I do think that instructions should come with this item on how to open it because I would have had I not researched. Other than that, this is great. I love the applicator. With other mineral make-ups, i would spill powder and even get powder on my clothes. With this UB puff, there is no mess. I think it is just fantastic and hope the applicatior isnt discontinued due to the negative reviews because once you understand how it works, it is so super fantastic and totally mess-free! April 27, 2012Good Product I like this product because it gives me good coverage. I do not like to use the sponge for applying the make-up, so instead I simply twist the cap off and apply with a brush. My skin has a lot of dark spots, so first i wet a brush and dip it into the powder and then swirl the mixture in the cap and then apply it to my face as a concealer. Then, I use my Good Karma blush brush to apply the powder to my entire face. I am african-american so my skin tone is a light, not extremely light like caramel, brown, and the Mirage matches my skin perfectly. I have yellow tones in my skin so I like this foundation because most foundations have too much red November 27, 2011Love Love Love! I bought this product yesterday, but after two uses, I am SOLD. I have used other mineral powders before, but they felt chalky and smelled metallic. Although application with the sponge was a little confusing, the powder itself is amazing. I don't wear much make up at all and I have clear skin, but sometimes I like to even it with a light layer of powder. I put a light layer on and blended it and my skin looked FLAWLESS. Three separate people who see me on a daily basis told me my skin looked great. I have olive skin, so I bought Supernova. I am so satisfied that I got rid of all my other powders. Urban Decay is the best. July 28, 2011Must try! I am allergic to the sun, so my face is really red and splotchy sometimes. However, I have perfectly clear skin when it comes to acne or scars or anything else. I needed a powder (liquid foundation always feels oily to me) with sheer enough coverage to still show my skin, but keep my redness at bay. This product did just that! I absolutely love the color match (Nirvana) and my skin looks flawless. The only downfall to this product is the sponge applicator. It's terrible, and you can barely get any makeup out of it. Fortunately for me you can unscrew the dang thing and use a regular makeup brush. This product is a must have! July 2, 2012Excellent Natural Coverage I love this mineral makeup. You can have either a sheer coverage or a full coverage with a very natural look that is lasting. The applicator is easy to use. I had to ask in the store how to use this applicator as I do not have any other makeup like this one: just tap against the palm of your hand several times to get it started, then you can see the make up come out and even puff up if tapped too hard. I really like how the applicator is so easy to use and stays attached with the easy slider to close so the makeup stays without a mess when I toss it in my bag for travel. I have the color illusion which matches my fair skin perfect. I would highly recommend this mineral makeup to all skin types and ages. April 23, 2012BEST Mineral Foundation I have tried some many mineral and powder foundations and yet I always go back to this one. It truly is the best! I love that the shades are yellow based as I can always find a match no matter what the season. The packaging is adorable and I usually use my BE brush to apply it but I do like the puff to buff it out as my final step to my routine and the puff also comes in handy if I need to touch up on the go. I love that it gives me the full coverage I need without looking cakey or powdery. It also gives my oily skin a natural finish that is never too shiny and lasts. You don't need a separate concealer or finishing powder so the price is well worth it. December 4, 2012:c I LOVE this foundation, but urban decay doesn't make a shade light enough for my super pale skin. I bought illusion and had to give it to one of my friends who it actually worked for because it was way too dark for me. I was so disapointed because I LOVED the way it felt on, it was light and you could barely tell you had it on while wearing it and the coverage was amazng. But I just looked silly because it was so much darker than my skin :c If they made a lighter powder foundation, I would TOTALLY buy it! September 23, 2011Useless I love Urban Decay products, which is why I wanted to like this for a new foundation. When it comes to my makeup, the only thing I like to spend a lot of time on is my eye makeup. I hate applying foundation so I bought this because I thought it would be simple. It is not simple. The applicator is a piece of junk. There have been other reviews that stated you can remove the top and use an applicator brush, but for price I shouldn't have the rig the thing to make it work. The powder seems to be a good quality when I can actually get some on my face. Needless to say, I won't be purchasing it again. I'll stick with UD eye makeup and brushes.
