What's Your Beauty Story With Kyla Wright-Givens

As Director of Education here at UDHQ, Kyla knows everything about UD—inside and out. She’s in charge of ensuring our entire sales force is fully trained, knowledgeable and ready to answer all of your questions. And, of course, Kyla’s makeup game is STRONG. Here’s her beauty story.

Q - Name + Hometown + Years with Urban Decay
I am Kyla Wright-Givens, an Urban Decay OG from the OC. I have worked for UD since 2008, and did every job in the sales field possible before moving to UDHQ in Education.

Q - When did you realize you were a beauty junkie?
I saw Clair Huxtable on the The Cosby Show and was sold! She had on red lipstick and red nail polish and was such a beauty icon. She reminded me a lot of my mother and sparked my love for makeup in such an amazing way. Shout out to you, Clair Huxtable; you go, girl!

Q - What do you love most about UD?
The thing I love most about Urban Decay would have to be the people! UD has this crazy ability to connect people through a common love of makeup, self-expression and empowerment. It’s so cool to see people from all over the world who share the same vibe. And to think that a beauty brand is the connective thread—it’s powerful!

Q - What’s your drink order?
Water. I plan to look 21 forever.

Q - What’s your vice?
Donuts. Please, send donuts.

Q - Products you’re obsessed with?
The original Naked palette, Vice Liquid Lipstick in Double Crossed, Moondust Eyeshadow in Horizon, 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Bourbon, and Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray.
