of the mirror for hours. September 21, 2011Amazing Liquid Glitter Awesome product. It's great as a liner but my favorite way to use it is with my finger I tap it on my lids over shadow. It gives you that extra pop. A little can go a long way. So fun & easy to use. The colors are so pigmented. Groupie is an absolutely amazing pink shade. Midnight Cowboy is so pretty as well, a great light cool gold. If you're looking for a really golden look go with Baked. I also love MetalHead a great purple. I have some NYX glitter liners and really like them but they just can't compare to UD's Heavy Metal liners. UD glitter liners are in a whole other league. These have staying power like all of UD products. They may be a little pricey but they last longer than anything else out there so it's worth it. More bang for your buck. August 9, 2012Most definitely liking this liner!!!! You most absolutely NEED to try the heavy metal liners! Their perfect, their easy to use and won't give you that omg glitter look. It's really subtle, and the brush makes it effortless to apply, You can make a small line or thicken it up to make your look POP! I've even done a cat eye with them that rocked and used them over regular eyeliner to give my eyes incredible definition. Like I said I absolutely love them and anyone can use them and they look uh-mazing! Midnight cowboy is my fav and so goes with a lot of different looks!! :) February 28, 2012Fun! I have this product in a couple of colors and they come in handy quite a bit! They might not be for everyday looks for most people, but they really do add that extra touch for special events or holidays. They apply very evenly and they have great staying power. The small applicator brush allows for precision application versus glitter everywhere. You will definitely get noticed wearing this product and I get tons of compliments every time I wear one. February 17, 2012The perfect extra "something" for your look! I adore these Heavy Metal glitter liners. I use it over the 24/7 pencil on my top lid for those events that I want to step it up a notch. I have owned Stagedive (green), Baked (gold) and Glamrock (silver) and loved them. Stagedive was the most dramatic and really popped with brown eyes. Distortion (iridescent) is the only one I have not liked and would not purchase again. It just doesn't have the same impact as the others. It's more a sheer shimmer than a true glitter like the others, so it doesn't have as much pop to it as the rest. I just bought Spandex, and while that says it's black, it really is blue, but it's a great blue! These are long lasting in the bottle and on your face! Fantastic! March 8, 2013A little sparkle to your day! I bought this on a whim and fell in love. It applies like a liquid liner and doesn't move once it's dry. No worry of fall out with this. Which is great because we all know adding sparkle to your look and some times end with you looking like a fairy smacked you in the face. I use this to either amp up liner or to and designs to photoshoot looks. A great little secret weapon to keep in your makeup kit. Even for day time looks it add a nice shimmer. Best part is, you can control how sparkly you are with how many coat you put on! No clumps, bumps or over glittered areas. All I can say is, LOVE! March 5, 2013ADDS A BEAUTIFUL SPARKLE TO YOUR EYES I am hooked on "Heavy Metal". It is the prettiest purple. It really gives my eyes a pretty sparkle! And it makes my green eyes pop! Easy to apply. I wear Heavy Metal over the 24/7 eye liner in Zero. I've received so many compliments-even in church!!! January 31, 2012GLITTERIFIC My cute little saying is "if it's broke, just add glitter". Some dear friends of mind introduced me to Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner approximately five years ago. Since then, just for giggles, I have tried every glitter product that I can find and they always go straight to the garbage. There is nothing out there better then Heavy Metal. It never clumps, flakes, and stays put! It completes me :) January 31, 2012Beautiful, but stings... I got this in Midnight Cowboy, which is the perfect accent color glitter for a full face of makeup on a night out. I love the resulting look and it's not difficult to apply... But for some reason, when drying down, the formula stings my eyelids :/ I don't typically have allergic reactions to makeup, and it could be because it is in a really delicate area. In any case, it won't stop me from using the product, but I have to admit I find it unpleasant. If the formula were such that it didn't cause a stinging reaction, I might wear this even more! I get so many compliments when I do. March 5, 2013It's hard to make a wrong turn with glitter I just got this in Glam Rock. I love using a lot of different liner colors, pencils, liquids, whatever. So I bought one of these beauties to try it on for size.. HOLY DANG. I applied a very thin line on my top lid over the Stardust eye shadow and once it dried, it literally looked like I had glued on several BRIGHT rhinestones. SO cool. I'll be buying more colors once this lovely product goes on sale. Hint hint to UD? May 2, 2012Instant Glam Rock Makeover I feel like a lot of really great products get overlooked because of all the buzz over the Naked line. The Heavy Metal Glitter Liners are one of those products. If you're a glitter fan but hate having to deal with the fallout from sparkly eye shadows, this is for you. The glitter stays where you put it and doesn't have the gritty, annoying feel that some sparkly cosmetics tend to have. I personally use this by layering it over black cat eye liner, as a finish over cream eye shadow, or on my cheekbones as a highlighter if I'm going all out glam. Overall, these are a great product that deserve more love on beauty blogs and Youtube. I would hate to see them get banished to the clearance page and then disappear forever. March 5, 2013Literally WAKES you UP!!! I absolutely love this glitter eyeliner. It's a quality product, own it in 2 shades--Baked and Distortion. It applies very clean with the precision brush. After the first stroke of application, you just want to keep on applying more. It's that good! It's a mood enhancer to say the least. Makes you fall in Love with your own eyes. If I could change one thing it may be that add a little more glitter. Works well without it too as you can control the amount of glitter that is applied. Definitely want to try out the other shades this product comes in. Keep it up UD! March 8, 2013Awesome colors and payoff! I love this! I own "Mullet" and "Spandex." This green (mullet) is more of a silverly lime green in person, way less offensive than the picture makes it out to be. My boyfriend loves the color and it makes my eyes greener! As far as Spandex goes, this color is ridiculously amazing. If you haven't seen it in person, it is mindblowingly beautiful! It's a black with pink, blue, teal, and purple glitter in it! It is also very pigmented and only needs one line to make a statement. This is my favorite thing now! I'm ordering more colors. July 26, 2011This product has great pigment, the colors selections are excellent and vibrant, the quality i could not ask for better the brush application is excel As I love vibrant colors this colors are excellent gives the eye a eye opener look, i always use them by itself or use the same color eyeliner under them and they look excellent , I always get compliments and the looks of the eyes. I will advise this product for purchased also you can combine a few colors and use them also to give a unique look one of a kind. February 14, 2012SUPER GLITTERY!!! Ok, so I know this is glitter eyeliner, but somehow I didn't expect it be so glittery lol! I recently got Midnight Cowboy & I had to laugh once I applied it for the first time today because it was ridiculously glittery! I used it over the purple Lust eyeliner & it was REALLY visible! No worries about this not showing up, it really stands out! I think I'll stick to using this mainly at night. It was very easy to use, I have never used liquid eyeliner of any kind & this worked very well for me. If you love glitter this is for you!
