Melissa Alatorre Naked Heat Tutorial | Naked Heat Spotlight Eye Look

When we gave Melissa Alatorre (a gorgeous and insanely talented beauty blogger) our Naked Heat palette and asked her to create a custom look, we knew we were in for something HOT. And it turned out even better than that! Watch now to get all the steps to steal this scorched spotlight eye.

Naked Heat x Beauty is Boring

Anytime we get the chance to collaborate with BEAUTY IS BORING, we jump on it (just like we did last year. We’re really, really into this inventive, inspiring beauty site—all the content is addicting! So, of course, we asked their team to play with Naked Heat—our most sweltering Naked palette yet—and work their magic.

The results? Four hotter-than-hot looks. And, lucky for you, we’re sharing all the details. Here’s everything you need to know:

LOOK #1: COMPLETELY SCORCHED

Begin by applying Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, starting at your lash line and blending upward toward your brow. This quick step will keep your eyeshadow in place all day or all night—no matter how hot things get.

Using Naked Heat, sweep Dirty Talk on your lid, from your lash line to your crease. Then, blend it along your lower lash line to create a smoky effect.

Next, apply Scorched directly over Dirty Talk. Blend the shadow up past your crease using circular motions with the UD Pro Smoky Crease Brush, stopping just under your brow.

To highlight, add a little bit of Ounce just under your brow arch.

To add extra definition to this look, line your upper lash line using Zero from Naked 24/7 Glide-On Double-Ended Eye Pencil in Zero. Tightline your lower lash line with Whiskey (the other end of the eye pencil).

Other products used: Brow Box, Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, Naked Skin Shapeshifter, Subversion Lash Primer and Vice Lipstick in Scorched.

LOOK #2 SOME LIKE IT HOT

Begin by applying Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, starting at your lash line and blending upward toward your brow.

Using Naked Heat, dip the UD Pro Angled Eyeliner Brush into En Fuego and create an exaggerated cat-eye shape. If you have a hard time getting a strong line with powder eyeshadow, try holding a business card against the outer corner of your eye as a stencil. Smudge the edges gently, but don’t blend.

Take the Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen and trace along your upper lash line to create a second line. Stop at the outer edge of your eye.Curl your lashes for even more drama, then apply Subversion Lash Primer—followed by three coats of Perversion Mascara. Leave your lower lashes bare for a flirtier look.

Finish the look with a bright red lip using Vice Lipstick in 69.

Other products used: Brow Beater Microfine Brow Pencil and Brush, Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, Naked Skin Shapeshifter and Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Blush in Quiver.

LOOK #3: SAUCED AND GLOSSED

As always, start by applying Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion to your lid.

To create this playful, experimental look, blend Sauced from Naked Heat onto your entire lid, right up to your brow.

Using Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen, draw a thin line right at the base of your upper lash line, flaring it out just slightly at the corner.

Give your lashes a quick curl, but skip the mascara.

Using a sheer or translucent lipgloss, gently pat it directly over the eyeshadow with your finger. The intense sheen brings out the vibrancy of the color and gives it an editorial vibe.

Other products used: Brow Tamer Flexible Hold Brow Gel, Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup, Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, Naked Skin Shapeshifter, Naked Flushed in Naked and Vice Lipstick in Fuel.

LOOK #4: DEVILISH

Begin by applying Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion, starting at your lash line and blending upward toward your brow.

Using Naked Heat, apply He Devil from your upper lash line to just below your brow. Using the UD Pro Flat Eyeshadow Brush, create an exaggerated sharp angle on the outer corner, then blend He Devil under your eye using the UD Pro Smoky Smudger Brush.

To amp up the metallic effect, apply Scorched over the entire shape, being careful to maintain the sharpness of the upper outer corner.

For more definition, line your upper lash line with Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen.

Finish the look by applying two coats of Perversion Mascara to your upper lashes. Leave your lower lashes bare.

Other products used: Brow Beater Microfine Brow Pencil and Brush, Brow Tamer Flexible Hold Brow Gel, Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup,Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, Naked Skin Shapeshifter, Naked Flushed in Sesso and Vice Lipstick in Fuel.
