Super Saturated Sweetness I absolutely love love love this pencil! It's truly the best of a lipstick and a gloss with the staying power of a stain rolled into one easy to use pencil! You do need to exfoliate and prime before using this product if you want it to last, as well as let it set for around 5 minutes to really let the color soak in. If you follow the prep, you will get the most insanely gorgeous color payoff! I started off with Adrenaline, and I cannot wait to get Lovechild, F-Bomb, and Big Bang. If you want creamy, beautiful color in a convenient pencil that lasts all day, then you need to get Super Saturated. What can I say, it lives up to it's name! August 7, 2012
Gorgeous shine! I love how shiny and pigmented these are. I used the colors Crush and also Lovechild. Both are gorgeous! So opaque and shiny! The only thing is the shine stays on, but because it doesn't really dry down at all, it rubs off really easy. Because they're so wet and pigmented I worry about getting it on my clothes or hands (then to my clothes). They really are beautiful, but might not be worth it because of the wetness, and that you have to shave product off when you sharpen the pencil. I really wish there was a twist tube version because the colors are super gorgeous! The lipstick and the gloss of the same colors have a totally different look. August 10, 2012
nice texture, but lacking color selection I bought "Naked" thinking it was the "natural" color in this line-up - it's been described on various websites as a "nude pink sheen". I was picturing something like Wallflower Lip Junkie (described here as "nude creamy pink") but with a little shimmer, and in a more traditional "lipstick" texture. When I received it, Naked was an opaque, heavily pearlized, medium-to-deep toned mauve. Nothing "naked" about it. I like that it comes in a pencil, I liked the way it felt on my lips, and it had decent staying power, but please Urban Decay, how 'bout a few pale-to-light, neutral, *natural* shades? It hugs my lips :-) I first got the opportunity to try these glosses in my Theodora palette. I love the red color, which is apparently close to F-Bomb, and it's very easy to apply. It's super smooth, and what surprised me was that it actually stays on really well. I love to put lipgloss over my lipstick, and that usually makes the lipstick fade. Not with this one! The color stayed, my lipgloss stayed, and it even stayed decently well after eating. (Touch ups were needed, but, it still stayed well for the most part.) Even without any other lipgloss over it, this gloss is soft, smooth, shiny, and keeps my lips soft. If there were any complaints, it'd be we need more colors! :-) March 6, 2013
F-Bomb Everywhere!!! I bought this in F-Bomb and this is going to be the product that makes me break down and buy a lip primer. The color is a gorgeous and shimmery bright red, its easy to apply, and there's no bad smell or flavor. The downside? It can't stay put. I can't eat, drink, touch my lips, or even make a pout without bright red getting on something. Twice I've looked in the mirror and had red on my chin for who knows how long. Touchups are a frequent neccesity, so keep a mirror and sharpener handy. Honestly, unless I do absolutely nothing but look pretty, this F-Bomb is as obnoxious as its namesake. But I like the look so much, I'll spend even more money on a product I didn't previously need just to keep my gloss where it belongs. It really is that gorgeous. October 27, 2012
Poor replacement for the lipstick I used to love the Lovechild lipstick. It was between a lipstick and a gloss. So I tried the Lovechild in the new pencil formula. It is tacky, not as shiny, and you have to sharpen it, so you cannot keep it in your purse, unless you carry a sharpener around. It is okay for lining or in addition to gloss. Not a complete replacement for the lipstick. The old lipstick was the draw to Urban Decay for me, now, not so much. I will definitely continue to look for a replacement lipstick, with another brand. Highly pigmented, vibrant, nourishing & long-lasting color This lip pencil is truly unique! Never before have i tried a lip "pencil" quite like this! (albeit, this pencil is jumbo sized, with a softer, more smooth, supple application than normal lip "pencils")...It is NOT a lip liner! Much more like a lipstick/ gloss combo, in one handy product! Glides on and provides opaque color coverage like a pencil and lipstick, with the moisture and nourishing feel of a lip balm. Absolutely perfect! in shade "F-bomb", i dont even need a lip liner OR lipstick! this Super-staurated lip encil fits the bill perfectly, and eliminates the need for 2-3 lip products for one look.
